I flew Concorde in 1987. The captain said, 'Sit back and feel the power of our four Rolls Royce Olympus engines'. Forget economy, just feel the power. Oh yes baby, just bring it back as it was!
The most beautiful day of my life was when I was a passenger on board the Concorde! Only a trip to the moon is comparable! They never can' t it away from me. I feel very lucky...
Que envidia en su momento perdí la oportunidad de viajar en el Concord y ahora que tengo 73 años me di cuenta que no tome buenas decisiones ahora tendré que esperar a mi otra vida sí es que hay Fui 😢😢un inbesil
To any aviation fan, seeing this beauty grounded is a crime. She belongs to the skies. Tears to my eyes. What an era for us , now stuck in subsonic shuttle buses...
thats what the cabal wanted and also these tin cans they have us driving around in is ridiculous . 700 years of technology hidden from humanity!!! image that!!
There was an organisation that raised money to make one fly again and they had quite a bit of money but that was years and years ago, idk what that became but obviously nothing. I think we needa start something like that again. We needa find some big youtuber who’ll listen to us to spread the word, bcs i bet there are a couple million aviation fans out there, including pilots, and if each donates 10-20 bucks, that would make a butt load of cash to make them fly again.
@@simonw2631 I am afraid the insurance company and Airbus would deny such a project, whatever the funding. Look at the fate of the Vulcan despite its flying condition.
@@tonerotonero1375 airbus doesn’t own Concorde. British airways still owns its Concordes but airfrance sold all of them for 1 buck. There is a website that lists all the Concordes in the best shape, and the one at LeBourget from AirFrance is apparently the best one. Most systems still work, its in an advanced state of perservation and apparently the engines were inspected in 2011. Insurance is a good point tho…
Absolutely! I had the good fortune of working for a global chemical conglomerate with operations around the world. I’d get into the office around 8:00 and there’s be a “crisis” at a dialysis clinic in, say, Johannesburg and a Concorde ticket on my desk. My bossses weren’t giving up their weekends at their ritzy Long Island country clubs so they sent one of us 4 underlings to deal with the problems. That turned out to be one of maybe 300 trips I was on Concorde. Such a great plane…..
The SR71 was asked by military ATC to kindly get out the way of a Concorde coming over the Atlantic at mach 2. The crew in space suits and at the same altitude at the time, then started taking pictures. The BBC currently have a couple of new news stories on the beautiful bird. Good idea to check them out on the website.
A very beautifull tribute indeed! Concorde sure is one of the most beautifull creations man has ever produced. And thanks to youtube, we will not forget her. Thanks!
This plane still looks 20 years ahead of tday, it can never get old, losing the Concorde is like losing the Titanic, i remember as a child seeing the concorde in the skys was simply on another level.
I often go back to this video once or twice per month. Just as a reminder how glorious this aircraft really was. I'm sad that I was never old enough to remember seeing it. I saw it when I was in London, I was 3 years old and saw it depart with the afterburner. My dad still remember that day and its the only memory I have of the Concorde. Of course I dont remember anything myself, I was 3 🥲😅
Im fortunate to have been on Concorde and she is a beautify airplane, without a shadow of a doubt. This is a great montage of video footage and I want to say that the scene where Concorde was being escorted by the RAF Red Arrow display team, brought a tear to my eye. Im not really patriotic, but at that moment, I felt very proud to be British x
Avant-garde, elegant, engineering-excellence, just about sums up British aviation history. Although, I guess many from the millennial generation will think this was either shot on a parking lot in the Arizona or Concorde was built by super-intelligent aliens from another world.
I remember what it feels like to fall in love again.....this aircraft is beyond beautiful. Powerful, elegant and different from the rest. Wish she would fly again. I have a hard time imagening the airframe can be more perfect. Imagine the concorde with upgraded more economical engines, a modern cockpit anno 2017, flyable for a two person crew. Savings in weight from modern composites. I have never seen any drawings that came as close to perfect beauty from any other companies. With the concorde you can just see that it flies well, and hopefully one day she will return to her right element. Hats of to the people that designed this beauty, u can rest knowing you did something fantastic for many people around the world.
