@@gtrjoe1901 I've been watching a lot of your videos. What a great collection of work. Found some stuff that I played years ago but forgot. Your videos helped me play again in no time. Your the real deal for guitar tutorials.
You're very welcome, one of my all time favorites that I could not play for years.....but once I had the skills ~ I absolutely love to play. I think there are some novel phrasing licks and overall a great song to jam. I appreciate the comment ~ My Very Best ~ Joe
@gtrjoeles -I watched your version of "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang", and that was awesome too! You play it similarly to the way I do, but you have "economy of motion" down pat much more than me. My guitar teacher, way back in 76', always stressed that, and he was right. Thanks for the description of your tone, you have a lot more variables you can use with software, much more than a modeling amp, in my opinion. And you and me share the same first name, and age! I got dem' old ears too! LOL!
You sure made that easy to learn - I had it down before you where done showing it to me. Very cool. By the way, just found your Stormtroopin' lesion - next on the list.
@GonzGunner Well, I truly appreciate hearing what I do helps -I play through Guitar Rig 3 on my computer. The sound was a cranked Fender Twin with a DOD distortion and slight delay. All my videos are done with software - it's much easier and I love the tone. Good enough for these old ears. And for you my friend....Wang Dang should be up, so check my latest lesson. I enjoyed figuring this out and it came quick ~ so I hope you like it, let me know if you do ~ Joe
YES!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!! All the other stuff out there focuses on "Free-For-All" but this is a GREAT one. Will be checking out your other stuff. Your MONZA buddy :)--you know who I am
I am very happy to be the first to respond to your fine video! Excellent, excellent job! You're getting a hellacious sound, I LOVE IT! What amp and, if so, what effects are you using? You made a song of Ted's that has always been a bitch for me to learn, let alone play, a lot easier to do both. I like how you break it down, explain each part and what it does, and then put it all together. That is how guitar playing should be taught! Keep up the good work! Give Wang Dang Sweet Poontang a go!
I just came across this and now I can't stop playing it.Very cool. Belated thanks,
One of the most fun songs. Learned to play this in like 1977. Still find little bits I missed.
Glad you liked it! I'm glad to help - I appreciate the note. ~ My Very Best ~ Joe

Almost sounds like Derrick talking.
