I use dexterity and QuickDraw on all of my classes. I rush so if I am running and see someone in front of me, I can almost immediately aim and spray them down. I don't even know how people rush without dexterity
Jesse Wright trust me...I use extreme conditioning which is something I cant just take away I need thatlonger duration I want to get over to my enemy side and just freaking spawn trap them like crazy
Your videos are incredible. Not only is this an insane amount of information in a very short amount of time, you present it in a way that makes it entertaining! Amazeballs.
Thank you for this episode Drif0r i really wanted an episode on dexterity as it is a perk i use basically religiously and the quickdraw added in just made this video better.
Thank you for all the help you've given the community Driftor. You've completely changed the way I pick and chose weapons and/or attachments! I am greatly appreciative to the knowledge I've learntand I look forward to learning more!
Hey Drift0r, im the one who first asked you to do a quick draw vs dexterity video and i just wanna say thanks! seeing this video come up only a week after asking you is awesome , it really shows you care about what we say!!! great job
I use a Remington 870 with a red dot sight (or any type of sight basically) with dexterity and a ACOG sighted crossbow.I use engineer perk, and cold blooded(if needed to play dead). For Tactical and Lethal grenades i use: Combat Axe and 2 Black Hats. This class is very useful for maps such as Yemen or other maps with lots of ladders or or windows that are able to mantle through. If this class has helped you at getting better at ranking up kills/scorestreaks your welcome.
Depends on the lobby, I keep a TM class for those lobbies that always seem to use Tac grenades/charges. If the other team isn't using them it's a complete waste of a perk. All a matter of changing your class to adapt to the current opponent.
When you aim down sights in BO2, its takes like a second for your accuracy to tighten from your hip fire accuracy to your ADS accuracy. So quickdraw doesn't increase overall accuracy, but it does help your accuracy increase faster when ADS quickly
I use dexterity mainly for manteling stuff. In BO2, you can get in almost evry camp spot by climbing up, so doing it quickly is very important to a rusher
quickdraw and dexterity combined is basically lightweight pro from mw2. this is used on all my smgs and ar. quickdraw is not needed on shotguns as they are very affective in hipfire and if your going to aim them then do the shotgun equivalent of a pop shot or quickscope for best effect. i find i very rarely hitmarker with the remi if i do this and generally wont miss either due to aim assist
The only shotgun worth using QD on is the KSG. QD, Laser, and Stock, or QD, Stock, and Suppressor both are slaying combos. Also, QD may not help LMGs much, but every bit helps with those sluggish beasts, and Dex is a must.
Thanks for posting the math. New ADS time for LMGs is 0.45s thanks to the buff. I know the QBB used to ADS faster than the others by 0.01s. I'm wondering if it still does.
I can't believe Drift0r has to do an episode on these myths. It's incredibly stupid how people make them up without first knowing how any of the items in question work, much less the raw code involved.
Dude Drift0r, sick ass intro and great videos. Ive learned so many new things from your videos and my accuracy is better too thanks to the tac 45 lol. just got yourself a new sub
@astrobrad25 That's an easy one. It's down to the fact that firing from the hip is wildly inaccurate and when you shoot , the bullet has a higher chance of missing, or hitting the guys leg or foot , which isn't a lethal shot. If your not aware you have to shoot someone stomach up to get a one shot with the bolt action snipers.
Balance among attachments, basically. It's less necessary on SMGs due to good hipfire, an already fast ADS time, and high ADS mobility that makes pre-ADSing much easier; thus Quickdraw needs to be much stronger in order to compete with the alternatives. On the other hand, Quickdraw would be the best attachment bar none for LMGs if it was anywhere near as good as the SMG variant.
quickdraw replace the grip near the trigger, which you hold with your right hand. Fore grip is near the barrel where you would hold your left hand. So basically, quickdraw: Right hand Fore grip: left hand
I always forget to like your video when I first watch it and have to come back and remember to show support... Oh well, thanks for the info Driftor! Really enjoy your videos
I like both but my primary 3rd tier perk is Engineer. All those bright red bettys, claymores, and shock charges are like my own personal UAVs. I know right where you are - sometimes from across the entire map. Not to mention, there's no better feeling than rolling a RC-XD care package to Warthog ;]
