I miss Kathleen's story time. especially liked when she read to us during Christmas season with the tree up and the fire going. hoping she'll have some free time to want to do that again someday. maybe just a short story once in a while. appreciate she kept the pubcast going once she went back to work. her comedy and voice of reason helps me feel better for a minute with all the shit going on in the world.

Speaking of bears breaking in for yummy food…favorite story was in Estes Park, CO bear broke into a shop called You Need Pie and only ate the cherry pies. I wonder if he did testers, like you did Moonshine, and picked his favorite that way. I’m guessing he smelled the pies and didn’t read the sign and think “you’re right, I DO need pie”.

Happy winter solstice everyone. Just think…an extra minute of daylight every day. May it come with sunshine on your shoulders to make you happy. Merry Christmas (it’s fun, everyone should celebrate even if you’re singing “dreidel, dreidel, dreidel I made you out of clay…”. Wishing you all happy times. Hopefully you don’t get stuck in an airport for days. Don’t brave the cold and blizzard conditions…be like your mentor Kathleen and stay inside and drink. I plan on rewatching some early Pubcasts.

Re: the Smoky Mtn black bears - just gotta share my biggest pet peeve EVER!! When people LITERALLY get out and try to pose with the bears on the side of the road. I witnessed this once - no joke! Woman dragged her screaming kid out of the car, that was parked ON THE ROAD (thus holding up everyone behind her) and stood her child next to a baby bear cub (Mama bear wasn't around - yet). I rolled down my window and screamed, "THOSE THINGS WILL EAT YOU!!!" Then, what inevitably happens, the bear will attack someone and then the bear gets put down when it wasn't the bear's fault.

I remember hearing you talk about trying to give your cats frisky's "party mix" treats.... As one wholeheartedly admitted Cat Lady - the Temptations brand will never fail. I think they put crack in them.... I have a female cat who will literally sit, shake my hand, give me 5, and then I put them down where she can get them, and she waits until I tell her OK. 😁

We went to Ole Smokey Moonshine in Piegon Forge! I loved the Banana Cream! My father-in-law loved the pralines and cream. We love Buc-ees!! I liked your outfit! I got a 4th of July tie dye Buc-ee's shirt! Merry Christmas Mama Termite and Paddles!
Being raised in the South, Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge and Dollywood was where it was at! And then the next week you go to the beach and golf. We don’t advertise it a lot because we don’t want people here, No offense! Lol

Kind of like Idaho. Beautiful, but nobody knows about it and they like it that way. When I went to Washington State University (just 10 miles from “in the news” University of Idaho - trivia for your day) we spent a lot of time whitewater rafting on the Snake River there and drive north through the state for occasional trips to Banff. Idea for a vacation place. I love “the west”

Took my parents to Gatlinburg in early October. Went to the Crossville TN Buc-ee’s 2 days after I got home (I live in the region) and it was like “Wow, this is the whole Gatlinburg experience condensed down into one huge gas station!”

54:29 fresh water tanks can be setup with a bio filter and an automatic feeder and you can leave them for weeks at a time. I had a 20 gallon growing up and we would leave it for a month or more with the feeder setup and everything. You can have a tank if you want!

next time you are traveling ANYWHERE near Billings, Montana, please come visit our Scheels Sporting goods store. Why? Because it has a HUGE fish tank! AND, and it has a indoor Farris wheel! If you come to Billings I will buy you a six pack of a local beer (from the Bozeman area) that is called "Pigs Ass" the graphics are very funny. I think you'd get a kick out of all of these!

I am familiar with Stucky's a fine establishment with a 16 gas ⛽️ pump station and the cuisine is fantastic. There is one on the I-25 Highway from Denver to Fort Collins in Colorado. Probably around Longmont. Oh there is a huge huge Cabella's there too! 😆

Maybe because I visited in June, I didn’t like Gatlinburg, sieverville or pigeon forge. Their were too many people, it took forever to get anywhere. Traffic was stop and go. Everything was over crowded people shoulder to shoulder and of course we all caught Covid. It was way too crowded for me. If I ever go back it won’t be in the summer.

I agree that work is not the place for political discussion's. I have seen too many individuals actually lose promotions because a supervisor doesn't like their politics. Of course that isn't the excuse given, but we all know this.
