I like how the video shows how the Tri Beam evolved over Tien's career. Especially how he focused it on his target. He is the only human character who continually got stronger as the series went on. Krillin was a close second but he need multiple power-ups...and even then he made no dent in the stronger enemies. Tien trained constantly and was able the only human to hold off Cell. AND is the only human who actually landed an attack on Buu AFTER Buu upgraded several times.
Thank you! This is my old RUclips channel and I was revisiting some of my old videos and saw people are still watching this from time to time, haha. This is still my favourite tribute video I made back in the day. The music really needed to reflect how hard Tien goes when he goes in a fight so I'm glad you think so
tien is human, his third eye is a chakra point from which power can be derived, according to some Chinese philosophies. It is also where the third eye that supposedly all beings have resides.Through training and meditation,Tien has managed to make that third eye manifest itself physically.
The most awesome part of this video to me is seeing how Tien's tribeam technique progressed and improved over the years. In this video we see his first one ever and then the subsequent ones. Each time it improved from the actual technique to the channeling of the energy to the focusing on the target. Tien out of all the characters has made the most improvements when factoring in that he is a Human.
Thats because the show stopped focusing on fighting technique and became obsessed with power levels. Of course Tien as a Human can't keep up with a Saiyan since they decided to make Saiyans all-powerful. But if they stayed focused on fighting skill, then Tien would have been a rival to Goku.
+darkraven220 Agree. I always hoped they would decide to give the humans some new "magic" training that would allow them to go over their limit (basically, the same that happened in DB first series and the begin of DBZ) but indeed they ended up in focussing in the always increasing and infinite power of the alien race the Sayan and discarded a lot of stuff related to spiritual techniques and martial arts in favour of a never ending brute power escalation. I would love seeing Tien (as well as the other Earth folks) being a tough badass like he was in the first series of DB, when he was strong enough to confront Goku! Let's hope something new will happen in DragonBall Super ! :)
Tien was the only human fighter not to cower from the likes of Vegeta cell or Buu. he faced those motherfuckers head on. truly a man to model your principles after.
Love that my two favorite supporting characters in all of Dragonball are fighting in a tournament. Tien and Future Trunks deserved so much more face time in all three series.
The problem with Tien is he had a one handed side to his energy attacks,he could usean enormous amount of energy at once but he couldn't absorb it from the environment the way Goku did with the Spirit bomb. He would have been unstoppable if he'd been able to somehow match his power output, which was literally killed him one fight, with his input.
I think tien is the shit! even more devoted to training and becoming stronger then goku then vegeta was and at least he had the balls to try to fight Super Buu unlike Piccolo who was freaking out
Piccolo was a Namek and therefore inherently more powerful than humans. Yet he was reluctant to fight. The difference was that Tien never feared anyone or anything. And he always stepped in right at the critical times...against Cell and again with Buu.
Anyway he's not Human. This is a common mistake. Kishimoto says he's a human in the manga and even in the anime, but in the Daizenshuu is mentioned that he's a descendant of an alien race: "the 3-eye alien race" But he's my fav char too, cause he'll never fucking give up. TRUE WILL, TRUE MAN.
Krillin had more potential since it is mentioned several times in DB that age affects their power. Krillin is significantly younger than Tien and with the extensive training and newer techniques, he could have surpassed Tien. However Tien devoted his entire life to training his mind and body and allowed no distractions with exception of Launch for a short period. Krillin got married, started a family and grew his hair back which was a sign that he no longer trained.
Tien is the strongest Z fighter after the Sayans and Piccolo. In the Boo saga Tien is maybe even stronger than Piccolo , which is in its own incredible. He was also the strongest human antagonist of Songoku and he had many better techniques than Songoku. It would be a blessing for dragonball if Tien becomes again relevant with a Tien saga. One idea is to make him an alien or an enlightening being . Whis could also train him. I would love to see the old antagonism between Goku and Tien alive again The same goes for Yamcha and Piccolo. It would ve goos if they become more relevant again.
