    04:42 Brogue Exhaust
    Recently I installed the Brogue Exhaust onto my little cafe racer inspired TU250. Brogue makes an excellent product and when paired with the Booster Plug, it actually does make quite the difference on this little bike (in all honesty it's probably the Booster Plug more than anything).

    Nice video, good sound quality. The Brogue exhaust looks and sounds pretty sweet, I may have to get one as well.

      I actually didn't mind the stock sound. It didn't look as cool and weighed a ton though. New one sounds fine. Definitely not turning any heads haha

      @@ThomasFilbert sound is subjective.. I look at the whole package. It's like giving a small dog a shepherd's bark. I haven't messed with my tu (yet) but I did with my Interceptor 650. I was about to order a tec system and thought I had nothing to lose, so I drilled a 15mm hole front and back.. I was blown away by the improvement. A beautiful bark but not fake or annoying. I cancelled the tec, I'm sticking with stock. The only issue, they're heavy! oh well.

    Did you delete the second throttle valve?
    I really like the BT-46 tires - please comment - I will do them anyway for rain use - but I would like your opinion.
    Going over to check your channel for more intel.

      Thanks! I haven't touched anything on the engine aside from oil changes and a K&N air filter, so I have not deleted the second throttle valve. As for the tires, I've had a very good experience with them in both dry and wet. I'm not doing anything other than around town riding and some very minimal highway. I recommend them

    I was wondering if you still have this bike? Looking to get into biking (later in life rider) and now decided the tu250x is the one. The only question I have is, I noted you got a booster plug. Excuse my ignorance but as some who has no idea about any of this, does one need a booster plug everytime one gets a new exhaust? I.e a booster plug to match the exhaust they plan on using and if so, is it supplied from the exhaust manufacturer? I’m guessing it has something to do with back pressure? It’s just that when I’ve watched other vids where folks change exhausts I haven’t seen many change booster plugs so just not sure if they’ve done it off camera, have one already installed or not bothered.
    Thanks, ps yeah those F1 cars are not just loud but one can feel the vibrations from the sound waves way before the car reaches you…you should hear the cars from the 1980s going at full chat …it’s similar to the feeling one gets from a Ford GT40 screaming past or a Spitfire / Mustang flying by ….you feel the rumble in your chest as they draw near lol

    • @ThomasFilbert
      @ThomasFilbert  11 месяцев назад +1

      I do still have it, although I am selling it to upgrade! I don't think it's a requirement, it's just very helpful in general with this bike even without swapping the exhaust to help with the jerkiness of fuel injection at low speeds. Technically though, anytime you modify something on a car or bike, should get a tune. Typically the computer takes care of most minor changes though.
      I definitely want to see some of the classic F1 cars at some point!

    where did you get the vintage Suzuki decals? I love them

    • @ThomasFilbert
      @ThomasFilbert  Год назад +1

      Thanks! The ones on the tank I found on eBay. To match those, the ones on the side I looked at the old T20 and re-drew the more script style Suzuki logo in Adobe Illustrator and had them made (since I couldn't find any at the time).

    2nd post - not much more on the TUX on you channel- so my questions remain valid with an additional one about fuel - 10% Alc. or 100% real petrol gas?
    Any stalling issues?
    Thinking about adding a kick starter?

    • @ThomasFilbert
      @ThomasFilbert  8 месяцев назад

      Around here it's impossible to find anything other than gas with 10% ethanol. I haven't noticed any issues though.
      I did consider adding a kick starter at one point, but now I'm trying to sell it so I don't want to do more to it. Want to save some fun for the next owner!

    • @ThomasFilbert
      @ThomasFilbert  Год назад

      I took them off, sanded them down, then just primed them, painted them, and some matte clear coat on top before reinstalling them. Super easy mod. I wanted to keep that "cafe racer" line and felt the covers were distracting until they were black.

    Why would you put a loud exhaust on this bike? Sounds like a lawnmower. Lol well it basically is a lawnmower engine I guess

    • @ThomasFilbert
      @ThomasFilbert  2 года назад

      It's really only marginally louder than the stock exhaust. It is considerably lighter though and paired with the booster plug, there is a performance increase over the stock exhaust. Although, you could argue just doing the booster plug alone would account for some performance gains. The weight saving is nice though and for a little 250 anything helps
