The Ray Donovan movie was one of the best endings to a series I've seen in a long time. It was done so so well where the story came full circle while giving us a prequel and closure all at the same time. I was extremely impressed with the movie. Well done! Very very well done!
I lost it during the last 10 minutes. Best ending of any show I've watched. This show never got the credit it deserved, it was right up there with Breaking Bad in my book.
I love how it felt like just another episode, just longer.
Even though they had plans for a final season, I feel like they wrapped things up beautifully with the movie.
In the end, it was always about Ray and Mickey, full circle.
Ray Donovan probably isn't in my top 10 shows, but it's still really special and Ray is one of the greatest characters in TV.
These comments make me even more excited to see the movie. I watched the show a few years ago up to the 4th season, but stopped there. I just started watching it again from the beginning a week ago and I'm right up to the part I left off on the last time I watched it; the middle of the 4th season. Ray and Mickey got the $4MM from the casino, and Primm just took it back from them...
I'm looking forward to the next 2 and a half season that I haven't seen yet, and the movie when that's over. It really is up there with the other best shows I've seen... Sopranos, The Wire, Ozark...
You may have that wrong - they are supposed to do a full feature movie for the theaters that picks up at the end of Season 7, they were working on it and then Covid hit, and then they were supposed to pick it back up in 2022. The movie is supposed to be Ray actually finally going after Mickey to find him and kill him because he caused the death of Bridget's husband and that devastated her, and that Ray wants to stop Mickey because everybody that Mickey cons into his world their lives get destroyed.
He narrates the best history stuff! Best voice!
His HBO: Road to the Winter Classics, is awesome!

Saw him speak at Yale about 20 years ago about playing Shakespeare roles. He’s amazing.
He's the most gentle, sweet, shy person who plays such an extraordinarily complex, gritty and well rounded characters. They all have stories, full histories, loyalty for family above all else and it's so well written.
Such a great actor and show. Loved the entire cast and the film does it justice. A great finish

He was great, way off his usual character type in "Taking Woodstock" Really good film and really good performance by Liev.

I fell for Liev in the CSI trilogy in 2007 when he played Michael Keppler. No one could better fit a black suit and white shirt. I could not take my 👀 off him. Swooooon.

Ray donovan the movie was fantastic . A must see tv . Everyone that loves this show will be satisfied with the ending if only they could have done the dexter morgan right. Ray didn't need a whole season, but dexter needed 12 Episodes to finish the best way .

I could watch Liev watching paint dry and be perfectly content. Binge watching Ray after missing it the 1st go round, (and in prep for the movie) I have fallen for not only Ray the character, but Liev, the real person. If my spouse only knew how many times I have paused an episode just to admire him.. He epitomizes the term 'tall, dark and handsome.' His true acting talent and intellect has me even more taken with him. I cannot think of one thing that I do not like about this man. He deserves every bit of his wealth and fame-and then some! I secretly call him my Little Wolverine - ha! Love you Liev!

first of all, much like Kerry Washington in 'Scandal', I am completely mystified as to why neither has won one of the MAJOR awards for their respective shows. Thats got to be a crime, in light of how many goofballs are winning BIG awards for half ass performances on half ass shows. By the end of the 3rd season, I was thoroughly convinced that Ray Donovan was right there with the greatest tv shows to ever air (The Sopranos, The West Wing, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men). As great an actor as Screiber has become, 'Donovan' was his best work, by far.

He was -perfect- in Goon. Back when I cared what happened on Game of Thrones he was my pick for Mance Rayder, for whatever that's worth.

Thought RayDonovan ok, Liev Schreiber, yeah I know that guy. Then I watched episode after episode. Really good series. Jon Voight killed it. He had the best role of the Donovans...and the saddest part.
I remember meeting Liev back in 09 at the intrepid museum in New York City. He was there with his 2 kids. Very nice guy!

Boston accent aside, his voice is so much higher and less brooding than in the show. Absolutely brilliant actor and show.
Ray Donovan was ok. It tried to be a Sopranos knock off. It had some good characters like Terry. It became a little silly when his daughter and boyfriend beheading and burying people and such. The movie was average but they had to wrap it up.

Colbert is yet another one of the most entitled spoiled brat celebrity who is chosen for his ancient ancestral bloodlines going back to King John of the Magna Carta. Just like Alec Baldwin. Liev never exploits his blue blood lineage to Robert The Bruce to make a complete ass of himself.

1:15 Now, that's what I call a digging. He knew Colbert was fishing. Background information: both were from Paramount. Ray Donovan was cancelled by Paramount suddenly in Feb 2020. And no doubt Paramount executives were putting him on Colbert to humiliate him.

Yeah was awful especially the son he had no story lines at all. Terrible. They didn't know what to do with him. No depth as an actor. I think they knew the daughter was the better actor so gave her more stories even though her stories weren't great either.
