    Mental stack is so crazy that you can forget you've won the first set in ranked

    The talk about "don't be in the corner" reminds me of that Mr. Miyagi quote:
    Best defense, no be there

    Thank you for this. SF6 is my first SF and it’s been a pain trying to climb. I’ve been beating myself up because I always be getting hit by DI’s when people just spam it at my rank. I will work on my mental stack and optimize. Thank you BrianF and Rob.❤

      And once u learn how to counter it u'll be happy when spam DI. They're just giving u free damage lol

      It happens to all of us, I'm a Master player, was climbing with Guile today and lost cause I didn't reacted in time to a DI in the corner

    Now you can look for parry and just after parry there is about a three fame window where you can’t drive impact and you can get a free DI if your opponent is in the corner.

  • @MegaTheJohny

    I totally agree about parry being very solid against everything, and u just use parry for the most, cuz you have less option to worry about

    • @riffcrypt8438
      @riffcrypt8438 Год назад

      Rely on parry you're getting grabbed. parry one more time and you're getting DI'd. There is no correct option in this game. The best real course of action is to do literally nothing and wait for the opponent to commit.

    God this was me today i just could not seem to react to any jump ins and was messing up all my punish oppertunities. I started playing as cammy a week ago after only playing manon for 2 months since the game released. After my placements i was put in plat 3 (which is a lot higher than i would have liked) and trying to contend with learning a new character and frequently forgetting which buttons to press (and still my muscle memory reverts to manon combos sometimes) was a total overload.

    Starting with Cody in SFV and 4 different characters in SF6 has given me the insight that I might have ADHD lol. It's pretty infuriating how bad I still am after how much time I've put in and my inability to have thoughts/calculations/reactions during a match. I love fighting games so much but I am SO horrible with execution and implementing anything I learn in game that its starting to get fishy like something is or isn't happening that should or shouldn't be.

      @@philipmcgrath1505 I hyper fixate on what happened 3 seconds prior and my body can't help but reacting with the thought of what I should've done a few seconds ago and no matter how hard I try I cannot shake it. I actually get worse and worse as the weeks go by and me and all my friends all started at the same time I practice/study quite a bit more than them and they are pulling of things I can only dream of doing. Honestly not looking for validation at this point I know sometimes up and I'm just probably put a couple hundred into getting evaluated by a professional, I just literally want to feel the accomplishment of succeeding at literally anything in my life. For the past actual 13 years that has felt completely impossible and I'm tired of it.

    Excessive mental stack royally screws up how enjoyable SF6 is. Chose 1, short play session where you never really are warmed up enough, or long play session where you "warmed up" but you're now mentally exhausted and will probably go full tilt after eating a DI in neutral. All they had to do was have some restraint in designing the game but they went with the full overstuffed XL edition. "Oops all mechanics."

      This is on you not the game, but your awareness is step 1 in making it more enjoyable.
      What you can do is not take it serious when other warming up, and when you’re playing a long set, I take water breaks and time off between each game instead of mindlessly playing sets.
