Raidu Skateboards aren't for cruising. They're for tricks and showing off. If you just like cruising around, having fun going places, then I'd suggest a longboard instead.

Tom Yeatman If Dorset's the type of place that you'd actually have to search for decent roads to skate then fuck yes aha. Pretty much all of NY we saw had the smoothest roads and pavements, One push and you're gone mate lol
We need to spend less on NHS and healthcare and more on nice smooth roads everywhere! (would be a bit of an issue if we bail and break something though...ahaha)
Great video Kevin. At 54 I alternate between a regular popsicle board, longboard, YOW surfskate and 22 inch Penny. Only use the Penny for short trips around the neighbourhood. Zippy and fun but I certainly have to focus on my footwork when using the Penny. Thinking of adding Orangutang 65mm wheels just to add a bit more stability.

KSGguy for beginners just glide one foot on the ground but get used to it on smaller hills than when you get better you can learn how you skid your board to slow down. *Ps eating shit is part of the process and get comfortable with it cause it happens to the best of us xD

I have a landyachtz tugboat and it is good for all worlds, cruising, some tricks and just hanging out and having a good time. Penny boards are good but limited in what you an do. But penny boards you can take everywhere so ill let you choose which one is better

How do I stop if I'm going downhill?
It wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in some sliding gloves and learn to slide that could help but if not aim for grass and pray
use one of your foot and touch the ground and press the back part of the board as fast as possible