I've tried this myself and I agree 100%. If you use both in combo, its a big advantage than just using one. But one does not give the other. They are both very different.
Hey Derp, if you listen, what he said is that it actually DOES apply equally across all guns. The percentages are different, yes. But what this means is that the Quickdraw handle actually reduces ADS time by roughly .1s on ALL guns. ADS is SMG .22 (50% = .11s), Assault .25 (40% = .1s), LMG .48 (25% = .12s). If it reduced all ADS by 50% on all guns, it would have a drastically higher effect on LMG's (.24s) than on SMG's (.11s).
They work together because they are not the same, you dont aim faster with dexterity, it just makes the animation after sprinting shorter. so with this 2 combined you can aim faster. Because imagine quickdraw alone you still have the animation after sprinting, and dexterity alone, you have animation when you are about to aim
Remington870 MCS: Laser sight and Quickdraw Handle (No Dexterity) I use this for the High amount of damage because the laser sight puts more pellets on target, combined with aiming down the sight with the quickdraw handle. Aiming down the sights makes the Spread per Shot less than hipfiring! Which means even more pellets will hit your target! Now if you were to go prone/Ads and then shoot that makes the gun overpowered already.
I stopped using it on SMGs, never really used it on shotguns. I do use it on LMGs if I'm playing more rushing than posting up. It helps surprise in the gun battles.
0:50 SMG's don't necessarily get the biggest benefit. The *percentage* of improvement in ADS time they get is the greatest, but this is a percentage of a number that is smaller for SMG's to begin with.
Driftor when swapping combat knife with weapon on ground you DON'T need to change to knife. Just pick it up it auto swaps the knife and when you swap again you'll have your other weapon
I actually use dexterity for the faster mantle speed as well as the faster sprint recovery. Being able to climb in some campers window faster is really useful for when they aren't expecting it. Without it you climb so slowly that they will have plenty of time to get over the surprise and blast you while you're defenceless.
Dexterity does have a faster animation time compared to without. Maybe we aren't talking about the same animation but with dexterity u pull your gun up way faster. Not aim down sights but from sprint to standing still.
Cuz when people shotgun they don't ADS for 2 whole seconds and shoot. they just ADS for 0.20 seconds and shoot (as if they were "quickscoping") when you quickscope with the shotgun the pellets are everywhere, but when you ADS for a longer time then shoot the pellets are tighter, and they don't spread as much, so laser sight helps. he uses the same attachments i do for Rimmington except I put long barrel with it too and dexterity.
I found it interesting that you did not comment on the fact that 25% reduction on a longer ADS time can give a better reduction "timewise" than 40% on a faster ADS weapon.
My best class is M27 with Suppresser, QuickDraw, and Fast Mag Perks: Ghost, Lightweight, Toughness, and Dexterity I like to be quick around the map with a laser beam assault rifle. I'll use the vector with the exact same setup but only on nuke town and hijacked.
Animation is not the same. It is CLEARLY faster w/ dexterity. Because it is Drift0r that say it, my first thought is that it was changed in a patch. Btw, why dont people read ingame descriptions? The description says EXACTLY what it does. Dont make up anything you THINK it does based on looks of the attachment or its name in some cases.
sorry for the late response, but the treyarch engine is by no means older, they both have upgraded them at similar rates, and in regards to the graphics, the engine has little to do with the texture quality or texture filtering, of which both IW and Treyarch games are good in (although in my opinion MW3 was a bit of a black sheep in terms of graphics not being as good as MW2 or black ops but that's just preference) Also, have you ever played MW2? noob tubes and quickscopers dominate the game
I usually go Hardline, Cold Blooded, dexterity. Usually with SMGs I run Fast mag Reflex and Quickdraw. Assault Rifles I use Fast Mag Reflex and Stock......I like stock because it makes you strafe to different targets faster
You're giving so much information, could't you do a summary at the end of each video? That would be great! THX for the amazing videos and all the information. Helped me a lot! Greetings from Germany!
Not one of these weapons are weak, they are extremily OP if used the right way. I would recommend weapons like the M8A1 or the MTAR, maybe also the Scorpion. But despite of the choice of weapons, you are right. Excuse grammar and spelling mistakes, English is not my native language.

