I am in the planning stages of my first layout, want to add ESU Loksound 5 decoders, with keep alive capacitors, and I've noticed in a lot of RUclips videos, that installers like to use NixTrainz Decoder Buddy. Why is that, and how difficult is it to make the swap from factory motherboard to Decoder Buddy?
Essspeee!!!!! 👍👍 Southern Pacific in red?? Has to be an anomaly??? ..Mostly in white?? Okay your talking about that. Sound!!!! 👍👍 Interesting on Athern.👍👍😎
Hay Dan, nice model. try a jeweler's saw for hacking up shells, its much like a coping saw but much smaller and the blades are very fine. Thanks for the inspiration my modeling has improved 3 fold.
Very similar to the Athearn Genesis DCC ready MP15AC that I bought recently. I was blown away by how delicate the details on it are. The Digitrax SDXH166D decoder barely fit after removing one of the weights above the truck near the radiator (to make room for the speaker box). But, now I’m thinking it would be better off with a LokSound Select.
not sure if you guys cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my brother for the last couple of weeks xD
Did you happen to record how you accomplished this? Ive got a RTR SW1500 I'm doing up.... I assume you did the headlights with the metal tube and fiber? SMD LEDs all around?
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
this truly is an art form all in itself, those small details, with the use of airbrushing, and now with dcc and sound...just wow!
"I know it works Dan, If it doesn't work, I'm going to hit you" LOL so funny! Love the model!
Thank you for watching!
Excellent ! ! !That's the unit I was Trained on !.
Awesome Beautiful locomotive
Love this model, you did a great job!
***** no problem :)
Wow, excellent job, really well done model.
some of today's custom built model trains will end up in historical museums, way on down the road from now.
Awesome engine! A lot of nice details too!
Was this featured years ago in january 1991 model railroader?
Oh my, don't know how I missed this video. Very nice job!!!!!
Lots of SP on our channel if you look! :D
I've noticed, which is why I was surprised to see this and couldn't believe I missed this one.

I put a LokSound Select Micro and ESU speaker 50321 in my Atlas MP15DC. The video will come out later this month.
Over the TOP Super Nice Job! If ATHEARN does look they should offer you six figures to work for them. We'll miss you guys.

Were is the real Southern Pacific SW1500 unit 2670 at now??? Is this Southern Pacific SW1500 still running or was it scrapped???
Let us know what you find out!
@@tsgmultimedia OK I will try to find out what happened to this SW1500.
@@tsgmultimedia I am very sorry I was not able to find out if Southern Pacific SW1500 unit 2670 is still running or not.😢😢
@@anthonytaylor8895 Bummer! It probably isn't around any more if you couldn't find the answer.
@@tsgmultimedia Can you do review on the HO Scale E2 Class 060 steam locomotive???

We did not do a how-to on this model. You are probably right about using LEDs and fiber optics.
I've used SMD leds and fiber....how is working emergency red lights accomplished? Paint the fiber or use a jewel?
If I remember right, Dan uses red LED AND a colored lens. It might be a clear fiber optic strand flared with heat then painted with clear red.
Thank you! Greatly appreciated. :)
cool
Man thats great where can i buy one???
I like the model, but it looks little new compare to the real photo that you took.
+Daniel Cortopassi well you still did a great job
This video showed TOO much of the model, and not enough of the real thing. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES !
What are you even talking about?
