Frank Lorber | "Aus dem Zentrallabor" hr3 Clubnight (14.09.1996) (Techno/Trance Classics)

Frank was born in 1975 in Gießen, Germany, but you could say he's Frankfurt-bred and definitely has been an integral part of the Frankfurt Techno scene. At the tender age of 16 he discovered his passion for electronic music and promised his mother he would start an apprenticeship if only she bought him two record players and a mixer. However, this apprenticeship became a thing of the past when he started to dedicate himself entirely to music...
He first gained experience in Gießen's in-club "Gonzo" but was soon drawn to Frankfurt and in 1992 obtained a residency in the infamous "Omen", where he played the saturday nights with DJ Dag. In 1993 he had his first date abroad and after that, he moved steadily to the top. Since then, his name has been among the line-ups of big festivals like I Love Techno, Mysteryland, Love Familiy Park or Sonne Mond Sterne, and he's a well known character in the international DJ scene.
Frank has also been quite active as a producer: over the years he has worked with artists like Pascal Feos, Anthony Rother, Johannes Heil, Jörg Henze and Toni Rios, turning out a number of tracks and his solo album "Jailhouse Rocker" (Cocoon). With friend and partner Toni Rios he founded the label Attention in 1997 and in 2003 his own label Nummer Schallplatten. Frank is quite an old-timer with Cocoon: he's been in the roster since the very beginning.

Bei mir kommt noch Kiwi aus Pforzheim mit dazu. Wurde leider bei ersten "Clubsterben" zugemacht. Selbst eine Demo hat nix gebracht. Ps. Pascal Feos hat bei der Demo aufgelegt🔊💥

Hehehe, ja stimmt im Nachhibein, aber wenn nur einer eins gehabt hätte, wären warscheinlich alle anderen mit Quix, Scall, kompaktkameras und mini DV recordern (die ja sehr vereinzelt auch ma dabej waren) höchst neidisch gewesen...
