Croatia has become the 28th member of the European Union, with crowds joining celebrations in the capital Zagreb. Celebrations took place in the central square of Zagreb.

No organization is perfect, but UN and EU were created to stop global wars like WW1 and WW2, and thank to them we have almost 80 years without those deadly wars. Civil wars and small wars will always exist.

The EU is a great institution, all we need now is the power for the people to elect the President if the European Union. As at the moment the people don't have a say in that matter.
People do have a say, but there is a lot of room for improvement. The president is decided during EU Parliament elections when each parliamentary group proposes a candidate. It is how Britain or Germany choose their PMs.

Za tvoju informaciju, BiH i Srbija imaju odličnu saradnju sa EU, ali nepada nam nam na pamet da ulazimo u EU i budemo sluge kao vi. BiH i Srbija neće odvajati 2% svog BDP-a, kako bi članarinu plaćala. Kofole HR dobija 22 milijarde od EU, a prije toga, HR već 7 godina plaća 2% BDP-a Europskoj Uniji i 11 godina 2% BDP-a NATO-u + se zadužila jako puno za izgradnju autocesta. Od 2013 godine, kada Hrvatska ulazi u EU do danas, izgubila je preko 350.000 stanovnika, korona virus još više pogoršala situaciju, a na to, njihovi dragi ' Europejci ' im zatvaraju granice ( Slovenija, Njemačka, Nizozemska, Austrija, Poljska ),... Pozdrav iz nezavisne Federativne Republike Bosne i Hercegovine u kojoj mulsimani, katolici, pravoslavci, jevreji, i ostale vjere žive zajedno. 💞

the same. but it's better to be the part of the EU states.
I wouldn't say but it was worse, but it is much better now. Thank to EU funds we have developed much better infrastructure, advanced education and economy, ofc trading agreements also helped economic development. As a country that depends on tourism for one part of it's income it became much more accessible to rest of the EUrope. But also achieving the criteria for joining the EU increased the standard by itself. And of course having a voice in Europan community even tho it's 4-5M ppl country
Meanwhile in UK we are shutting ourselves in. Ridiculous to suit an ever more racist country.
