hI the main reason to run it through a dryer is to get hydrogen and oxygen with out moisture. as with moisture it turns the hydrogen back to its natrual state water. loosing 5 to 10 percent gas. Years ago i used to run water injection on high perfomance cars so yes you are right in what you are saying.

and i still think more people should try hooking a stirling engine to the cooling system to drive a generator from the engines enormous store of waste heat, instead of driving the hho cell from an alternator which loads the engine... if you can turn a stirling with the heat from a cup of tea, a cars radiator should kick out enough to turn a pretty hefty dynamo.... just a thought... shame there´s no good stirlings on the market...

why do you want to dry the gas?apparently, in the war, pilots noticed that their engines were more powerful when flying through clouds. this is because the small water droplets entering with the air absorb some of the waste heat in the cylinder and expand into steam, adding power to the piston, power that would normally be lost through the cooling system or exhaust. seems to me that we should all be pumping water into our engines... and hho of course...
