@@RGGarage I think I'll be following along, my 66 has been done twenty years, I wish the internet was around when I built mine, sure a lot of pointers. Just started a '71 Camaro project for my Granddaughter.
You're such a cool guy. Love you're channel brother! Love how you patch instead of replace. That's how I'm doing my late uncle's 59 Apache. I told my cousin if I replaced all the sheet metal. It would not be his truck. Just because it needed a patch welded in. And keep it original. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you.
Your works looks good as usual. Got another job done on the old Chevelle. Open header rehab is always good. Cost of shipping up here is crazy too. Floor patches for the average are good if they cover the hole, are solid and watertight......who's gonna see them. Worked on the trunk floor of a friends '64 Valiant many years ago. Had already cut out the little bit of spare tire well that was still there. My buddy wanted to just patch the rest of the trunk floor but I had my doubts. I was cutting out a small patch in one corner and just as I finished the whole floor gave way. It was not as good as my buddy thought!! That was a crazy car. 4-door, slant 6 with 3-on-the-tree. He swapped in a 440, 4-barrel, 4-speed and rear end out of a wrecked Cuda. Both back doors were bolted shut to help stiffening the car. Be safe and stay well.
Good work on the floor, I’ve used torch on roofing for sound deadening on floors, the stuff without the gravel. Cut the piece to size, heat it up with a torch and slap into place. Seam sealer and sound deadening all in one
Your gettin it Robert! She's going to be a great driver. Shipping costs these days are crazy. Good luck on getting the parts you need. Take care brother👍
Great job on them patch panels , back of dryers and ac units make exellent patch panels. New subscriber to your channel like your videos keep up the great work. Big shout out to you from Mexico.
Hey, I enjoyed your video. I have the same issue with that back panel under the rear seat. I was only able to get one side and that was a year ago. Probably better off getting the whole panel and save yourself some trouble. Yes the shipping is a killer. 1966 Malibu convertible. Greetings from Monmouth County ,New Jersey. Keep up the good work.
I have a 65 cutlass. On the driver side someone replaced the floor from under the pedals to the part that’s raised for the seat. I wasn’t sure if that should be over lap or butt welded. I can reuse the pan but wasn’t sure if I needed to redo it.
Nope. Trying to find sheet metal at spring swap meets so I don’t have all that shipping. One more swap meet comin up. Lookin like I will have to pay shipping. Lol. Check out video tonight on new junk added to collection
Even though it was pitted. Floor is very strong. I have one new under seat pan. The other is on back order. We are on a budget and can use cash towards air ride and motor. It would be nice to have new everything but we are making a every day driver. ✌️✌️👊🏻 plus it’s only a Malibu not SS. 10k is the budget
Nice job on fixing the floor pans. You do what makes you happy!
Not to shabby for something you will never see👍👍👍
Best looking Chevelle ever made IMO. The engine seems to love the mustard!😄
Sometimes you just got to. 👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
Nice 👍, it’s coming along great 👊🏼😎✌️
Thanks Herb. 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻✌️✌️
Hey Robert. Good video. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Hey, thanks Andy.
You have a great attitude...
Nice to see a 66 Chevelle getting some love......
My first hot rod back in the day. 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻

My 73 is sitting next to Chevelle that I need to get back on.
Looking good there Robert.
Thanks bud. Keep plug-in away. 👍👍
Another fine video. I love your attitude, spend the money where you see it. Gonna be a great car when you are done.
Thanks Dan. If it was an SS I wouldn’t cut corners. 👍👍✌️✌️
Got a good bit of the floor handled! 👌
Thanks for checkin in Bryan. Sent you an email. ✌️✌️👍
Yes sir, answered it 😃
Cool. I’ll be walk-in for 2 days. I’ll definitely keep my eyes open for ya.
I appreciate that brother
I like your thanking Robert, there is nothing safe around me, if it's laying there not moving I'll take it and use it on my car. 😜👍
For sure. Never throw anything away. Lol. 👍✌️✌️👊🏻
Good work Brother, wish all my 67 needed was a few patches, I've gotta do the entire floor!!! Glad to see you feeling better and back at it!!!
The trunk area is completely missing. Lots more to come. 👍👍

Thanks bud. Going to have to replace some areas that are to far gone but definitely patch what you can. 👍👍✌️✌️👊🏻👊🏻

That works for me Robert! It's not like we're going to Sema 😂
👍👍👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Your gettin it Robert! She's going to be a great driver.

Take care brother👍
Thanks brother. Going to try and make what I can. 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻
Yep the cost of shipping is just about the same as the damn part!!! Restoring a '67 Firebird and feeling your pain man!
More of an excuse to try and make your own panels if possible. 👍👍 sweet on the 67. 👊🏻
That's the way to do it. The ole 66 will be cool once again....
looks good
Thanks bud. ✌️✌️

Thanks Kyle. All ready ordered. Worst case, I’ll just make one side. Never see it anyway. Convertible. 👍👍✌️✌️👊🏻👊🏻🤙
looks good to me robert
Thanks bud. 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Little by little. Looks as though you have everything under control. JUst make sure she's safe and you too.

Ya , I’m going to do some floor spots. And over lap it like a half inch. Then seem seal.
Nice work. Please consider wearing gloves when using that angle grinder. Those things can bite!
For sure. 👍👍👊🏻
🙂👍👨🏭👏👍
Hows it look around the lower windshield? I had to replace my lower channel and part of the dash up to about the 2nd defroster vent.
Not bad. Most all the rust is in the back, but when I replace windshield , im sure I’ll have some hidden spots.
🙂🤝😎🗽🇺🇸👨🏭👨🔧
Did you see that comment on Getto floor patches.... What's next patina haters. Great job Robert looks great from where I'm setting on my @ss watching.
Lol. You got to have those armchair experts chime in. Thanks for the support bud. 👍👍✌️✌️👊🏻👊🏻
🤔🙂👍👨🏭1966👍👏
Whats up with the car Robert? You throw the towel in?
Nope. Trying to find sheet metal at spring swap meets so I don’t have all that shipping. One more swap meet comin up. Lookin like I will have to pay shipping. Lol. Check out video tonight on new junk added to collection
Just my opinion but just buy a complete pan set and do it right. Patches are getto!
What you say? Getto....you say Homie. I don't think I would be dissing the world of ratty muscle car. Just my opinion!
I put that $800 towards outside panels that you actually see. Trying to stay on a budget. 👍👍
Can't believe you left all that deep heavy rust pitting and just fixed hole. Not sure why you didn't replace entire pans.
