Great, clear instructional video. I've been playing since 1963 ! everything from rock, jazz, and my own electric guitar concerto with symphony orchestras. But this introduced me to a whole new experience and technique. Much appreciated, Mathew.
Great advise! Can I ask what pick you use? That looks like it could solve my issues with my pick turning sideways in my fingers or just plain dropping it!

Sure thing! It’s a Fred Kelly bumblebee jazz pick.
@@mathew_dale Appreciate it! I'm going to try one
I just noticed you are using a thumb pick...
hear like The Best Time
You can really lose your head when you shred
wow when i play in 3s like you present, it is hard not to think triplets for me
Yeah it’s difficult to play in groups of 3 in a division of 4. Great to practice though!
Mathew I will subscribe what is your guitar make. Many thanks.
Thanks for watching! The guitar I'm playing here is a Strandberg Boden Fusion NX
Your Shredding that shirt Broski! Toight like a fooking Toiger!
What is that thing on your thumb?
Lol; it's a thumbpick. Not really the pick of choice for neoclassical shredding.
Specifically it’s a Fred Kelly bumblebee jazz pick. Basically a Jazz III on a thumb loop
