If you have been at for a year or two you will have experienced many fails. But if you learn something from them and move forward you have gained a great lesson. Thanks Mely D
I am SO glad you chose to post this video and provide feedback on those comments about everything being perfect; being on social media we all too often only see the good bits which in reality probably make up around 30-40% of what’s actually created that never gets posted. Great save and love the finished result Melissa 🥰
Love what you were able to pull out of this painting! And THANK YOU for reminding everyone of reality and fails happen. You are a true artist in every sense of the word! Glad to hear you are feeling better!
Mel is human but not afraid❗️I love you & your art. It all stems from being real & honest. This is interesting how the satin white mixed with the black, came out dramatic❣️I love your nails 🤩😻
I really like it when the artist show fails, it helps me to learn not to give up on a piece I am working on, thank you for showing me just that to keep going... 💞💞 Your end result is great ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Like it? I freaking love it....colors , composition, black hole ...everything about this is awesome!!! The painting in your room is so gorgeous too...Both you and Elyse are phenomenal artists! Feel better soon!♥
Thank you so much for sharing a fail and showing us how you saved it. When all I see are the wins, I have to remind myself that everyone fails, but you have to jump back on the horse and try again. Hope you feel better soon!
Absolutely amazed me what you can achieve!!! So darn good to see you in your happy place. I hope you get over covid quickly, I've had it and it's horrible 💓💓🍀🍀
Thank you for your encouraging, comforting and inspiring words! Art includes diligence, failure and constant trying and patience. Thank you for making that very clear for once. It always looks so easy, but it's a rocky road that you want and have to walk when you have a goal. Great picture!
They say, the only way not to fail, is to not try. Picasso was said to have only 10% of paintings that weren’t “failures” I think I’ve got a better percentage to be honest. I always try to remember that. My failures even have become my favs. So what can you do?! Just keep trying, like you said 🌞
What??? My superhero is human??? Lol 🤣🤣🤣 just kidding. This turned out so beautiful Mely. Your authenticity comes out in your work and I love your adventurous style. One of my favorite parts of this piece is the neutrals that were created in the bottom left corner. Nice to have neutrals and brights and soft pastels all in one painting. You so nailed it. Thanks so much for your continued inspiration. Hope you’re feeling well soon
Wow I love it, I don't know one artist who hasn't had a fail from time to time, they may not always put it on video but common sense tells you everyone fails from time to time the beauty of it is we learn from it and move forward we don't let it stop us from doing what we love. I think people forget that we are all human and none of us are perfect we miss up at times but it's OK we're human lol. I have had many fails but I don't let it keep me down I learn from it and move on.
I'm so so sorry you have Covid. 3 of my family have it too so we are holding off with our Easter celebration. I hope you recover very quickly Mel. Your blow out looks Amazing. 00xx
Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry you caught covid, but glad your doing better. I've done straight pours and wound up blowing parts of it. Lol. I call them a tale of two pours
Beautiful.love it. The blend of color is subtle but dynamic too. I tried this type of thinking approach yesterday during a painting session. It failed initially and then let myself be curious about the paint and experiment more. What happens if I do this? I find I learn so much more about paint that way. Thank you for your authenticity and continuing inspiration.
Hi Mel! Hope you're feeling 100% soon! Thank you for being such a Real person! I don't consider any painting a True Failure unless it's Sooo Bad I scrape it & have No Clue WTF went wrong 🤣 Sometimes, If I let go of what I Wanted it to be & see it for what it is instead, I decide it's actually quite a nice piece. Then try again for what I was going for that time. Lots of love💕💕
You're so modest and humble and your comments so generous. Thank you for your encouragement. 😊
What a gorgeous save. Hello blow dryer!!! We all fail at paintings because the paint has a mind of own.
Anyone else see the bobcat leaping into the darkness? I really like this piece, you nailed it again! 👌
Yes, very naturally organically pretty is an excellent description. Beautifully done!
If you have been at for a year or two you will have experienced many fails. But if you learn something from them and move forward you have gained a great lesson. Thanks Mely D
thank you for the pep talk. I can get so discouraged. Fluid art is always an experiment and should be fun! You are a great inspiration.
Mel, thanks for keeping it real! I can’t believe you got paint all over your pretty nails 😱. Always enjoy your videos.

Very gorgeous Mely! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
all of us have fails and just need to try to fix or scrape, that's the way it is. This turned out well. Please be careful so you don't relapse.

A tale of 2 pours, I like that
I really like this one! The colors & composition are great with so many “weirdo” cells to look at! 😂

Yes!!! This is what I wanna hear and I agree 100%
I have scraped off many of canvases
Where have you gone ? Loved the saved painting... I have lots of fails, just learning...

Ooooh WHAT is that purple that you used?? I so need to get me some of that! Nice save, pretty painting 🙂
Its folkart colorshift and I lost most of it 😭 I just had to save this painting not to have all that waste
They do say that a marker of true skill is to be able to turn a mistskr into a success. Like what you've done here.
Thank you :)
I'm my worst critic so I feel like failure is my middle name ot of the time .It feels so good when u don't give up and make a masterpiece though.
It does feel good. You gotta follow your gut.
Thanks!
Curious - what brand/color is that dusty purple-gold?
It's folkart colorshift. I was so bummed of kinda wasting it I just had to make this painting work. Sucks I lost a lot of it though.
I hope you fully recover from the covid. I Had it 2x it was horrid.Did u loose your sense of smell as well
It's my second time too and it was horrible. I lost my sense of smell yes but it came back 90%.
