    Some songs grow, not hit you on first listen. The more I've listened to this the more I'm loving it. Electric Fields will smash the performance. They are great live performers, however the staging will be crucial for it to cut through with some voters. GO AUSTRALIA! ❤💛🖤

    I feel like I am one of the only people who really likes this. I really like the lyrics and their message, the song is deep and is mostly about human nature (an interesting topic for an ESC song), it is catchy, I really love the 80s vibe which makes it captivating and unique for Eurovision this year, the production is incredible even if it is restrained, I love that it is so ethnic and Aboriginal (something we have never done before), I love the digeridoo in the lush and beautiful intro, even though it doesn’t have as much punch as 2000 and Whatever it is still really beautiful and restrained but kinda punchy without it trying to be, the melody is amazing, the video is weird but I get why it is being done for budget saving for staging, I love her voice and yeah it is really good. It does lack punch but so do love its soulful vibe and it isn’t my fave entry from us but I am really satisfied with what we have this year. This will be incredible live and will probably grow on the fandom over time with an incredible performance that they will do as SBS knows how to stage and they will serve for sure and the song has a captivating vibe to it that could be staged really well. So excited for this song and it could qualify but barely. It won’t win but it’ll do mid-table in the final because it stands out ot the televoter due to it being restrained which is a vibe this year doesn’t have much of which will make it stand out to a televoter. This is an 8/10 for me and it could easily have a Gustaph effect and do super well in the end.

    Im not sure it will stand out enough for televoters. The Live performance will elevate it a lot because we are very much a Live Music country. Will it stand out enough even then to qualify? I just dont know.

      Yeah this is one of those times where I don't think the song alone will carry us to the Final, despite the song being a bit of a banger. Whoever has done our staging in the past hasn't let us down yet (2021 had other issues so I don't count that)

      I think that it will really stand out live on the big stage. it has that cathartic feeling and I do believe it will resonate with televoters. The song has the potential, it's engaging, has a catchy hook and sets itself apart from other contestants. with the right staging i think they could play into that "cosmic" vibe of the lyrics and really make it stand out. i reckon that in the general public there is a large portion of people that will appreciate what they're offering. but i guess we will see.

    I like the song but I think it can be reworked into something PHENOMENAL! A punchier, bouncier beat and really emphasising the didgeridoo would be amazing.
    Remember Pet Shop Boys 'Go West' Mings Gone West 1st & 2nd Movement (that is the name of the remix)? The second half of that nine minute track had so many nature sounds in it. Imagine if this song also featured sounds native only to the Australian outback and bush! This has the potential to be absolutely unique and win an entire fan base across Europe and the world. But it needs some thoughtful re-production!

      I agree. I'd love the didgeridoo to go harder and even add some clapsticks. Could probably even get away with a gum leaf haha.

    Sorry, but this is like radio background music... Nothing memorable or very interesting, just generic & bland. But the good thing is it just makes semi 1 easier for everyone else ;) By the way, talking about that, it's puzzling that there's been no news whatsoever from Azerbaijan yet, are they going to withdraw or what, does anyone know...? As the very last songs are coming out now, but nothing about them. I wonder!

      Azerbaijan is doing their internal selection and there's two artists left - one of them being Aisel who represented the country in 2018.

    Imagine taking someone's art, their labour of love, and after listening to it for less than three minutes, reducing it to “it’s a bit meh”. Such insight, such literacy, such appreciation 🙄

      First of all, this video is cut, obviously he reacted to the entry in full. Second of all, you’re watching a eurovision reaction video for god’s sake, are we supposed to analyze every single musical nyance and word in the song after hearing it for the first time?
      And Jude literally gave comments throughout the video, not just ”its a bit meh.”
      And also, free speech, if someone think its ”meh”, so be it.

    Who knows what will happen. Everyone said the same with Kate in 2019, maybe even worse. But she won that semi. I know it was a weak semi, but we could pull through.

    • @florenna
      @florenna 7 месяцев назад +1

      Kate in 2019 was probably the best Australian entry ever, IMO anyway! So no idea why anyone'd say that she wouldn't have Q'ed... It was a marvellous entry, but this one is just so very meh & generic.