Actually I use dexterity for the mangling and ladders. I like to sneak up on people and there are usually a few different entrances to buildings to get campers. Recover from sprint doesn't help me much because of lag comp.
the damage on snipers is the same wether you scope in or not, and the dsr will kill your target unless you clip them in the leg (assuming you don't have a supressor on it.)
I know that you're not an exclusive or maybe not a playstation user, but I would like to see you reviewing the new ps4 console to clear what the specs mean to people who aren't really into the technical things. Thanks for your efforts.
i tend not to use equipment or secondary weapons, using the greeds, i have Ghost, lightweight, cold blooded, dead silence and engineer or extreme conditioning depending on the primary weapon.
im assuming that was a reply to me, and the point im making is that those are two contradicting attachments, one for ADS and one for not ADS... which I have no problem with if you are doing both pretty evenly... which omst people don't, with a shotty most people hip fire. so why not take off the laser and put long barrel on like you said, and therefore you get more of a benefit from taking of an attachment you don't use much
One thing I'd like to see is Fast hands in depth, as I'm curious as to the difference in which you can recover from using equipment and Meleeing people
yes it can be useful on the ksg. but if you stick a laser on and pop shot it then you shouldn't need quickdraw. i find quickdraw to be a wasted perk on shotguns because i always use laser and long barrel. but each to their own
Dude watch the KSG in-depth episode. He says that the KSG fires a single SLUG, which is more like a bullet than a shotshell. He also (ironically) recommends using quickdraw with it.
We thought the best days of Call of Duty were still to come, back then. That future titles would blow Black Ops 2 out of the water. We didn't realize we were making memories, playing BO2. We just knew we were having fun.
good idea but that might be taking it a little too far. it certainly would increase your aim it could also handicap you for certain situations. like if someone were to dropshot you, you would be trained to aim higher and not expect the sudden drop of your target. just a thought
It get's more hitmarkers when noscoping because the bullet can go anywhere and easely hit people in the legs, while you have a very low chance of doing so whiel you aim.
well he's saying that so you can learn how to handle being outnumbered in situations and avoid death. also to improve aim greatly so that you increase your accuracy and minimize your missed shots
People do not get UAVs as easily I mean. The guy before me was saying that ghost doesn't do much of anything in general. I was just saying that in HC it does less than it does in C.
Quite the contrary. Having the radar on is essential for Hardcore. They'd actually appear more often because it's so easy to kill someone. Plus, if they have their radar on, you're guaranteed to be spotted unless you're running Ghost.
Always use QuickDraw and dexterity with shotguns because when you aim down sight it's sooooo accurate and it takes so little time with these equipped if you don't ads you are wasting a shot often
Hey Driftor, digging your analysis videos. Question, what are the Shotgun stats? I noticed you only had AR, SMG and LMG stats. And after watching this, im gonna dith QD on my SMGs, but, i love popshotting with my Remington (esp with the tighter spread it offers) so yeah. Was just wondering.
for me it feels like shotguns with dexterity have no sprint recovery time, this is because if you pull the trigger while sprinting with a shotgun it will fire instantly
Driftor I just uploaded a 229-7 domination gameplay and I was really hoping this would be my big break. Ive been on youtube for about 6 months and Im hoping this video will finally get me out there a bit! Is there any way I could send it in for gameplay for you to commentate over or something? It would be awesome if I could! THUMBS UP SO HE SEES :D
