@@Mounhas He's more than tolerant and patient with these tourists who come way too close. (Idc if it's because they're trying to get him in the viewfinder or whatever other excuses.) Yes, a part of his job is dealing with tourists, but he also has a right to his personal space and freedom to express himself while respecting his duty. Crowding around him w/o consent is intrusive, not to mention inconsiderate if he needed to react to a safety threat.
I feel so sorry for those wonderful Guards who have to put up with all this crap from people who think he’s just there for their photo shoot! I’m betting they have so many stories to tell among themselves when off duty!
They should have barriers to prevent stupid gits from getting too close to The Kings Guard and King's Horses 🐎 and it is just not fair to expose them to the general public.
@@carminemurray6624 As someone who worked with the general public, I agree. Much of the general public can't be trusted. Not so much because all or most are creeps or w/e, but moreso carelessness and a lack of awareness. Like I just watched a couple vids where some people will touch a guard's horse or reins, when there's a clear sign nearby warning that the horse may get violent if disturbed. I don't think they were trying to provoke or abuse the horse, just that there's some carelessness and lack of situational awareness.
Years ago, the guards and horses were passed by with respect and admiration by the tourist. Now, the tourist walk around like a bunch of roaches expecting the guards to get out of their way!
3:30 It's so nice to have someone to look up to, and you know the Guardsman knows he is being idolized in that moment. Good on him for being a symbol of honor and discipline and masculinity for young boys and girls.

I could only watch 50secs worth. I feel so sorry for this poor soldier. This is NOT what he joined the armed services for. I wish they would keep those fecking tourists far back from these poor guards.
My heart goes out to the guards who are forced to put up with this indignity over and over again for their entire shift. Treat the poor guard as if he’s some kind of object to be used for their pics. At least give him more space and consideration that he’s an on-duty guard! I’m sure if there’s an emergency, they’d likely rely on him to do something. I also don't care who you are, where you're from, what language you speak, etc. And while there are different social etiquette and traditions regarding touching others, personal space and personal freedom of expression are universal concepts, especially around strangers.

Den Ellenbogen kann man durchaus nachvollziehen...nach wahrscheinlich gefühlten 100 Leuten die in ihm reingekrochen sind...wie ignorant so viele mit der Distanz umgehen die im Grunde selbstverständlich sein sollte.
What is it with these ignorant people? This is a military guard, on duty, not a model or wax dummy for them to shuffle up to, grinning and trying to look as if they've achieved something. Who is responsible for the duties and parameters of the guards? More than time to limit the distance the ignoramuses are allowed to approach.
this gaurd has serious anger issues , he should be taken off these duties as it is not the first time he has lashed out , you have to bear in mind that tourist do not know how close they can go and if they are doing anything wrong , these gaurds are only there as a tourist attraction so blame the hierachy

@@folkme3042 I agree the British Royal guards that I've seen on YT do show a lot of self-control and patience. It must be very difficult, even if they are used to it, to keep calm in certain situations, such as people standing too close. However, in the video, I disagree that public as whole is respectful. Granted, they don't try to provoke or abuse him, and I hear some of the public defending the guards or calling out the bad tourists' stupid behavior. But I think most of them crowd around him too close and are being inconsiderate that he's on-duty guard. I know many want they want to snap a quick pic or 2, and it may be hard to get him in the picture. But that just shows those who are thinking of their pics in the moment, not of how the guard may feel or his duties. Granted, dealing with tourists come along with his duties, but that doesn't mean tourists can't be more considerate and fair to others. For me, taking pictures of the guards individually is a bit creepy, as they can't consent (regardless of legal, more moral ground) and are being treated as if they're objects for a pic by just taking a pic w/o consent. I'd say events are different, such as parades, because there's a reasonable expectation of it being filmed due to it being a special event.
