HA. You CAN'T cost me any more money. I already bought everything I could from these guys. Bring it on! Thanks, Ricky. Yet another great game from Chip Theory Games....as if Hoplomachus wasn't enough!
Once again, the effort you have put in to re-shoot these videos is appreciated! I think a lot of channels would not put forth that kind of effort. Thanks!
I think the 5 pt Baddie that comes in with Golden Golem goes to top of BQ I think. Great videos, been watching them all day (for this and Cosmic Frog!). Love Too Many Bones, glad I found your channel
This is actually very thematic because a golem is a mechanical construct that is controlled by someone. So in this case Nugget has control of it. Great balancing act to knock as many points off all baddies.
Really great work making sure to get everything correct for this video. Hope shooting all the extra hasn't been too frustrating. I am really enjoying this game.
Ricky, I really appreciate the effort you have put into these playthroughs. I like the way you discuss alternative actions; just seeing the game in action is great. I suspect it would be too much effort on your part to solo even more characters, but it would be so neat if you could. Heh. I was expecting advancement to part 6, but this one gives me a lot more hope for when I get the game.
Thanks for the TMB series (have been watching them like I would watch Netflix episodes - what will happen next?!) The encounter with the Golem fighting on your side seems a bit weird. Meaning it doesn’t seem to go with the rest of the otherwise tight, streamlined and intuitive rules. We are deciding how many dice to break, whether to apply defense die or not, also the baddie the Golem summons is fighting the Golem itself?! We seem to be making stuff up as we go along! (I know CTG guys have blessed this version of encounter) This encounter took away the otherwise nice, warm feeling I was getting watching the entire play through - you know when things make sense and you are able to follow along.
Yes, the Golem is at your mercy. The aim of the encounter is to give you 3 rounds to try to beat up the baddies before you have to face them. So it's to give you some variety working with positional play.
Ricky Royal Thank you Ricky. The more I see the game the more I want it to arrive home! One question, is the chip tray you are using for badies and health one of the components of the game or you bought it somewhere else?
Ricky, :) Just wondering, are you sure you can attack the Kobold with the Golem? Seems like because of the Golem's ability any additional added baddies are fighting with him as an ally, or did you get clarification from CTG that all and any baddies added are attack targets for the Golem? (God knows I'd hate to see you have to redo the video again, lol)
That's how I played it in the first version I posted.. but yes, CTG advised that added baddies join from the BQ side and play against the Golem for the first 3 rounds.
I suspect Ricky feels like he's done about 108 versions of this. And I have watched all of them, but still want even more - like one for each of the gearlocs! I'm thankful that Ricky has done all that he has, but Ricky has sure influenced my spending!
The more clarification you get about this event the less I like it. Making every single ability on the Golem optional seems to have swung it the other direction and made it trivial. This was probably an easier battle then if you had taken the first option and had to fight a 5 point golem on your own with it at full strength.
Good points Trent. It was actually MORE fun to play this way, as it felt like there were lots of options and things to think about. The CTG guys told me this was one solo event that was meant to be easy hence a shock when they saw my first efforts (!) It was fun, but yes, the challenge was vastly reduced.
Ah well it makes me feel better that this event is working out as intended rather then being poorly balanced (which would have been rather uncharacteristic of CTG). Although it's funny that not only did you have to record the fight for the 3rd or 4th time you also had to split it into a second video :p
i'm pretty sure i'll be referencing these videos quite a bit once i get this beast of a game to the table... so the re-shoots and hard work are appreciated.
Ricky, there was another mistake in the previous video: you didn't add +1 wound from Lucky skill when you attacked the golem for the first time, so not only you didn't cheat, you actually made that fight harder for yourself.

I just spent a pile of money getting much of the too many bones stuff. Your video is super useful. Thank you.
hope you enjoy the game !
@@BoxofDelights Im certain I will! Ty.
THE NEW STUFF STARTS AT 07:30

Thanks Bruce ! Part 6 is done... you should see it soon, perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks for watching! The Golem encounter was a bit fiddly... perhaps with more practice it will get more fluid. Happy gaming!
At least I was partially right in assuming the kobold wasn't allied with the golem in the first video :P
Part 5; 3rd time?
try try try again...
Is that version of the fight the good one? Can you play as the golem as he was dumb?
Yes, the Golem is at your mercy. The aim of the encounter is to give you 3 rounds to try to beat up the baddies before you have to face them. So it's to give you some variety working with positional play.

bought somewhere else. Amazon.
Ok, thank you! ^^
Chip Theory Game TMB (and Hoplo) Chip Tray is in development.

Day 6 is short.. I wanted to add the end of Day 5 onto it to make the video longer ;)
i'm pretty sure i'll be referencing these videos quite a bit once i get this beast of a game to the table... so the re-shoots and hard work are appreciated.
That's the joy of the game, I'm guessing that it can be as fun or as frustrating as you want it to be.
Does longblade really need a slingshot? I read nothing about being adjecient.
No, but a regular attack die will need a slingshot.
Nice. :-)

did i roll any bones? remember, Lucky only works when you don't roll bones
