@@Zhaymoor I just had mine repaired. I suggest purchasing an additional laptop, must be the same model as the one that is damaged, and transferring the drive. The process takes less than 5 minutes.
It's apple only, you need to be an apple authorized service provider to get the tool. plus it literally ONLY works on the 2016-2017 MBP. They removed the port on all later MBP's, which was very annoying. I always thought it was brilliant they designed it this way, it saved me once when I didn't have a recent backup of my 2016 MBP back in the day.
