- In this, tutorial we are going to make a IOT Home Security system where we will be able to get the notification on our phone every time the gate is opened. Here, we are using NodeMCU with Blynk App(. The sensor which we are using is a Magnetic Door Switch and is readily available at any electronic shop. It is basically a reel switch that gets ON when subjected to a magnet nearby. It is very cheap and can be made easily, using some basic components.

Indeed a good project. However I think there is a better way to execute the code by using deep sleep method. It will consume way less power than the code of you and it will not require to wait for a specified time delay. What is your thought? Can you make another video with the suggestion?

Hey alok can i connect a acclerometer if yes then a acclerometer consists of xyz axes output data pins right??
Then after connecting the gnd and vcc of the sensor to nodemcu. Then i can connect x axis pinout to d1 pin of mcu then where will i connect the y and z axis.but then i just looked into code i saw d1 pin is for output.can i declare 2 pins for the rest y and z axes in thr code if yes how pls pls reply

Yes! Absolutely infact you can even log the entries of how many times each door was opened using IFTTT

Only step that could be added in between is - After opening Arduino IDE, go to Sketch -> Include Library -> Manage Libraries -> Search Blynk -> Click on the search result -> "Blynk By Volodymyr Shymanskyy" -> Click Install. This will install the Blynk library and will be able to include the "BlynkSimpleEsp8266.h".

What happens when you close the door or keep the door open. Will you get the same notification after 15 sec if the door is kept open?
Yes, but only if the door has closed..inbetween.
You can easily play with the code..to make any possibilty that you wish.

I'm a novice, well, I really have no clue on how to build what I want. Was wondering if you could give me some advice or even help me build this little project, if possible. I'd be more than happy to pay you for your time. I'm looking to build a very small or very slim wireless/ wifi window sensor. The smallest possible that's activated by a very small magnet. I need the activation to send a signal straight to my cell phone through my home router (without having to manipulate the settings on my router). I can download "homeassistant" or "mylife" or run a small simple phone app. The intent here is not to adjust any setting on my router. I'd like to get at least 75 - 150ft signal to my router. I have a 3d printer and can make a housing for the battery and board...just wondering if this is possible? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Is it necessary that we use same wifi networks for our mobile, which we are using for our node mcu or we can use our mobile data and a wifi for node mcu .
So that we can access node mcu anywhere from the world through our mobile data.