@@Thisdude850 Don't be so quick to dismiss it. First off, Piccolo ain't shit. Off rip, dude is a tri-fusion. "Junior" is not "Senior". He's a rebirth that doesn't even look like his dad when young to begin with (nor is he much like him **a try hard when acting evil and talked like a fucking idiot**). He's himself, Nail and Kami. Don't give him too much credit there. The nanny stays getting handouts like welfare (even pity pats on the back about how he's totally the best dad **literally could have made a kid whenever, but raises his opp's child like a cuck just to have Vegeta surpass him in this role, too**). But you want to handwave the triclops in favor of the slug? Alright, what was our boy getting down with in Buu Saga? Being spit on, VORE'd and BTFO. Great. So, Tien. Big TEN(shinhan) never stopped training. Ever. Probably still amping the legacy of the grandmaster (teacher to Crane and Turtle). Still absurd how far he took an already over the top move (people give it shit despite how much he can spam this absurd version while praising Supa Saiya Jobber Tres for sapping the user in a minute while eating a day's life force in that same timeframe). What do we know about the lay of the land? Well, in Cell Saga Tien was just barely able to deck a Junior, but otherwise got beat up (shy of being knocked out where the other humans were decimated without anything to cope with **in canon**). Pickle wasn't really shown doing any better, but should still be stronger at the time. Nothing really implying he kept on his shit after all this (lazing about like a homeless bum with Dende). Gives up against Shin (who is afraid of a guy BASEgeta murdered **he was positive he could body Pickle Man without SS at this point**). SS Vegeta got tagged by an equal form present Trunks, which is interesting. He also scared 18 when holding back a shot sent her way. Why's she notable? She beats the Hell out of Krillin. He's nothing to her. He wasn't shit in the previous arc (where he did FUCK ALL) and he retired upon getting what he learned martial arts for in the first place. He might as well be another Yamcha. So 17 is out there and he's beyond his sister (as ever). Yet he dies to Super Buu's attack like the rest of humanity targeted for death. Except Chiaotzu lived, bitch. That's right. The little mime is superior to 17 at this point. He's way beyond fucking Chestnut. Historically? His sparring partner has been around double his power. The new Crane Grand Master would be quite a lot stronger than the next nearest full human by this point. The gaps really didn't need to be that severe (small things allow domination and the likes of 20% have seen no-selling and effortless one-shots). With how lame Sluggo became, why should one expect he got much further than Semi? That Tien isn't in the ballpark of the multi-merged delusional 'demon'? How do you justify just dismissing him so readily in relation to the Big Green Jobber (seriously, his fight record is atrocious **movies be trying to help Mean Green, but can only do so much**). Even in the saga prior we saw "Light Grenade". A move that did not a damn thing to Imperfect while the FAR weaker (at the time) Tenny unzipped to let out the big guns (Tri-Beamed the HELL out of Semi **big bad bug bout had his spots blown off and could only just keep getting shoved into the dirt against his will as the borgs skedaddled**). Just one blast was doing better than what the favorite of Pickle Packers had to offer. Should have stuck with SBC, frankly. That one has proven value. This was an awful showing. As if HZG weren't itself a bit of a joke when seriously considered (lots of cool factor without substance). At least it isn't "Masenko" (literally never a thing until Gohan made it up while crediting his groomer). That is actually (somehow) worse than Kamehameha (low tier and basic **GG is objectively just a better version of it**).
Agreed. Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, and Chaotsu got the shaft in this show because of the supposedly inherently stronger Saiyans. It really sucks. I dare say it's bad writing for a show like DBZ.
^ Pretty legit but untill the end of the Cell saga i would say Krillin and Tien were equal because Krillin did get his potential unlocked by Guru dont forget :P
Tien was always the strongest of the human fighters. He was so in Dragonball ( Where he could have KILLED Goku, if he had chosen to do so ) and he remained so through the entire show. I don't think the gap between Tien and Krillin was too big, until after the Saiyajin Saga. Not getting King Kai training probably screwed Krillin over big time. Not to mention that Krillin stopped training completely after the Buu Saga - While Tien continued to train until the end of the series.
GT doesnt count and it sucks! But yes, Tien is the strongest human.... but alot of people say that he isnt a human. after all he has a weird third eye xD...
I wish they made Tien a higher tier and give a moment of glory defeating a big gun in the end of DBZ. It all became a shitty Saiyan power up after power up after power up after the cyborgs saga. Kinda boring honestly. The thing that made the Saiyan Saga, Namek Saga, Cyborgs Saga was each fighter training to face the threat together and each one giving his all best to fight back.
goes so insanely hard
this goes unfathomably hard
Agreed!! It also shows enlightenment. Tien is a spiritually and mentally enlightened character.
Tien, the only non-saiyan to make the main villain think twice that he's not just another pretty face lol.
2nd most powerful z fighter after piccolo
@@jordanbasurto36 5th most powerful Z fighter after Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Piccolo
Oh he's a pretty face

