I'm amazed at how a man's properties are always contested with his wife n children (mostly in Africa) whereas if a woman dies, not even a pin out of her belongings gets to her people. D more reason a woman is always accused of killing her husband so that she would be stripped of any right to her deceased husband's property
My father died intested(without a WILL) and he married my mother traditionally only. I was his NOK. My uncle collected the letter of administration. Howw he did it,I don't know. He took all his properties and my father's entitlement was paid to my uncle daughter (claiming the girl was me). My mother asked us not to fight for anything which we did. I shared this story now because those stuff they took,God has replaced them and has given me more. I learn each time i listen to your video. Now I know better. WILL is important and yes I will have one
Will is very important, the reason why my dad already left his own prepared a long time ago, some of our African families are very diabolical and they will fight your kids for their property, and my dad is a Muslim man but he chose to follow a different law and I thank God for that❤. Advice, be careful of the people around you, some families are your worst enemies and they just waiting for an opportunity
See ? This is why court mariage is very very important. Forget the “I don’t need to be married to be in a happy relationship”. Forget iiiiiiit. Protect yourself ! Also please, have a will. No matter how much your family loves your spouse, write the will.
Neze dear. You have said it all. Greed poverty and illiteracy causes a lot of these problems. Write a will if you can oh. Do not say i come from a good family. My father left a will which made life easy for all of us. Continue your good work my dear.
This is very educational. Writing a will is very important and isn't as complicated as many think. After doing some course years back focusing on financial abuse, my eyes was opened. I had to educate my parents about having an enduring power of attorney and writing a will. In Australia you sign it in front of Justice of peace, who are found almost everywhere. Im in my early 30s and have already appointed my EPA, and I feel relieved. No one knows ehat tomorrow brings. I don't want fight over my inheritance when I depart this world 🤣
Ayyy Barr. Neze is in court session again. Very interesting clip. The segment of the wife asking the husband to write a will had me cracked up with laughter, when why and how? Why our African Brothers get so triggered at such a request is beyond me. Do they even know the life expectancy these days that anytime you tune to social media you see and hear of incidents of hale and hearty people suddenly transitioning and wonder what on earth happened. True talk writing a will saves much heartache embarrassment and family tussles. You can always revise anytime. This clip should be watched at least twice or three times to really grasp this. Thank you Your Honor!!!!
Nezeville it depends cos Mohbad’s passing is a mysterious kpaii so if they kpaii him to inherit his assets needs to be clarified first. He was allegedly kpaii right in his bed after returning from show, that need to be clarified what kpaii him because it’s not a natural kpaii.
@@akonmargaretkalu234 There is no need for any prove, the case is in court. No one that was with him in his last 48hrs could explain the cause of his death, the wife refused to do DNA of the child that his paternity was questionable.
Explain how? Some of you act like mohbad was rich or something for his wife to kpai him, someone who just had a baby, a lifetime responsibility, why would she kpai the father of her child? Women really see trouble in Africa ( Nigeria) . Let’s be open minded.

Court marriage is a must, some new marry wives from wealthy family, professional women well established!!!! A man that cannot care for his family is an infidel
I have got to say this, apart from the news channels we have online that informs about happenings within and outside the country, your channel is the real deal. You deserve a special award for what you do. Its easy for someone to conclude on seeing the headline / topic that its just the usual gossip and busybody bloggers. This is professional, informational and educational. Every story is presented with so much flair backed with well researched information that can impact individuals, families, institutions and the nation at large positively. I just dey look and laugh when you dey do your thing. Yoruba man go say mo gbadun e bi oyinbo se n gbadun oti. I am enjoying you as Oyibo enjoys his alcohol.
My dearest Neze, when you are so done with us on all these legal stuff we do not need to go to a university to obtain our degrees in over- all-law, we sure will graduate here on your RUclips channel. In my country we do not have the traditional wedding only Post Office and Church weddings, both has the same effect on a marriage, if the husband died interstate or testate the surviving spouse comes first and so on down the line, if a man and woman are living together(without marrying) for over a period of five year as common law partners, automatically she becomes wife, that's the law, because she is carrying out the duties of a wife, and she is entitled to his property, children or no children, no family members of his has no saying in that, unless there is a Will to oppose that, but the law still will grant her something. Sending much love from south America🌷❤💖🤗
I quite like the idea of post office or church wedding having the same laws. In Nigeria majority of people go for mostly traditional and if they have the money or are very involved in religion, they would also have a church wedding in addition to the traditional wedding. However, both church and trad weddings in Nigeria are still under customary laws and not judicial laws. Only very few educated couples in Nigeria do court weddings.
Neze l love your charisma. Your ways of analyzing issues is just so explicit that even a child could understand so easily. Thank you so much for the knowledge.
Thank you barrister Neze this is a GREAT video to those who have ears. People always say tufiakwa the moment one mention LIFE INSURANCE AND A WILL!!!° but i hope we can actually see the advantages of it and do the NEEDFUL for they are very important!!°°
Very informative Attorney Neze I concur especially this modern day wahala if u don't want to work for any baboon to chop then u know what to do.To those who have 👂 👂 make them hear.
Weldone @ Barrister Neze...you did an indepth analysis on this topic, but I still want you to throw more light on this court wedding thing. I know some couples went to court to do just court wedding. Some did only traditional wedding, while others witnessed both traditional and also wedded in church. My question is..if you did a traditional wedding and as well, church wedding and in church, you were given a form to fill and signed from court, either at the end of your courtship class or during the church wedding proper, before you were been issued the certificate of marriage. Does that mean you didn't do court wedding, since you didn't appear in person at the court to sign those legal documents, but it was presented to you in a registered and recognised church where you did the church wedding, from the court to sign. Is that not also term court wedding you did by signing those legal documents in church brought to you by the court, since you didn't appear at court in person? Please throw more light on what court marriage is for better understanding...Infact, please distinguish the 3 different marriages (traditional, court and church wedding) and the benefits that comes with each based on this topic of discussion? Thank you Barrister! ❤
