Being a logger & road builder in Oregon, I Love That Shirt!! Ohhh gonna get a few of them 👍👍👍your family rocks the wood industry! Much Love to you in the East from us PNW loggers here! Keep up the honesty and hard work💯😁
I have been watching a few other milling channels and let me tell you nothing comes even close to the camera work, presentation and all-around class of this channel!
You and Jade are certainly unique Em. I don't think there's anyone else in America that can compare. Every video is a marvel of you two showing your ingenuity, cooperation and maturity on the job.
Great video, like the explanation concerning extra length and straightness of log required for producing long beams. My experience with cant hooks has led to pushing away instead of pulling in case the hook slips off and whacks me. Enjoy watching.
Wow, that is massive! Have you ever milled any Spruce logs? The highest grade of Spruce is prized for building musical instruments, otherwise it is mostly used as interior dimensional lumber. I am looking to "clear-cut" about an acre or estimated 30k board feet. These are 65 year old "Christmas Trees". I helped plant them back in the mid 60's. Time goes fast Emerald. Your doing a great job and you and Jade are an encouragement to all those endeavoring to succeed in life if you were wondering.
I’m not sure it’s millable on a small band mill, I’d like to know if they have a way because everyone I’ve talked to won’t cut it, I tried to cut some myself and the blades walk all over. I think it’s the high density of the knots and low density surrounding wood that causes the issues. I’ve also had trouble with it breaking as it dries but I know it has to have its uses! I have about half a dozen more spruce logs and I’m torn on what to do with them
I bet you two would beat-up each other when you were kid's. Now, you work together like gears in a watch. Bravo-Zulu as we use to say, and have a good day!
You guys are so refreshing to look at, women who work, capable, friendly, knowledgeable. It's such a joy to see this generation get themselves skilled and productive, work with family can be a challenge. You guys sure rock, you are an example to so many.
Hi Ken👋 Your girls are having a tough time turning that log. Gonna have to get some bacon on that grill. 😅 Love the LT15. My son is working about 5 miles from your yard. I hope he stops by sometime to say hello. 👋
Hi Emerald Ernie from Niagara Falls. Thank you for providing us with such informative videos of your lumber mill business. You and Jade are amazing at cutting all types and sizes of logs into finished lumber. Love your videos.
I can't say I'm happy about the long hair, leaning over that machine. I know you've done it for years, but the day it goes bad is a day you'll not forget.
Wow God bless America !! These two hard working girls are what demonstrates the old school work ethic !! Awesome job girls im a fan keep up the great work 🙂
This is a bizarrely high level of production; very cinematic for such a genre. Kudos on the camera work, audio and editing. I'm just bummed I can't find better lumber around where I live... not that any of my carpentry is worthy of it yet.
Emerald, love watching you and Jade work together. It's like you both know what the other is thinking and going to do without communicating. And the way you both move so smoothly. You are both sure enough eye candy as well as teaching how the cutting is done.
lovely! it is fun milling long logs isn't it. i worked at a mill for 30 year. just me and the boss. we once sawed out a 27 foot oak 8x8. that was a challenge. old school circular saw. i hope you continue to enjoy milling. i sure do miss it. best job i ever had.
First time viewing this... wonderful to see women do this sort of work - and do it fantastically well. Great inspiration for women all over the world... These sorts of careers need more ladies.
Hey y'all, that was just outstanding to watch. I like watching sisters working together on videos. You are the 2nd set of sisters Ive watched. But your videos are on another level. But being able to watch 2 beautiful young ladies womanhandle those logs and explaining the dynamics of milling logs is pretty cool in my book. I like your families whole operation and they are all on the ball. You both sure know how to a mill, thats for sure! I only have one concern and that is y'all's beautiful long hair. I have seen people get their hair in equipment. I once caught my long hair in a high speed oil pump I was testing. It can happen very fast. So please, think about it and consider y'all's options. Im sure a few others have mentioned this to y'all. You are both very nice hard working young ladies and we don't want anything to happen to either of you. Otherwise, things look great and thanks for the enjoyment. Take care now and God bless.
I would have to say, long flowing hair is very appealing, but is it the safest thing to have it flowing around open working machinery like that? Simply asking from a safety perspective. Great video as always
I was thinking the same thing. I get it. RUclips eye candy gets clicks, but their attire and dangling hair is an accident waiting to happen on that LT.
So nice to see two capable young ladies get the job done.
So sexy yto see them now needing help
Working hard to please the customer is a rare thing these days. Thank you for running your business that way.
it's not that rare, actually.
Amazing job young hardworking young ladies, Keep the great videos coming...

Thank you ladies for your hard work and explaining about the tree

Always a joy to watch two industrious and gorgeous young ladies. I can almost smell the sawdust!
Mom and Dad raised you gals right.
Excellent job.

Great video, like the explanation concerning extra length and straightness of log required for producing long beams. My experience with cant hooks has led to pushing away instead of pulling in case the hook slips off and whacks me. Enjoy watching.

The plural of kid is kids, not kid’s which is possessive.😉
@@thierrytalon8600 You are kidding me, right?!. I would rather be "possessive" than "anal" like some people around here.
Got to hand it to you two: you really know how to run a mill.
Good information and great examples
Y'all are absolutely gorgeous. And your work is amazing. A fantastic family!
Great video. Most don't understand the detail involved in processing logs, especially to customer requests. Thanks!
You girls are awesome your parents must be proud 👏 😊
Wow the summer weather there is really nice…. thanks for your video I love it, and to hear you and seeing you is just wonderful 🌹❤️
Most guys would love your depth of knowledge

Team work makes the dream work ,missed a few videos I’ll get caught up on ,great work ethic’s instilled in this family
Good job Emerald!
I'm impressed with the array of safety equipment you gals use.
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed! Cringe!!!
Roughly the equivalent of a chain mail bikini. I mean, I totally get why they're doing it, but it's still an accident waiting to happen.
They don’t work there it’s just for likes , no gloves long hair no glasses cringe
And in shorts all the time, really!!!
Hi from the uk that looks some very hard work turning it round but no mach for you 2 be safe 👍
Hi Emerald Ernie from Niagara Falls. Thank you for providing us with such informative videos of your lumber mill business. You and Jade are amazing at cutting all types and sizes of logs into finished lumber. Love your videos.
I'm not a woodworker. I just enjoy watching her videos!
Love the work you do and letting the world know.
I can't say I'm happy about the long hair, leaning over that machine. I know you've done it for years, but the day it goes bad is a day you'll not forget.

Interesting process, your end product came out smoother than I anticipated, one thing: Long hair and machinery don't mix but I'm sure you know this..
This is a bizarrely high level of production; very cinematic for such a genre. Kudos on the camera work, audio and editing. I'm just bummed I can't find better lumber around where I live... not that any of my carpentry is worthy of it yet.
Hard work, great job on that log!
