- Surfline forecasted a new 8-12 ft NW-NNW swell with good to fair conditions for the Final Day of the Lexus Pipe Pro 2024. Because of the extra North influence, Sunset Beach and Haleiwa were pretty challenging to surf. Pipeline was the best on this day but the girls were in search of the next best thing. Some of the surfers featured in this video include Hurley surfer from Bali, Ben Benson, Kaya Waldman 🌺 @kayawaldman, Raquel Heckert 🌺 @raquelheckert_ and Jessica Wertheim 🌺🧚🏻♀️ @iamjessinfairyland. Wonderful videos. I dont know anything about surfing. However it looks like there are frequent near misses that look very dangerous in this sport. Are accidents common?
Yes very common 😬 but I think it's worth it 😊👍🏾
@@revealhawaiimedia808 What I noticed is when somebody is surfing very fast across a wave, there are other surfers paddling out who could be run over. Sometimes it looks as if a paddling surfer could be hit by a board of a speeding surfer either in the body or god forbid in the head. The potential for serious injury when there are a lot of people in the water at the same time looks high.
@@meshplates Yes this also happens sometimes but less often especially if the surfer is experienced they will maneuver around the others

Thank you for your comments in previous video. We realize now that our HDR videos appear fuzzy on RUclips in 4K even though the quality is really good when we play the file saved on the computer. We believe the issue is with RUclips uploading 8k HDR Pro Res 422 and we might have to go back to uploading SDR Rec. 709 video and start color grading on DaVinci Resolve instead of Final Cut Pro. Thank you again for your feedback 🙏🏾
