An interesting behind the scenes for this video is what looks like cgi is actually eddie manifesting his thoughts on to the physical plane in real time
Well not much. But I think, due to it catch wrestling heritage, luta livre put a lot more emphasis on "WRESTLING" and leg lock. While luta livre don't have the pin(which is allowed in catch wrestling) it still is based on wrestling. As in dominating your opponent from the top, taking the opponent down to the ground, etc. And using a lot more leg lock than 10th planet jujutsu. If I am correct they even have a single leg boston crab in luta livre. Remember before (scripted) pro wrestling the boston crab was used in catch wrestling. Although it is the single leg crab not the double leg boston crab in catch wrestling.
Back in the day that’s how it was for most people interested in tenth planet. Just work on the lockdown and rubber guard. Brandon Mccaghren has some good stuff on his channel

@@alanwisse192 Is this comment self-promotion, Ignorance, or a classic Striking versus Grappling argument? I also noticed the emphasis on chinese martial arts in Kung Fu. If it is ignorance or the classic argument then this debate has long since been decided: In the specific context of a 1 vs 1 situation grappling an opponent will break an untrained opponent's arm in seconds, between two trained grapplers, it may take minutes. Learning how to grapple at the very least buy you time for back up to arrive. I assume you have seen the grappler versus striker fights in MMA where the striker either misses a strike, has a strike blocked, or has a strike too weak to stop the grappler. The grappler goes for the striker's legs and pins the striker to the ground until the striker taps out or has a limb broken. In the early days of UFC, the grappler dominated against the strikers so hard to the point where today its mandatory for fighters who specialize in striking to learn how to grapple to simply non-lose for a couple of minutes until the next round begins where they resume fighting standing up . If you are not being ignorant, then I can only assume you are making a pro-striking argument based on a no-back up multiple attackers scenario. In the context of 1 vs multiple people, striking is faster and is able to disable an opponent much faster than grappling, this is not debated. Hell, striking can also do well in a 1 vs 1 situation as well. Striking will not help you; however, if you get grabbed. For the second part: Kung Fu, There are only 2 forms of Kung Fu that works in real life, Wing Chun and San Da. San Da is what I learned growing up, its basically kick boxing, in a similar category to Karate and Thai boxing. While Wing Chun is popular because Bruce Lee and Ipman used it, although the reputation has followed aikido due to popular Wing Chun masters losing to San Da practitioners. Please explain why Kung-Fu would work better than learning great blocking skills from practicing katas in Karate, or the power (and pain) of a Thai boxing, kick and knee. Why not Krav Maga which teaches people how to fight with strikes against guns and knives? I would like to hear your reasoning for being a proponent of Kung Fu specially.
