Vikings fan here. Reason Dallas turner isn’t having a break out rookie season is we brought him in real slow. He’s young, no point in rushing when there is so much depth at the position. He’s just been soaking it in and learning behind Gink and Greenard. Even Patrick jones. insane depth.
Patrick Jones and Turner are going to be beast next year. Jones has been a beast but always been a rotation player. Our defense has very good depth and the rookies get to learn so much from veterans. Metellus is a hybrid version or Smith and it's awesome watching everyone develop.
Keep hope alive!🙏 However it's something about Detroit to me just seems like a movie team, I've been saying it all last season about that team ...this is part 2 of the movie and we ALL know how it ends in those movies... The Vikings are just the team that's a part of the movie.. like the villain team.. it just seems that way.. the Lions making it to Superbowl would honestly make sense if ya think about it.. What's going on with the Vikings seems more like a dream,.. like " OMG I can't believe this is happening happening!.." so if the Viks don't win, a lot of Vikings fans will say "well this is still the awesome season but we really wasn't expected to get EVEN REMOTELY THIS FAR"..right??.. With Detroit, it's been the standard since the beginning of the season.. if they don't win it then it would be more of a disappointment compared to standards of THE overall goal.. it's the natural form of the flow of expectations.. Honestly I feel everyone somewhat knows this but it's ignored through multiple media platforms as the season progressed.. but if the Lions win it no one is super shocked but somewhat shocked by all the injuries they have.. but that Lions team has done nothing but answer the bell and answer all of the narratives given to them which makes them scary than any other team imo.. the Vikings are definitely a worthy challenger but it's just something about the Lions that puts them above everyone else
I mean kinda, Geno was still injured and wasn’t 100 percent, but overall you guys deserved to win, ggs. Our o line really sold the game with all the penalties
I'm tired of other people acting like our team isn't good. Most games are close. 24-27 against another good team isn't the shit people think it is. I'm not saying we're guaranteed to get to the Superbowl but I'd like it if some more people would acknowledge that we CAN. Love you man, you may be a GB fan but you know what's up! P.S: in one of your vikings videos, I had left a comment on it, and in your next one I think you directly referenced me! Was that me? Or was it someone else who first made you think "well actually yeah the vikings COULD do it"
i was sadly working during this entire game but from what i saw later was amazing. this year feels special and i hope we can do something with the obvious talent we have. we just need to keep doing what we are doing and we can win any game genuinely
I became a fan Randy Moss Rookie year in 5th grade. If Minnesota wins the Super Bowl with so many ESPN news anchors and Richard Sherman. Thinking they will win. Then the world is a stage and sports are rigged. Coming from a genuine Vikings fan. I think the Lions, Ravens, KC are all more solid over all. Steelers Green Bay on same level. We the Vikings won 3-4 games by a hair we should have lost. Like AZ. And i think we should have beat Detroit but they are more consistent than us
people say the vikings haven’t played any contenders, but the reason they say that is because after certain contenders lose to the vikings they stop getting called contenders lol. so there’s basically no possible way people will admit the vikings have dominated some good teams. but then these are the same people who called the saints contenders after week 2
As a decades long Vikings fan, I see the flaws in Darnold. He still gets happy feet at times and is off target, usually throwing behind receivers instead of leading them. He's done good for us this year, but I hope they don't sign him to a long term contract. Let him blow up someone else's salary cap, we have JJ to develop and potentially Daniel Jones as his competition next year!
Not bad for a rebuild year when the sharks had em winning 6 games. Kwesi pulled off the best offseason possibly in NFL history. Gm and Coach of the year EZ
I think in 2022 we were obvious frauds. 13 wins with a negative point differential was unheard of. Not to mention we got MANY lucky breaks. Anyone with eyes knew that team was fraudulent. This year the Vikings are for real, one of the top run defenses, solid pass rush, dynamic offense, great coaching staff. Objectively a great team that could make a run.
Vikings have a lot of haters. And so does Darnold. Now that the Vikings and Darnold have joined forces, the hate is out of control. I’ve never seen a more disrespected 13-2 team in my life.
Even if the Vikings get the 1 seed and win the Super Bowl, the haters will still say we're frauds, that we didn't deserve it, and that we're the worst Super Bowl winners in history. I'm sure there will also be wild claims that the refs handed us the win, even though historically the refs far more frequently make bad calls that favor other teams instead of us. I think that fans always want certain teams to be reliable trash teams to make their own teams look better, and I believe the Vikings fall in that category for a lot of people. Now that they're defying all expectations, the narrative is broken, and people are angry. It's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to change people's minds about things like this. People just hate the Vikings for no good reason, and will not be swayed no matter how good they play or how many NFL records they break.
The Vikings are great this year, but they have been here before and until they get past the second round of the playoffs, I'm not gonna hold my breath on them making it to the to the super bowl. Although I really think they could make it. The problem is the end of the year, they always get a little sloppy around this time of year. And to be honest penalty's killed the Seahawks this game, they make a few less mistakes and they very well could of won. Maybe im being a little unrealistic, but they gotta clean up the end of the year and finish strong. I've seen this team get this close before so many times over the years I've been Vikings fan its hard to get my hopes up. But you bet your ass im rootin for those guys to bring the Lombardi back to Minnesota

