Nice vid! I love how you present different techniques and show the small details. Very nice! Where did you learn the term "Cowboy Cut?" I've been doing that for years and haven't ever had a name for it. For the "Granny Twill," that's actually just red tackle twill with a running stitch embroidered on it to give it a look to almost appear embroidered. It's a stitching effect as opposed to an actual fabric.
Great video. Would love a video looking at different types of crests on jerseys e.g. for football/soccer jerseys: embroidered, woven, and TPU, silicone which are used on more modern and ‘authentic’ version jerseys
Excellent idea! I think I have one comparing fab version vs player version for soccer that shows that. A one covering all sports actually would be pretty cool. I'll do my best to make it happen. Thanks for watching!
I have never heard of cowboy cut or speckle twill before. The Blues also used vinyl trim on the set they wore before the mid '90s too. Even the new alternate (which is now what they wear full time) had it in 1998 until they finally got rid of it the next year. I have no idea why they hung onto it for so long. Great video. Thanks for detailing all the different types of customization.
Great video buddy wanted to ask you a question if you knew the name of the same type of process they use for tackle twill where they have the sticker on the back of the tackle twill I'm in the textile business and I received from Russell sportswear when they shut down their warehouse they have a cotton version of it where it's a t-shirt fabric by any chance you know what they would call that with the sticker on it they come in layers with a sticker on the back looking for the trade name or what they call it I want to advertise it but I don't know the right terminology
Great video, thank you for the content! Do you have any insight on suppliers or customizers for the dazzle twill? I’ve asked around and it seems like this material is fairly unique. I have an authentic basketball jersey that uses sublimated dazzle twill for the numbers and player name that I would like re-customized but I haven’t had any luck with finding a place to match the material. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! So two options, 1. Contact customizesports.com They can sublimate dazzle twill and cut it in to the kit for you. 2. Do a search on eBay or Google for "dazzle sports material" and a few options should Pop up. You can then send the material to whoever you want to do the kits with.
Excellent question. you can have it heat pressed on without having to stitch it. If you want extra reinforcement, you got to take it to a place who does zig zag stitching. I use CSL for my customization
Are the new Nike Vapor Limited MLB jersey numbers tackle twill or vinyl? It doesn't have much texture on the numbers like traditional tackle twill so I'm confused.
@@jersey_jaguar Thank you - you are the man! I got an Ohtani jersey to get autographed tomorrow when I go see him. I tried looking everywhere for the Elite jersey but no luck. I think they only sell it at the stadium for $575 but haven't been there this year yet. Do you think DecoColor Silver (broad or fine) will be good for signing on these numbers?
GREAT video, your best yet. Learned a ton from this one!
Thanks Steve! I appreciate the kind words!
Wish I can give this video 10 likes, it’s definitely the most detailed video on RUclips when it comes to jersey materials and twill
Much appreciated 👑🦁. Looking forward to a future Collab!
Great Video 👍

Much appreciated and thanks for watching. I remember those vinyl kits and crests. Almost every single one I seen had the vinyl peeling off
@@jersey_jaguar Yup, I don't know why they kept wearing it for so long. I don't think any other teams wore it.

@@EEZYEEEE they are poorly sublimated tackle twill. The quality is extremely cheap so you have to be careful when you wash them
