yep, even the first C6´s back in 2005/2006 had a 4-Speed Auto, when you picked this option, base was a 6-Speed Manual on the C5 and C6 and still today a very impressive performance, the C5 has.

If it's the factory trans it's a 4 speed, which makes it even worse. lol. I used to drive one of these a lot, and it had the auto in it, and man, that transmission sucked sooooooo much.

Love all the people ripping on the LS1 as if it's not one of the most reliable engines that is very clearly under tuned from the factory. There is a reason the majority of swaps use LS motors... "Hurr hurr, this euro motor makes more hp/litre hurrrrr stock vs stock" .
A 2.0 litre from a current C63 is bigger externally than this LS, and a pain in the ass to work on. The belt is behind a pair of radiators.

344 horsepower out of a 5.7L V8?
God that's awful. 60 horsepower per liter is worse than a Camry LE.
C5 launched in 1997. What did european V8's offer at that time? BMW 4.4 286hp (64hp/liter), audi A8 4.2 280hp (67 hp/liter), Mercedes 5.0 320hp (64hp/liter). So yeah slightly better, but 5.7 344hp were ok numbers for a V8 of that time.
BMW M5 97 mod 400hp and 500nm.

@@christianleandro5209 yeah well honda S2000 was pushing 240hp out of a 2.0L engine in 1999, my point is that 344hp from a very reliable 5.7L was adequate numbers in 1997.

That 5.7 liter V8 is smaller externally than most V6s. Stats don’t say everything.

For those complaining about the car being riced out and being an automatic, the owner got this car for a whopping 15k euros.
You can get a C6 for that in US in this condition