Bad Drift0r! There is a major visible animation difference between dexterity and no dexterity. Try running then tapping the right trigger to stop running. Dexterity greatly improves the speed at which the gun moves from running position to hip position.
It's pretty much the same time reduction of all weapons(something like .12 seconds) If it was a flat percentage on all weapons it would either be too good on the LMGs or too weak on the SMGs.
I found that dexterity doesn't change my ads that much. That is because I play against master leaguers and if your sprinting at them your fked anyway. I do use quick draw and laser sight because it tightens up my hit box and lessens the time to get on full ads. I am most accurate at full ads so the result is that more of my shots hit in less time allowing me to win virtually all of my public one vs one matches.
Quick draw makes the most sense on lmgs because it makes it possible use them more like ARs. Lsat + quickdraw+acog=one hell of an effective killing machine
yeah, they made the 'feel' and look of the guns to make it seem better to use. recoil is also a part of this, but since they design these games, they know how to make a gun seem good when its really just average. the vector is actually pretty weak.
like I said before: even if you don't hip fire the laser is amazing, think about it this way - people "quick scope" with the rimm shotgun, so the pellets aren't as tight as they are when they ADS and wait 2 seconds and then shoot, because that's slow. No one would ADS, wait for 2 seconds+ and then shoot, they'd be dead, they just ads quick and shoot right away, so the pellets aren't accurate as they SHOULD be, so laser helps.
I always use Quickdraw with Dexterity. Speed is everything especially when it comes to getting your sights on target.
I use dexterity and QuickDraw on all of my classes. I rush so if I am running and see someone in front of me, I can almost immediately aim and spray them down. I don't even know how people rush without dexterity
Lol dude did u not hear him he said dexterity and quick draw dont stack , its pointless
Jesse Wright trust me...I use extreme conditioning which is something I cant just take away I need thatlonger duration I want to get over to my enemy side and just freaking spawn trap them like crazy
+ERiK RiOS Uhhhhhh, he said they do stack. 5:30-5:50
+ERiK RiOS he didn't say that.listen carefully.
QD and Dex with the KSG and Remington is amazing, because they're pump action that greatly benefit from ADS and closing the gap
Drift u deserve the best. You really work hard on your in depth videos!
Your videos are incredible. Not only is this an insane amount of information in a very short amount of time, you present it in a way that makes it entertaining! Amazeballs.
I use both because it feels weird when I use only one of them and I don't know why:)
Thank you for this episode Drif0r i really wanted an episode on dexterity as it is a perk i use basically religiously and the quickdraw added in just made this video better.
I use dexterity for the mantle and ladder speed
Yea me too XD
Hah yeah me too.
Thank you for all the help you've given the community Driftor. You've completely changed the way I pick and chose weapons and/or attachments! I am greatly appreciative to the knowledge I've learntand I look forward to learning more!
Use both and you're unstoppable
ikr
Great vid. This series is one of my favorite for this game. Thanks for your efforts, Drift0r.
Guys if I use an RPG for most of the time and don't kill myself very often am I using a cheap gun or using a gun that I'm good with??
Using a gun you're good with.
Hey Drift0r, im the one who first asked you to do a quick draw vs dexterity video and i just wanna say thanks! seeing this video come up only a week after asking you is awesome , it really shows you care about what we say!!! great job

