I Bought a CHR 2017 after selling my premio 2016, I regreted with comfort and performance and space too. I don't recommend this vehicle to anyone, rear pax will get claustrophobia if they do a long drive, engine is underpowered with 1200cc although it's turbocharged, I had a headache selling it cos of the low second hand market, managed to sell it for a very low price, and bought a KIA sorento 2014, 7seater, very happy with the vehicle, performance, comfort, space all excellent. Please do a review on it as well, cos Sri Lankan people are still not comfortable with KIA, but as a continuous Toyota user, I must tell you its impressive. I also used a toyota premio 2013 car and sold it because of high market price for 6.75 million and not for any issue its a best car with comfort and relaibility.Then I decided to move to a suv or mini suv that in similar price range of premio.Normally I am buying japanese cars but I abe to heard about kia sorento and I start to find about sorento and I am happy to say I herd lots of good about it and good second hand market ( if the vehicle in good condition ).Finally I bought a kia sorento( diesel ) 7 seater full option for 7.2 million.I my opinion its a good option to have suv feel on low budget and its very comfortable . As a owner of japanese cars previously I can say that sorento has a good built quality as japanese cars.I have experience 15km/l in high way.I can recommend kia sorento to any one.There aren't any problems if we do services on time.@mrj Please can u do a review on sorento as a help to who willing to buy it because there aren't any sinhala reviews about sorento . You have said the truth. Its engine is underpowered. Rear space is cramped. If you pull the front seat to rearside passengers in rear have poor leg space. No vision for rear passengers. Boot space not enough. Cant see from rear window. Fuel is 7-8 colombo running. It is not a practical car for use. Is that worth 8-9m these days???. Allion premio is a better buy than this.

@@KS-iu7ig I think performance wise premio is better, it's more economical than CHR. CHR is a all wheel drive vehicle, so naturally it's not economical it does 8 to 9 km a liter in traffic. Pick up wise also I think premio is ahead than CHR bcos of the 1500cc vvti engine. Premio has a better engine than CHR.

Lots of useful information. One correction of the engine displacement. Actual displacement of 8nr-fts engine is 1195.9cc not 1000cc
It has the bore 71.5mm and stroke 74.5mm.
V = 3.14 × (B ÷ 2)2 × S
V = 3.14 x (71.5/2)2 x 74.5)/1000 ~ 298.9 cc
Since you have 4 cylinders = V x 4 = 298.9 x 4 ~ 1195.9
Added power by turbo is outside these numbers

Riding in the rear will be claustrophobic for kids and short people, not for a guy of your height :) But for families with kids, less practical. Ground clearance is actually an issue more than you say in practice due to the lower front lip. Good vehicle for bachelors or young couples and doesn't have the typical boring Toyotaness.

bmw 520 much better. But it is a sedan and has good fuel economy. But shall be maintained in a professional place with genuine parts. 2nd hand, 520 haa good market as well and sall keep those maintenance records. Chr also has lower second hand market. Chr is a crossover and 520 is a sedan. If u drive both u can select one. If i am to select , i go to bmw. This will be very person choice
