I was looking into cololights for my small office space. I don't have a ton of wall space in there and wanted to put something up. I've always wanted nanoleafs but they are huge and out of my budget at the moment. So I think I will go for the cololights for now!

The thing with Cololight's are that they may seem cheaper than Nanoleaf, they're not if you are wanting quite a few. The price to size ratio is definitely more favourable towards the Nanoleaf side. The longest point of the Nanoleaf panel is 24cm whilst the cololight is just smaller than the size of your palm. If you were looking for the same sized space to fill LED tech, I still think the Nanoleaf could achieve it cheaper.

Josh, I have both, Nanoleaf Aurora and Canvas and also 11 or 13 Cololight panels. Had issues with both, Nanlleaf terrible setup, I have them set up but it's a bit of a hassle. Cololight easy to set up, but their customer service is terrible, emailed them multiple times, nobody ever replied. Cololight is constantly freezing on me after changing the light from one color to another even though I went through pretty much all the setting adjustments or requirements. On the other hand dudes from Nanoleaf are there to help. Cololight is a nice addon but can't beat Nanoleaf. As you said, they are pricey, but still worth it!
I think one thing which is more noticeable to me but you don't seem to mention is the fact that the hexagon have a lot more leds inside so the patterns ate much more versatile. You can have multiple colours in each panel. That could be really fun, especially for music matching and visualisation.
Just a thought.
All the panels in each LED are the same colour man. The panel can't be half one colour and half another :(

To be fair dude, you can wall-mount them easily - they do wall-mounting kits - www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YBH56V3 - those you can use sticky pads with.
They're designed to go in their stands to start with, and if you wanna get them on the wall you can do.
Plus, the main benefit and point of these I feel is that you can get them into smaller spaces than Nanoleaf. I don't have the space for a Nanoleaf kit on the wall in my gaming area - so these work their way around my posters and figures haha.

Emzy he will have something like Phillips hue with a purple couloir that’s never to white to make it still light and not overwhelming
it's an 11 pack for 90 us. so you can get 22 for 180 which is cheaper than the 9 pack nanoleaf on amazon. I feal like they both have a purpose if you are going wall mount the nanoleaf seems better but these are good for desk setups since there like led building blocks. Still a cool video, keep up the good work.

well worth the money kinda depends... looks pretty-yes easy to install-yes easy to setup-yes cost alright-no nanos just cost waay too much for what they are.... little smartlights that you need about 1k worth to make something really cool.

I was sent some of these to showcase on my instagram, but the quality is awful. The connectivity is horrendous, the app is non-responsive half of the time and the size is far too chunky & small.

They sell 2 for 5 dollars at 5 below of those hex panels, they don’t have multiple colors per panel capability tho
It's not really an alternative when you are seriously looking at the specs. Looks and design yes, but not for example, integration. One interesting feature of the NanoLeaf is it's compatibility with, example, Samsung Smart Things, which opens up it's capability and thus a range of Smart Home IOT devices and therefore 'use'. A fixed standalone side piece is in no match of a comparison compared to a full matrix controlled wall lighting fixture. For eye candy purposes it's certainly a cheaper alternative but do feel they are miles apart in regards to what they do...