I love driftors videos they really help me get better at this game

Drif0r makes the smartest video game commentary on RUclips.
quickdraw replace the grip near the trigger, which you hold with your right hand.

So basically, quickdraw: Right hand
Fore grip: left hand
I always forget to like your video when I first watch it and have to come back and remember to show support... Oh well, thanks for the info Driftor! Really enjoy your videos
Driftor when you talk about the Balista Sniper talk about the Iron Sights attactment. Because surely it does more than just remove the scope.
I always look out for your videos Drift. Keep it up man!

Drift or you rule, I used to watch tmartn for Bo and MW3 but you are just far better and tonnes more in depth.
I love both of these perks,I use them just about all the time, together!
I actually like the perk for the climbing speed. It helps in flanking and keeps you from being out in the open for a long time
i believe the fore-grip is positioned in the front of the gun and the quick draw handle should be a part of the handle (belly of the gun)
No one does this series better than you
0:50 SMG's don't necessarily get the biggest benefit. The *percentage* of improvement in ADS time they get is the greatest, but this is a percentage of a number that is smaller for SMG's to begin with.
Driftor when swapping combat knife with weapon on ground you DON'T need to change to knife. Just pick it up it auto swaps the knife and when you swap again you'll have your other weapon

sorry for the late response, but the treyarch engine is by no means older, they both have upgraded them at similar rates, and in regards to the graphics, the engine has little to do with the texture quality or texture filtering, of which both IW and Treyarch games are good in (although in my opinion MW3 was a bit of a black sheep in terms of graphics not being as good as MW2 or black ops but that's just preference) Also, have you ever played MW2? noob tubes and quickscopers dominate the game

Awesome video, as always Drift0r 😃
Not one of these weapons are weak, they are extremily OP if used the right way.
I would recommend weapons like the M8A1 or the MTAR, maybe also the Scorpion. But despite of the choice of weapons, you are right.
Excuse grammar and spelling mistakes, English is not my native language.
Very clear and in-depth. Great video!
in all COD games i can remember its actually hipfiring.

I know that you're not an exclusive or maybe not a playstation user, but I would like to see you reviewing the new ps4 console to clear what the specs mean to people who aren't really into the technical things. Thanks for your efforts.
Overflow and Meltdown are big. Turbine is huge. Lots of cover spots make them seem small.
Thanks for explaining. I was under the impression it was similar to the fore grip and would be placed on the front of the weapon
i tend not to use equipment or secondary weapons, using the greeds, i have Ghost, lightweight, cold blooded, dead silence and engineer or extreme conditioning depending on the primary weapon.
actually, dexterity also affects knifing. it doesn't speed up the knife, but the time it takes to put you gun back faster after your "lung"
im assuming that was a reply to me, and the point im making is that those are two contradicting attachments, one for ADS and one for not ADS... which I have no problem with if you are doing both pretty evenly... which omst people don't, with a shotty most people hip fire. so why not take off the laser and put long barrel on like you said, and therefore you get more of a benefit from taking of an attachment you don't use much

Awareness is great on a headset if you have the audio preset set to "Supercrunch". It's saved my bacon so many times on HC S&D.
yes it can be useful on the ksg. but if you stick a laser on and pop shot it then you shouldn't need quickdraw. i find quickdraw to be a wasted perk on shotguns because i always use laser and long barrel. but each to their own

Yes. It's mandatory for any rush-based class, hipfire or ADS.
I wish they put the 'mantle objects faster' ability on Extreme Conditioning. At least it would make the perk worth using on the smaller maps.
for me it feels like shotguns with dexterity have no sprint recovery time, this is because if you pull the trigger while sprinting with a shotgun it will fire instantly
He was referring to Quickdraw in that it doesn't improve Shotguns and LMG's enough, not Dexterity, which is a must for any shotgun class.
sprint recovery is when your running then stop it takes a bit befor you can shoot, dex makes u faster so u can run then shoot much faster afterward
I kinda wish the stats for shotguns were in there, too. I feel much deadlier when I use the quickdraw on the KSG.
i love ur videos! i love home much info u put in each video
So true:
Dexterity, Toughness, Flak Jacket, Cold Blooded (I feel like these are the strongest perks to have)
Driftor I just uploaded a 229-7 domination gameplay and I was really hoping this would be my big break.
I am most accurate at full ads so the result is that more of my shots hit in less time allowing me to win virtually all of my public one vs one matches.
love watching your videos,much appreciated
It's because commonly when you quickscope you hit their chest, and when you no-scope it just fires in any direction it wants.
I use quicker and dexterity together all the time. Really good.
