Great job! Im building my kit as we speak. But Im going to take some liberty with mine and set it up for airsoft. It needs to look good but still be functional and hold all of the mission critical gear needed. Water, mags, bbs, etc. Ive got a laser engraver. I may try to use it to cut some stuff out.

    • @Blackmist523
      @Blackmist523  6 лет назад +3

Ive tried it with airsoft personally. While the gear holds up, its mainly your field of vision that is an issue. Due to the way the visor is cut, your visibility is limited. Also the weight of the jumpkit is bad too, so you cant run super fast without the plate popping off. Just some stuff to keep in mind, i wish you all the best with your kit though and would love to see it!

Blackmist523 I bought two helmets. The 100 dollar resin one on ebay that lights up. I plan on using that for show. (The collectors edition is up to 500-600 dollars) And then I bought the airsoft mask from evike. If that proves too restrictive, Im just going to decorate a bump helmet to militia colors and run that. My jet pack Im going to build out of PVC plastic. It should be light, but Im running out of funds. The bulk of the cost I spent on was a AUGa3, a Angelfire tracer unit that lights up on the side. And a Nstar scope with a blue nav light and laser unit. The gun should look super high tech when Im done. It will be a work in progress. For my armor I need to incorporate a molle vest and then I plan on adding foam panels to make it look authentic. Have to have mag space! Im also thinking about what to build for mission objectives. Green glowing cylinders for battery packs? Some wrecked Titan fuselages? An Ark? Looking for some ideas, if you have any. I also have a phantom 4 drone I want to incorporate.

@@rockinmranch6895 Im trying to put together an airsoft kit too. Making my helmet out of foam and using Andrew DFTs guide for the pulse helmet. Using this vest and painting it od green. Cant wait to start.

I am planning on starting my own airsoft kit as well. I would like to know how viable the Evike helmet is in visibility. I'd also like to run a few suggestions with what I intend to do differently for the build.
For BDUs I managed to find cheap OD-green flight coveralls on Amazon, the Rothco has a forward-facing chest zipper and ankle zippers. The ankle zippers would be perfect for making a similar appearance to the Pilot gaiters over the boots. Even though its 100% polyester I don't know if the design would be breathable enough to support extended athletic use.
For the helmet, I am considering purchasing both the Evike mask and a bump-type helmet then retrofitting both to form a full helmet. high-density foam and/or kydex can seal the gaps and form additional features, the only challenge is maintaining rigidity and comfort. The greatest advantage to this approach is that its relatively inexpensive compared to collector replicas, and the unpainted model gives me the freedom to paint my own helmet and give it a unique graphic scheme. I also intend on applying blue luminescent paint on the mesh visor that will glow in the dark. It should be dim enough to not blind the wearer's vision and requires no electronics.
For the jumpkit, a simple PVC mock-up would do. However if I want to give it some functionality, I could use the shell as a storage compartment for a propane gas canister used for refilling gas-blowback airsoft guns, it could even be used for PolarStar systems.
For the holster, the VTech IPSC Competition Holster is perfect for matching the Pilot open-style holster, but a G-Code thigh holster could give me real-steel versatility.
For the data knife, it would either be purchased as a model on Etsy or fabricated by scratch. The knife would be cast-molded or cut from rubber to become a usable airsoft weapon.
Lastly, the weapon of choice I intend to design for this kit is the P2016 sidearm. The Hi-Capa pistols are one of the closest designs to the P2016/RE-45 and have a wide range of customization options. a 4.3" model would have the slide cut and pinned to form the split-frame design (or I can invest in machining a custom profile). Among other upgrades, the pistol would also be modified to mount a rectangular NcStar laser module of similar size to the one featured on the P2016. If I were to have a primary weapon in the future, the GHK G5, an SRU bullpup, or a full-auto Hi-Capa Xtreme customized like the RE-45 are worthy candidates.
Although this is merely speculation, it may be possible in the future to develop an LED round-counter on the rear of the Hi-Capa slide. My current concept allows for the rear hammer to still work. The display attached to the slide is a 3D printed shell with fiber-optic wires acting as the display bars. A 3D printed replacement grip safety and backstrap will house the battery, switches, and LED lights. When the slide is forward, the LED lights positioned on the grip safety module correspond to the fiber optic wires on the slide, illuminating the display but keeping the entire slide free of electronics to keep it lightweight, durable, and hollow to leave room for the hammer. A switch on the grip safety will interact with the slide and actuate every time the slide cycles, counting down from 30rds causing the corresponding LEDs to turn off and/or change color. A second switch on the backstrap will interact with the magazine and actuate every time the magazine is removed and reinserted. This is the on/off switch and it resets the round counter when turned back on (when a new magazine is inserted into the gun). It doesn't account for partially-filled magazines, but a memory-system could work between two magazines, any more would require greater complexity in the mag-to-gun relationship.
I can link any items I have referred to in a following comment. I would be very interested in learning more about your builds!

I know these videos are super old but still left me super curious how most of the gear is attached to each other like the backpack in the back plate.
I had noticed you used a molle belt to attatch the jumppack too though.
Also would love to see you airsoft in cosplay , It would be sick

I was actually thinking about making a real life version of a pilot outfit, looking at some of your old videos has helped me a bit. I didn't see the knee pad and how you made it so it can go around your upper arm. I need to watch all your vids still, saw one last night and now this one lol
Encase anyone else wants to try as well, for armor, it would need to be freeman plates level 3 steel from AR500, with partial rap soft level 2 under neath from Bullet Proof Me ( police surplus, to keep price as low as possible ). This would provide protection for 1 shot stop hits. While the soft will still give protection but have enough flex and opening on sides to allow you to do parkour free running.
Arms and legs would need a custom made holder so they could be buckled around your boots, forearms , upper arms and hamstrings. In soft level 2A be lighter and thinner so wont bounce around and slide as much when moving at fast speed.
Most people want to use a flight suit though it looks right it's better to get two peace BDUs the separation of top and bottom wont restrict you. The only thing I can't figure out is the helmet.
For those more tech savy look up LED invisible car, this could be done with a poncho, or yes a flight suit ( since wont be able to run that well anyway ) the battery would need to be where jump kit is but if connected the lights to a camera from a phone it will project everything behind you from the suit or poncho.

I sent the xcoser one back. It was more like a rubber mask. I found a collectable helmet on ebay for 250 that I will use for looks. But my main mask is the one from Evike. Its totally bb proof. To hide the fact its a mask and not a helmet, I use a viper hood to conceal the back. All I have left to do is get my armor and jet back going. I have painted my AUG OD and installed lights and lasers. Its very cool!
