After seeing this, and having driven this route perhaps 2000 times; this must have taken place on a Sunday morning between 8am and 10am, the only time traffic is like that in Atlanta. You notice the shadows from the vehicles are in the right, sun rises in the east, and car is going south.
Just in case anyone is interested...Right after that first sign for I-75 when the skyline is visible (at 10:39 ), that is where the 85 bridge caught on fire and a huge section of it collapsed a couple of years ago. I could actually see the fire from my house and heard the collapse. It was beyond a nightmare for traffic for a couple of weeks until people adjusted their time of travel and figured out alt routes. I needed to make a 5min trip to Home Depot the next day that took me a hour and a half to get to (and I know every back road...they were all gridlocked...quite miserable).

I live in Flowery Branch ga and drives that stretch about 30 times a year mostly to ATL airport. I thought the Atlanta skyline was kinda cool but when I visited Philly earlier this year, I was very impressed with their skyline. Makes Atlanta looks Third World
It’s because almost every other cities skyline is close together. And Buckhead is a continuation of the skyline. If you want to see how long Atlanta‘s skyline real is go on the west side of I-20 near 6 flags
Mike, why do you start videos of the Atlanta area from well within the developed area, but other metropolitan areas you seem to start them way out in the rural areas? From where you started this video, you missed about 27 miles of suburban area throughout Gwinnett County. That is, developed parts of the metropolitan area. It seems strange to start a video of the Atlanta area from near Jimmy Carter Boulevard, as stated, that's almost 30 miles from where the suburbs start, and is about 40 miles from where the exurban areas start.

Bingo! Took about 3 days to time this where the sun wouldn't be glaring too much and the traffic wasn't crazy.
The Downtown skyline is just absolutely beautiful ❤️
I second that!!!!..second only to ours..nashville tennessee..😊❤
Welcome to Atlanta everybody

The downtown skyline really does make you fall in love. I wish it wasnt so expensive to get a view like that
Well, it is cheaper to get a view like that in ATL than New York City, though the average median income is higher there
My beautiful hometown however, the Downtown Connector I-75 I-85 is usually stand still traffic. It’s not always this calm when you drove through.
Yeah it took me a while to time this for decent traffic and also avoiding heavy sun glare.
That brought back lots and lots of memories thanks for sharing this!
I miss my hometown. Lived there 50 yrs. Wish I was back but Im in Albany
Why did you move so far into the country? Even though Albany is technically a big city in Georgia

You should do I-20 West in Atlanta, Georgia, if you haven't left Atlanta yet.
Didn't have time on this trip. I'll get it eventually.
Yazmin Hernandez's Roadways in Downtown Atlanta.
Alyssa Pajarillo's Roadways of Interstate 285.
Janet Elegue's Roadways of Interstate 85 Southbound.
I don’t know when you are driving this route, but I live nearby and drive often I have never seen the interstate with this few cars.
Yeah It took me a while to time it to where the traffic was reasonable and the sun glare wasn’t too overbearing.

Trees are good to have inside the city and outside. I live in Stone Mountain and we have trees.
Atlanta is nicknamed "The City in a Forest" because of all its trees while most cities tear all of it down to build indrustial buildings.
I would love to visit Atlanta GA
Definitely a place to see

I been to ATL since 2016
Atlanta is in the middle of the very dense Piedmont forest. All those trees were there for atleast a million years before people arrived.
@@KingAsa5imagine how much pollution and heat because the lack of trees, think. It’s better for the air and environment.

there would be far fewer accidents on the Interstates if only the left lane was allowed to overtake
I wanna see you drive on 85 from Charlotte to Atlanta. Or vise versa.
Maybe when the construction on 85 is done in South Carolina.
