    --------------
I took down my old vid cause they had some copywright issue or somthin so i made a new one...

I flew Concorde in 1987. The captain said, 'Sit back and feel the power of our four Rolls Royce Olympus engines'. Forget economy, just feel the power. Oh yes baby, just bring it back as it was!

There was an organisation that raised money to make one fly again and they had quite a bit of money but that was years and years ago, idk what that became but obviously nothing. I think we needa start something like that again. We needa find some big youtuber who’ll listen to us to spread the word, bcs i bet there are a couple million aviation fans out there, including pilots, and if each donates 10-20 bucks, that would make a butt load of cash to make them fly again.

@@tonerotonero1375 airbus doesn’t own Concorde. British airways still owns its Concordes but airfrance sold all of them for 1 buck. There is a website that lists all the Concordes in the best shape, and the one at LeBourget from AirFrance is apparently the best one. Most systems still work, its in an advanced state of perservation and apparently the engines were inspected in 2011. Insurance is a good point tho…

The SR71 was asked by military ATC to kindly get out the way of a Concorde coming over the Atlantic at mach 2. The crew in space suits and at the same altitude at the time, then started taking pictures. The BBC currently have a couple of new news stories on the beautiful bird. Absolutely! I had the good fortune of working for a global chemical conglomerate with operations around the world. I’d get into the office around 8:00 and there’s be a “crisis” at a dialysis clinic in, say, Johannesburg and a Concorde ticket on my desk. My bossses weren’t giving up their weekends at their ritzy Long Island country clubs so they sent one of us 4 underlings to deal with the problems. That turned out to be one of maybe 300 trips I was on Concorde. Such a great plane…..

I remember what it feels like to fall in love again.....this aircraft is beyond beautiful. Powerful, elegant and different from the rest. Wish she would fly again. I have a hard time imagening the airframe can be more perfect. Imagine the concorde with upgraded more economical engines, a modern cockpit anno 2017, flyable for a two person crew. Savings in weight from modern composites. I have never seen any drawings that came as close to perfect beauty from any other companies. With the concorde you can just see that it flies well, and hopefully one day she will return to her right element. Hats of to the people that designed this beauty, u can rest knowing you did something fantastic for many people around the world.

It was TRULY an AWESOME piece of aviation history. And for kids who grew up in Britain, AND France during the 70's and 80's, seeing Concorde streak across our skies was TRULY a sight to behold, and a real talking point at school the next day.
I would say Concorde did for passenger transport what the Apollo missions did for space travel.
For the first time ever, Ordinary Humans could follow, and catch up with the sun, travelling faster than the rotational speed of the earth. You could take off from London at 9am, and touchdown in New York at 8.30am (local time)
That was such a remarkable achievement back then, and even today.

@@dapdizzy That crash wasn't the Concorde's fault. It was a Contential DC-10 that caused the crash. A piece of metal broke off the DC-10's fuselage and landed on the runway and AF4590 happened to run over it which popped the tire and the tire flew up cut a wire then hit the bottom of the fuselage which created a shockwave causing the fuel tanks to leak and that cut wire created a spark which caused a fire then that led to the plane stalling and crashing.

I live n a city that never had Concorde service, just occasional PR visits. Huge crowds just to see it fly. Pilots would always put on a little show before landing with a low level pass with a roar from those magnificent engines. We have one om display.

This video is brilliant and really captures the magic of Concorde. I especially loved the choice of soundtrack and footage from 5:22 - it gave me goosebumps!

The 747 is the queen of the skies. The concorde is past just the queen of the skies, this is an icon like no other with no forseeable replacement. This is the godess of the skies.

If you ever get the chance, go to Manchester Airport, England and see Concorde G-BOAC (The Flagship) in her hanger. She looks just fantastic and the peopke there really do look after her. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
