About me: Hi! my name is Shivani and I am a second year student at UBC, studying International Economics! The campus at UBC is absolutely gorgeous and I try to explore Vancouver and surrounding BC as much as possible. Besides being a UBC student, I love to read, am an avid TV binger and am doing my best to focus on my journey of self discovery and wellness. Chai Recipe:
1. Put a pot of boiling water on the stove
2. Grate one coin sized piece of ginger and add it to the water
3. Add a palm sized amount of ground cardamom seeds to the water
4. Add a stick of cinnamon and a few cloves
5. Let the spices boil until the water is dark brown
6. Add your choice of black tea bags and boil. Stir occasionally
7. Add sugar at desired sweetness level and bring to boil again.
8. Add milk until light creamy colour and watch the pot until it boils. Once it boils it will foam rapidly and emulsify so don't take your eye off the stove!!!
9. Pour over a sieve with a ladle into a cup and enjoy!!!
