essence is so notorious for terrible shade ranges, im white with a cool pink undertone and everything (base-wise) i have tried from them is just a new shade of orange. I cant imagine what its like for darker complexioned people because essence and sm other brands dont go beyond 6 tan/beige shades.
catrice is the same, i'm very fair skinned with a neutral undertone and i can't get a proper shade match cause the "neutral" shades that are available in store are too dark for me and not even neutral in the first place 💀