Gracias!!
I don't care if I never could have afforded a ticket; the Concorde was still something that sparked wonder, hope, optimism, and pride in everyone who saw it. We need that kind of inspiration today, and I think SpaceX's reusable boosters and Starship development is the closest we have today.
Didnt realise this video was 12 years old, first time viewing, but thanks to the person who posted it. So so sad that we no longer have Concorde gracing our skies. It was always an event to hear of her landing in your area. We would watch the sky for ages, just to catch a glimpse of her distinctive, beautiful, graceful shape. And the way she moved through the air, was like no other aircraft. Love you, and miss you, Speedbird ❤🇬🇧🇨🇵
It was TRULY an AWESOME piece of aviation history. And for kids who grew up in Britain, AND France during the 70's and 80's, seeing Concorde streak across our skies was TRULY a sight to behold, and a real talking point at school the next day. I would say Concorde did for passenger transport what the Apollo missions did for space travel. For the first time ever, Ordinary Humans could follow, and catch up with the sun, travelling faster than the rotational speed of the earth. You could take off from London at 9am, and touchdown in New York at 8.30am (local time) That was such a remarkable achievement back then, and even today.
Where I used to live it came over my house a couple of times to land at our local airport. What a plane, it was so sad when it finished flying, but it will go down in history as a beautiful areoplane.
Probably goes down in history right now, as the most magnificent commercial aircraft ever created. ( by me at least) I just can't get tired of watching her.
Bruh i literally watched this same video when I was 3-4 year old...then ma hard disc got damaged and all videos got lost and now after 12 years in watching this again......
This is the most beautiful piece of aeronautical engineering I have ever seen, thru the course of my lifetime. Such a great looking aircraft, and looks like a real giant Eagle flying thru the sky. I never get tired of watching videos of her. BRING BACK CONCORDE !!! Fantastic video and music to highlight this Legend.
I had to watch this tribute twice before i could think of a word to say that has to be the best concord tribute ever in the tribute history. When you see concord only one words comes to mind beautiful just truly beautiful and your video does her justices. A well done job.
I was lying on the beach and saw the Concorde fly toward me out of the east to Miami International Airport. I thought, If something like the Concorde is possible, I'd better get busy and do something with my life.
While serving with the RCMP in Gander, Newfoundland I loved to see her coming in and leaving. Nothing so beautiful along withe Spitfire and Lancaster of WW II. I went out many times just to have a tour inside her and the crew were oh so proud to show her off.
This video is brilliant and really captures the magic of Concorde. I especially loved the choice of soundtrack and footage from 5:22 - it gave me goosebumps!
There she is. Concorde, Queen of the Skies. I fly exactly this aircraft in MSFS 2020. She’s stunningly beautiful. 👑 The power, speed and sound of those roaring Olympus engines! Love it. Especially in multiplayer. 🥰💪🏽⚡️😎👍🏽
Vi, algumas vezes decolagens e aterrissagens do CONCORDE no Aeroporto Internacional do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Barulho ensurdecedor como as batidas do meu coração. Ia, literalmente, às lágrimas, a cada oportunidade de vê-lo. Ver o "bico" mexer-se, quando da aterrissagem, tornando -se uma ave gigantesca e poderosa, ah! sem palavras para explicar a emoção. Ficou a saudade. Aviões são minha paixão.
I live n a city that never had Concorde service, just occasional PR visits. Huge crowds just to see it fly. Pilots would always put on a little show before landing with a low level pass with a roar from those magnificent engines. We have one om display.

The Concorde set the bar for supersonic aviation technology. Now let's see who can raise that bar up another notch.😂 Good luck. It is a tall order to anyone, for sure, to out match this innovation put forth by the collaboration between Britain and France. When countries work together, this is what you get.
