I've just ridden to Sa Calobre. This descent is sick! I think it was one of best moments in my cycling life. Literally, I got goosebumps watching this video and recalling how it was 5 hours ago 😳

I've done this. Did it early in the morning so as to avoid any traffic. My mate got out of the car at the top and realised that he'd forgotten his helmet and had to go down without one.. Not that it would do you much good going at those speeds.
It's a dead end at the bottom, so as much of a buzz as the descent is, it's at the back of your mind that you've got to cycle back up it! Which is also a great experience if you have the legs.
Truly, one of cycling's greatest roads.

Valberg down through the gorge along the D28 to the River Var in South-East France. As spectacular and exhilarating downhill as you'd want. Not silly steep, not ultra fast but relaxed high speeds on lovely smooth roads for about 12 miles. If you ever get the chance, do it, truly stunning!
