Oh, Abbi, thank you so much for sharing your journey and for being so open and honest. I'm in the beginning of my 4th year of grieving and adapting to the loss of my youngest son by suicide at the age of 26. God has allowed many trials through out my life and I've grown through them and drawn closer to Him. I so know what you mean when you want to talk of all that Christ has done and yet people want to talk about the latest sale or sport story. Your words and convictions encouraged me today. Thank you!

Abbi, thank you for opening your home, heart and family experience. Your reliance on God and His Word are an inspiration, especially when you related your preference for scripture over experience. And I especially related to what you said about women's Bible studies. I have felt guilty about my negative feelings for the extra time and focus on prayer before and after each study--talk about focusing more on us than on Him! I always became impatient to get into the Word and share more about His works. Sure, He is working through those prayers we share with each other and that's a good thing to be thankful for His answers and direction. And yes, it's a more proper way to begin and close a study in His Word. Still, I have been ready to dig deeper and therefore, put more time into His Word (now I really need to focus and get busy!). I accidentally dialed into another witness's testimony on my cell phone this morning, tuning in to some fellow's words about quitting your job to pursue your dream. I caught some words about choosing whom you will serve (versus finding a job that fits your skills). I was again inspired by my servant's heart, thinking that my approach has been the reverse. I see where there was nothing accidental about it and the way it tied into your words this morning. I choose to give God the glory and to serve Him. Thank you again.

Love your story and words Abby. My 86 yo dad has Alzheimer’s. Your sweet words brought tears to my eyes. It’s not a disease I would choose either and I loved your comment about that. Thank you so much. ❤️

Wow, thank you for sharing. Your message is so much broader than just your current journey. Your words cause one to pause and think about as well as direction and inspiration.