Kick ass tribute. Cool as Hell song choice and editing. Strong work. 💪 💪

The music really needed to reflect how hard Tien goes when he goes in a fight so I'm glad you think so
0:04 how badass is tien he knows he can't win but he can try
Goes fucking HARD
it's nice to finally see a tribute not only to my favorite earthling but one of the weaker a fighters
tien is human, his third eye is a chakra point from which power can be derived, according to some Chinese philosophies. It is also where the third eye that supposedly all beings have resides.Through training and meditation,Tien has managed to make that third eye manifest itself physically.
i'm obbsessed with tien i love himm
wow 14 years old holy shit!
All of the human fighters were brave throughout DBZ, I respet them more than any saiyan, oh and piccolo was pretty awesome too.
The most awesome part of this video to me is seeing how Tien's tribeam technique progressed and improved over the years. In this video we see his first one ever and then the subsequent ones. darkraven220 because he never stops training
tien is my fav character in dbz he is good looking fighter and he is a true warrior very nice video thanks
tien is my favorite he is a true warrior and good looking fighter thanks
What I hate about the series is how irrelevent Tein became.
Thats because the show stopped focusing on fighting technique and became obsessed with power levels. Of course Tien as a Human can't keep up with a Saiyan since they decided to make Saiyans all-powerful. But if they stayed focused on fighting skill, then Tien would have been a rival to Goku.

"fuck super saiyan
fuck power levels
and FUCK YOU!!" -Tien Shinhan
He gonna be in the multi verse but I can't wait to see who they match him up against with
Tanner Favela great thing is he will come back in the tournament of power with his eye unlocked hopefully

I'm so exited the triclops is coming back in the tournament
My favorite DBZ characters was always tien.
I don't really like the saiyans. Except for teen trunks.
hell yeah
Tien is one of the forgotten heroes in DbZ.He possesses a calm attitude & little outward personality that is necessary to thrive in this world.
I think tien is the shit! even more devoted to training and becoming stronger then goku then vegeta was and at least he had the balls to try to fight Super Buu unlike Piccolo who was freaking out
Love Tien always has been my favourite Z warrior
Piccolo was a Namek and therefore inherently more powerful than humans. Yet he was reluctant to fight. The difference was that Tien never feared anyone or anything. And he always stepped in right at the critical times...against Cell and again with Buu.
Great tribute to the greatest charecter!!! IMO
Ten preparándose por si vegeta los traiciona
Breaking Benjamin and Tienshinhan. My favorites!
Tien is a freaking beast! The tri beam has got to be the most destructible move on DBZ
Anyway he's not Human. This is a common mistake. Kishimoto says he's a human in the manga and even in the anime, but in the Daizenshuu is mentioned that he's a descendant of an alien race: "the 3-eye alien race"

A bit late but, the Daizenshuus were not written by Toriyama. Tenshinhan is human.
WTF man between Tien and Kirllin is over 9000 !!!
great vid, Tien is awesome
Hell yeah
Krillin had more potential since it is mentioned several times in DB that age affects their power. Tien is cool. He can only keep up because of the tri beam though
WOOOOOOT unbealivible amv i never see better amv like this
Would like to see Tien & ChaouZu get their hands on Nappa now! ChaouZu would rip hm a new one with ease!
Awesome!!
Tien rocks!!

Tien is the best the charactor in dbz. HE IS SO FUCKIN HOT!
Tien is the best oh humans!!!
He isn't a human..but he's earthling
He’s part of the three eyed people
They’re technically aliens

@HiHaterzz1 i love him too!
What a wasted character tien is number 1 fr
I never knew why dbz cut out yamacha and tien so badly heck even piccolo but gave krillin way more tv time .
GT doesnt count and it sucks! But yes, Tien is the strongest human.... but alot of people say that he isnt a human. after all he has a weird third eye xD...
