@@LeechWoman I think this may have been something added in post as this film went through a crazy ass production that involved William Lustig leaving the production even though not even 55 minutes of the film was done with producer Joel Soisson taking control. Considering the use of alternative takes of MC2 and the credits stretched out, no wonder the film is barely 84 minutes. The recent Blue Underground releases of the film have Lustig's name (Seeing as he founding the company) replaced with the ol' Alan Smithee alias.
I met the Maniac cop co star Tom Atkins in Concord the other day he was really nice. I applauded him for his performance in Escape from New York, Halloween Season of the witch, quite frankly he scared the hell out of me in Creepshow until the end of the movie, and his performance in Maniac Cop was great but I hated when they killed him off and his co stars in the sequel shouldn't have died. I'm hoping for a Maniac Cop remake but this time the cops are ghosts who were killed in the precinct by their superiors.
I don't know about Tom Atkins or Laurene Landon but Bruce Campbell had no desire to keep being part of the franchise so that's why they killed his character, he was not a big fan of the original movie and without his part I guess there was not much else to do with Landon's character other than write her off also.

Pretty easy if you have an old school Baton one that has a rope attached to it and time it at a pace! I know I use to do it first few times hurt like hell! Then they changed crap to the PR 24s where we live then asp...then the pr24 collapsible
Victoria Ramos I use a baton like Matt Cordell’s in my work as a security guard. I found they still make them today, whilst looking around a uniform store for some duty belt equipment.
It helped Mr. Z'Dar was an actual Chicago Policeman, so he probably learned how to do it then. It is a neat trick, and I've practiced it with batons before. Tricky.
I’m an 80’s child from NY and that look was for the movie, in real life the foot patrols walked around with that baton hulsterd always standing tall looking bored to death. As an adult back then they just weren’t allowed to do anything.

In this movie we finally uncover the death of Harvey kinkle's mother it turns out she didn't die from natural causes it turns out she was murdered by Harvey's uncle Robert Kinkle as it turns out he's his father's brother he was also a mass murderer in the Greendale archives it was said in newspaper articles Town psychopath kills nine people all of them were identified as teenagers and they were all killed with a pickaxe and then the next news report says movie killer strikes again and then movie killer apprehended and sentenced to death. Robert Kinkle age 32 was apprehended at his brother's residence and charged with the murder of 36 civilians among the victims was his sister-in-law authorities were baffled by the scenery of this demented man as he held an ax and holding a heart in his other hand DNA sources confirmed that it was Harvey's mother. Mrs Kinkle was claimed by a close relative and laid to rest in Riverdale Cemetery she survived by her widowed father and traumatized son. Harvey Kinkle was only 3 years old when his mother was murdered that was a trauma that he never told anyone else. In 2023 Robert was sentenced to death by electrocution until he was resurrected by the son of the devil to hunt down Harvey and his friends. The way I picture Robert in this one is he is a zombifying prisoner who has a personal Vendetta against 18-year-old Harvey and his resurrection was created through necromancy

This needs an adaptation similar to Friday the 13th (2009) where it does not try to disregard things from the original. Voorhees meeting Cordell would be interesting to see in a comic of sorts. Technically they both wanted revenge. They were in that internet game together but there should be a proper fighting fame with hirror icons. Mortal Kombat type game.
