Our pastor painted a beautiful picture of a verse in Psalm and it relates so beautifully... The tree that is watered by the stream... It produces fruit, yes... however, that fruit was never meant for the tree's consumption, but for the consumption of others. I have been trying to keep this in my mind when I take the time to have my bible time. How I can not only use it to grow in my own walk, but allow that fruit to be passed on intentionally to my children. Thank you for your video!
As usual, there’s tons of wisdom in this video. In particular I liked the warning not to dwell on the future when the present season is hard. Because the days are long but the years are SO short! And it hits home the most when your kids enter high school.
Thank you for bringing it from a biblical perspective. You are absolutely right about being content in the season of motherhood that a person might be currently in. Also for the longest I kept being frustrated because to a lot of times what is considered self-care I simply couldn't do; but I realized that as long as I can read the Bible, even if its a scripture I written down on a index card, that will sustain me much more than having time away from the house. I think a lot of times as Christians we forget that we must live by the Spirit and not our flesh....so as long as we can keep feeding our spirit the flesh will have to submit.
Finding balance is hard. Especially for me. My husband travels and works a lot, so I'm basically solo with the kids. Finding time for self care is not always easy. Yet I know we have to be content in every season of life we are In. Good tips mama
Girl, you nailed it! Self care should always be pushing you to do your job better! And Jesus is more than capable and willing to sustain us in every area. We have to stop taking the world’s ideas and trying to morph them into a scriptural principle. Christ is enough!!
Momma on Mission thanks I’m so thankful that God is enough because there have been many dry seasons in my life when it comes to “me time” and traditional self care so I’m thankful He is all we need.
Being a good steward of our bodies really does matter. When we take care of our bodies, we have more energy to give to others. But yes, if you take everything away except for Christ, we will be okay. There are times that we might not feel refreshed, but we can ask the Holy Spirit to fill us up and give us the grace we need to continue our daily tasks.

Yes! Good perspective about seasons of motherhood equalling seasons of self-care. Thank you! ❤

They really are so short even when it does not feel this way.
Absolutely. Self care is not always selfish ♥️

Exactly.
Only thing is I don't have a lot of friends to hand out 😅 but I'm an introvert so a nap sounds good.
Naps are great too!!!
