      Mike Duffy was about $90,000 in inappropriate expenses that was paid back not by Mike Duffy but by someone in the PMO fro his own private money. Bev Oda was about a $16 glass of orange juice. This is about a charity giving a federal minister trips worth $41 K and the minister giving contracts to the charity.

    In these circumstances, in Britain, in Australia and in New Zealand, and even in countries with comparatively young parliamentary systems, like South Africa, Morneau would have felt compelled to resign or he would have been removed from office by the Prime Minister, or, when the Prime Minister himself is suspect, by parliament itself.

    I would love to see criminal charges, just like any other Canadian citizen would face. In my opinion government officials should actually be held to higher and tougher standards than the average citizen.
