    "Delirium" and the Lp " Dolceacqua ". Others from Italy : Premiata, Banco,
    Le Orme, New Troiis, Il Rovescio della Medaglia, Area, Perigeo

    Shine on and Echoes, the best ones IMHO. I'd would add: Finale (Greenslade), Prologue (Renaissance), 1974 (O Terço), Irene (Kayak), Los Delirios del Marischal (Crucis), Princese (Camel), I believe (Triunvirat) and many Alan Parson's Project's tracks. Greets from Brazil.

    So at the end of 1972 Sounds music paper publishes its albums of the year. Who comes at the top of the list, Argus, by Wishbone Ash. This was a massive album and commercially successful. Firmly considered progressive rock. This has to be a massive oversight.!

    I am not familiar with most of the groups but I do know Jethro Tull and they were #1 . They were the 1st live band I saw and was so shocked at the talent that I saw them over 300 more times in 12 states and 100s of venues. Did anyone else have a Jethro Tull hobby ?

    Add Grobschnitt (Ernie's Reise, Come On People, Rockpommel's Land, all of the Jumbo LP), Tai Phong (For Years and Years (Cathy), St Johns Avenue, The Gulf of Knowledge, Out of the Night), England (all of Garden Shed LP). Agree with Genesis and Yes, plenty more by both bands

    I completely agree with you Thick as a Brick in conjunction with Passion Play are the two best albums done in the progressive rock history. One time i heard Andrew Giddings said , Jethro Tull music is only for not all ears is for smart people.

    It's amazing to me that all these "prog rock" lists fail to ever include Todd Rundgren's Utopia 10/74. An album head and shoulders above 3/4 of those you list here.

    Will there be a list about the songs from the 2000s too? Well, for me anyway, I'm planning to create one soon, but this time around, it's a top 100 list of each song from each year - starting from 2000 up to the current year. And, there are no repeating songs, and from that I mean, one album per each year.

    Per carità le classifiche possono essere opinabili soggettive ,quindi ogniuno può fare la sua , però vedere avanti in classifica con tutto il rispetto gli SBB band polacca sconosciuta ai più precedere addirittura i PINK FLOYD di ATOM HEART MOTHER suite ,da MOLTO da pensare secondo me questa classifica ed anche vedere sempre i PINK FLOYD con THE GREAT GIG in THE SKY lo strumentale col grande e celebre vocalizzo di CLARE TORRY così indietro in classifica addirittura nelle ultime posizioni NO anche questo fa pensare e poi non ho visto NIENTE di STRAWBS , PROCOL HARUM ,MOODY BLUES , FAMILY , CURVED AIR ,MARILLION , SPOOKY TOOTH , KATE BUSH, HAMMILL e GABRIEL ,KANSAS, STYX etc !!!!!! E poi vederci anche i KHAN band Prog canterburiana e non vederci NIENTE di MATCHING MOLE , HENRY COW , GONG,EGG che secondo me un po'più di notorietà l'avevano rispetto a quella band citata , ma vabbè DE GUSTIBUS !!!!!!!

      Rush is good but not that good. If you can't incorporate a quality keyboard player it's hard to play with the big boys.
