@@roonil3931 I plan to order the book one of these days to see these characterizations for myself. That said, I feel like the vast majority of sympathy for Hawk can stem from Matt and how easy it is for people to forgive or qualify the actions of characters with his resemblance. I always think back to Penn Badgley's point of people sympathizing with Joe from "You" (a tremendously more extreme example) with the quote: “Joe is this work-in-progress in dismantling and dissecting the myriad privileges that a young, attractive, white man carries with him.” That's Hawk (and, at times, Tim) in his own respect as well.
great panel discussion, Ron is the Best🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
I saw the first episode and omg it’s such a beautifully made show.
The book is beautiful. It Will make you cry. But I feel in love with Tim and Hawk, although I didn’t like Hawk. Read it many times and always cried.
Yeah the tv show makes hawk much more sympathetic. And Tim more flawed.

Interesting interview. I don't necessarily agree with some of their points but it's interesting to hear. Roy Cohn was a monster.