@TurboFinn21 that’s a stupid assumption, that’s just football. If we start thinking that it becomes a rabbit hole where you could say the bears and lions are evenly matched because they both beat the rams by 6. It’s just a stupid way to look at it
@TurboFinn21 comparing like that never works especially considering that the seahawks lost geno smith mid game that game, and had to rely on their back up. If the vikings had taken out geno smith instead of the packers, the score would have also been a blowout.
As a Vikings fan I'm gonna say this. It's been a fun season, the packers, we've already beaten, beat you once we can beat you again. I do think the packers take the win next, but if not, the lions better hope they don't slip, we lost by 2 points last time and that was with their team intact. The bills almost lost to the patriots today, ain't no one freaking out, KC has been in 1 score games all year. Bottom line is this for the Vikings, until you Win that Lombardi, it's always gonna be the same song and dance. Don't know if it's this year but our window is wide open.
Idk I just don't think Lions fans are worried like that about the Vikings... And honestly I can't put my finger on it but it's just something about the Vikings that really doesn't scare me like that.. I've always felt that way and even though it's competitive and the Vikings are good it's never been one of those things that is talked about in the Detroit area.. like I never see Detroit fans have segments about it like you think most teams would.. play Elvis brought up for the first time probably since we faced the Vikings.. and on a local channel they had asked the question to the chat, "are you worried about the Vikings?" I think people who REALLY know ball understand this and just try not to highlight it..

Plus it's Brian Flores he has a very complicated defensive scheme so for a rookie it's gonna take some time to get used to
Another factor is Dallas Turner is fresh and he's breaking out at the best time, we're going to need that for the playoffs!
Patrick Jones and Turner are going to be beast next year. Jones has been a beast but always been a rotation player. Our defense has very good depth and the rookies get to learn so much from veterans. Metellus is a hybrid version or Smith and it's awesome watching everyone develop.

Lets talk about the thing no one is talking about. Are they giving dance classes to the defense? The turnover celebrations are perfect.

its not a rebuild year ffs that was 2022-2023 this is a retool
It's insane!
Believe it when I see it & if we get to the big show they won’t play the game that got them there
Dallas Turner's pff ratings over the last 6 games are top 10 in the NFL. Not rookies, top Dawgs. Letting him develop into something great.
There were some drops by the offense as well. Could have had a better game.

Lions vs Vikings in NFC championship at Ford Field. Lions wins and plays the Bills rematch in the Super Bowl
Super bowl rematch? Where's that coming from?
@ the Lions lost to the Bills last weekend so it will be a rematch if both teams make a Superbowl
@trowwzers5057 a rematch of a regular season game. That will be huge.
I see what you did there. You prefer the Bills' chances against the Lions in the SB instead of against the Vikings, which makes sense. SKOL
