Hi boys ! I have an edition of this album from Friday Music and the inner book it came loose from the cover like a magazine , complete like the original but loose , the copy is from 2015 in green vinyl and the sound is amazing ! Love this album ! Thank You and TCB ! 👑👍
I have the second version of this, the blue one from 1960 or whenever, from my parents. We've had it for 62 years and the first EP LP I ever heard. I'd love to have that original '57 LP! :)
Hey guys, for some reason I only knew of this episode today December 22. This is the episode I've been waiting for. My wife gave me a copy of this for my birthday this year. The 1035 is my holy grail. I love it. I don't open it as I don't want the spine to tear. I have the cd from 1985 also. Merry Christmas friends!! Good video.
Very cool!! So glad you have one! And no problem - if you click on the bell notifier next to subscribe, it'll tell you when we post a video (I think you have to select "all" after you click the bell, iirc). Still - glad you saw the video, and that's fantastic that you have one! And wait until you see this Friday's episode - some very exciting stuff we're looking at. 😁
Hey Jamie & John how are you friend ? MERRY CHRISTMAS buddies: ) great stuff, i was lucky to get the Original LOC vinyl when i was in LA back in 2008 , paid some $ , but worth it , Have a wonderful holidays , your friend: Lior
Hey, Lior! I am SO sorry I didn't see this until now! We're good, working on all kinds of things for our next batch of filming. :) That is so awesome that you got an original, I love it! And hope you had a very Merry Christmas and New Year's, too!
I have a spare copy to handle, see booklet and open wide, but I don't do it to my nicest copy of it, specially because this binder is fragile and it is rare and pricey when it is intact and with gold text all there legible. You definitely can't beat the original 1957 issue. And I have other issues like Speakers Corner and Friday Music.
Actually, we do talk about that toward the end - we just touch on it briefly since we also mentioned it on the Paper Sleeve vs Album Collection - The Album Collection is probably the closest representation to the vinyl, with the BMG Japan Paper Sleeve version being close behind. We prefer the Album Collection version event to the original vinyl, overall, but that's a matter of taste since some like everything that comes with the vinyl experience. 😁
@@EAPSociety I wanted to throw out there, The 1985 re-issue for the “50th” On Green Vinyl is outstanding, real great clean sound. I was really amazed when I actually sat down to listen. Check it out sometime.
It's pretty funny when you say "American CD" because although it replicates original US issues and it is a great job, it was manufactured only in Europe and there's no American print (most of it as of 2010 are printed in Mexico) Are you sure japanese paper sleeves were not taken from copies of master tapes? Because these were remastered with 96Khz/24 Bit spectrum and for me to these days these still have better sound quality. I love it!
Yeah, we just say American CD since it was the U.S. release, even though it wasn't made here. Most of the BMG Japan releases were from album tapes, not master tapes (the BMG Japan Elvis rep told me this, they don't have access to sessions or master tapes, or didn't at the time). But they did an amazing job with what they had! I do think the newer Sony release is better, but in this case it's extremely close, so certain aspects of the Paper Sleeve mastering may be more to others' tastes.
Excellent watch guys 👑

Merry Christmas 🎄...i have the original LOC-1035 in my Collection (🤫lookin not so good but the Canada & Japan Versions make it) ...i like the FTD CD 😉
Very cool, Harald! Merry Christmas to you, too! And yes, the FTD looks pretty good! I'm actually surprised we forgot to look at it alongside these!
Another great review. Japan released an updated version in the 60s with a 60s pic on the photo but no book, only lp.🤔🤔
Thanks, Henry! And very interesting on that no-book release!

How about the Sonic quality ??? Otherwise, another good one. Thanks.

@@FrankieLovesElvis Nice! I have that one, so in a future video around this time of year, we'll have to do a direct comparison! 😁
