Wow my country has changed so much. Back in the 80's and 90's you would've thought you were in Jamaica also many, many people used to speak English around ghe city due to the US Army presence and also all the west Indian descents, also in the professional anviorenmt English was very well spoken. I noticed that there is a huge presence of Colombians and Venezuelan that have changed our culture a lot. I feel now like my country is more like South America, before it was like a carribean island feeling.
So glad I found your blog. Visiting there in August (from Jamaica) and just booked Global Hotel for part of my stay. I’m so excited! I also am afraid to solo travel so I hope you will post more solo travel videos to inspire me.
Hi Neekie, thank you! I'm sure you'll have a blast 😆. I'll definitely be posting more solo travel vlogs. Once you do this trip you will feel like taking on the world solo, lol. It's quite liberating and will certainly give you a confidence boost as it regards traveling solo. Enjoy every moment and tell me about it when you get back!😁
I love your video it is very informative my husband and I are planning to go to Panama City Panama December 27 we are looking very forward to going there thanks for your video it gave us a lot of great tips
Hi, if you are planning your trip to Panamá please find a tourist guide at least the first 2 days. They usually know the best spots and most are bilingual black people. They provide the service independently because most of these 5 star hotels don't pay well. Some have vehicles and can take you wherever you want to go. Do not travel alone, specially if you don't know the language. ❤ Enjoy your stay in Panamá 🇵🇦 Un abrazo 🤗 hugs.
Just returned from my trip at riu plaza 3 days ago and honestly I would go back in a heart beat. I miss this place & watching your blog makes me miss being there even more 😢 😭 😪 . Those fried or baked cornmeal cakes with cheese were my absolute favorite at breakfast time. Omg
@@wecollie It's not a all inclusive hotel. It's breakfast inclusive and to be honest the breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. Food like dinner etc can be purchased at the hotel which honestly I didn't find it expensive or u can always order food from elsewhere there are soooo many restaurants close by. I don't think there's any all inclusive in city though🤔. Hope this helps 🙂
You're welcome Raymond. Ensure you get a sim card upon arrival. Download the Uber app before you go as u may have issues if you do it there. Also the Uber and yellow cabs are cheaper than the private cabs👍🏽
Hi ZC, you're most welcome! I enjoyed Riu Plaza more especially because breakfast was included. I hope you enjoy your stay there! Which hotel will you be staying? Please let us know if you'd like us to plan your trip. You can send us a dm on instagram or call/watsapp.
I will be going there in December. I find this video interested especially with the Spanish. I will just take your recommendation and get a translated. I will be at Riu plaza Panama Thank you
Nice video, honey. But I honestly believe that if you go to their country, you should speak their language and don't expect them to speak yours. I really enjoyed your vlog. Cheers!
@@guillermogouldburn763 I appreciate your comment. However I just wanted to place emphasis on what to expect for persons planning to visit. Truth is, I took that part for granted and wasn't truly prepared for it, however I want others to be.👍🏽🙂
It was intentional and a personal choice. Alot of my clients fly from KIN so I wanted to experience the process there so I can assist them even better.
Hi there, what was the cost of the taxi to the multiplaza mall pls? We are thinking of staying at RIU and wanted to travel to the mall for food options. Thanks in advance! Also, is taking the metro bus an option?
@@mayantravels8946 thank you so much! Do you pay per person for taxi or Uber? Or it it on cost? As well as how did you get to the metro station from RIU to Albrook Mall?
@@journeywithkay26 no problem! I walked from Riu to the Metro station, it's a 10 mins walk down the road. You can ask for directions. The taxis charge one rate for everyone, usually covers 1-4 persons. I suggest you agree on a rate before driving. Hope you have fun!
@@mayantravels8946Hi again, my travels are getting closer and I was just checking…is it ok to checkin baggage? I’ve been hearing persons advising against same, but I need to checkin based on the length of my stay plus shopping. Also do you know if you can pay for luggage at airport? I didn’t pay for same when booking. Thanks in advance for your help 😊
You absolutely can, it's a buffet. I am not sure if they will allow you to take the plates to the room though but room service is available at an extra cost.
Sadly, that these hotels in Panama don’t seek to reclute bilingual staff members. We do have a lot oF English speaking black folks in PANAMA….THE DISSERVICE TO THE TOURISM INDUSTRY IS VERY EVIDENT; SADLY ENOUGH.
Wow that's certainly a displeasure indeed considering it's climbing it's way up on the list of vacation choices among the English speaking caribbean and African Americans in general. Very sad that they haven't prioritized the need to employ more persons who speaks English. Thank you for your comment. 🙂

Hi Brittney, the bus takes you to New Kingston then you take the connect (another Knutsford bus) to the airport. Both has to be booked separately 👍🏽

Hello, there are taxis outside the airport that you can use.

My advise to all travelers, don’t expect for people of a different country from yours, to speak your language, Lear the basics or have a translator.
