This person played one too many games where the ladder-climbing speeds are painfully slow and they were like, "FUCK THIS SHIT, *LEAP UP THE LADDERS LIKE A FUCKING GRASSHOPPER*"
The reason the apartment looks the same in this game and the ghost sheet game is because they're old Soviet Bloc apartments! Those all had similar if not identical layouts and these games capture the sort of grimy, old feel of them really well
Many people in Hungary live in these blocs built in the Societ times. Honestly as depressing as they can look and feel, they were amazing as kids. You on the playground and your mom shouting from the 3rd floor to come back home. An old lady telling you to be quiet outside her window. Being sent to one of those TINY grocery stores. Going through the creepy, tiny basement "cells" to bring your bike out.
@@boredsoul3490 I think most of the creepiness comes from how they haven’t been maintained. If you look at old image or ones that have been renovated they look quite homely.
@@janetmontalvo6944 no, homogenic architecture has a negative psychological impact on people. And it is intentional, as well as just practical. Of course they looked better new but they were always the source of oppressive atmosphere. Inside they have similar anti human qualities because they were meant to be as homogeneous and as cheap as possible for the working unit. You could make it homely insise of course, outside not so much. But when you see it in a game or after you've been away from home for a while of course it may feel nostalgic. That will wear off quickly if you move back. As much as the new buildings may try to downplay it in exterior, the towering buildings full of repetitive patterns will stay at least somewhat depressing to be around.
32:47 sometimes the best sound design is no sound design, I think everyone would expect an alien spacecraft to make noise as it rockets past at high speeds. Having a massive object like that blast by with only slight breeze is harrowing. This game COMPLETELY subverts expectations, and seriously blew me away. If you ever read this, amazing work Adam.
Yes exactly, and other than the fact that Alien is still unknown to us, this could be how they "sounds" for all we know. So using the "unknown" to make your own interpretation is great
@adamdubigames your game is absolutely captivating. I have never had my attention grabbed so thoroughly by ANY game ever. I was on the edge of my seat taken away by how amazing it was. Great work.

The last time games had that kind of clipping through was 20 years ago. Today only indie games would have the car just clip through the grass so this is nothing new.

The first big game I worked on, I spent 4 weeks untangling muzzle flare from a firearm's shots because we had several (required, by the gun companies that paid us) semi-automatic weapons in-game that fired at a rate that was enough to trigger seizures, especially if a player was standing near a reflective surface. I love the color they have for when you were initially following the lights. That bright magenta, almost ultraviolet color, is something unnatural & alien & so perfect. This is an amazing game so far, I am so ready for full story, worldbuilding, & lore bc it looks like there’s a lot of it to come.
with the double-person scene in the beginning, and her saying she has the same scar, I have a feeling that this "twin sister" is actually herself. like maybe the aliens took a duplicate of her when they saved her and gave her false memories or something? still curious how this story unfolds either way. I'm excited to see more from this dev!

I really love it when you tubers put warnings for flashing in the beginning and then another right before it. As someone with bad photosensitivity it's really appreciated. Jack's editors are so thoughtful.
The formation the alien beings take on looks just like a murmuration of starlings!! For those that don't know, starling birds make these really incredible otherworldly shapes in a pattern called a murmuration-- definitely worth a Google. Wouldn't at all be surprised if this was the basis for the design of that scene! Super cool
Omg you're right... I didn't even think of that, but it does look like that. That makes it even cooler and even more alien somehow, which is amazingly bizarre, considering it's invoking a very real and very familiar image from our world as we know it.
I was so confused 😭😂 I was doing some laundry while watching the video and my heart skipped a beat cause I thought there was someone behind me and it took me a minute to realize that Sean just spoke german to me
This game is amazing, Glad a big creator is show casing it. I played this a while ago and I can't wait for Episode 2. Thanks Sean, I am sure the developer will be ecstatic you are playing his game, since this is a solo unreal 5 project!
One guy making this is pretty awesome, because it has more polish than a lot of AAA games I could mention, and the attention to detail and stuff like the sound design are off the charts.
THIS??! IS FANTASTIC???!!! The layout narrative is out of this world in this game, it really feels like a place that could exist, and every little details makes the story believable. I was about to put this video in the background and work as usual but damn, this game was so good and beautiful it made me drop everything just to watch. Please please please give this guy the means to create even more freely, that was a JOURNEY omg.
Honestly it astonishes me how developers consisting of ONE person can do SO MUCH, this is literally better than over half of what AAA companies are able to do! It's inspiring
He also asked, "Who's that?" as the car sped off... There was literally only one other person around, Sean..... WTF do you mean, "Who's that?" *facepalm*
Daaaame this looks so good the visuals and the sounds are unbelievable. The fact that it's being made by one person alone is incredible that person definitely needs to be supported because just him alone this is incredible. As well as that sound that the person made for the alien forget it is just peak.
I'm a game design student and this is my exact aesthetic. This game gives me inspiration and courage to continue learning and hopefully one day i can get to this level!
The story, the visuals, the sound design, the atmosphere, this game had it all. I hope the developer doesn't feel pressured or rushed to get the next episodes out asap because he truly has a talent for telling stories through games and as long as he does what he does best, the next episodes will be just as awesome as this one.
I’m not epileptic but flashing lights definitely bother me and it’s unbearable in a dark room while I’m going to bed so thank you so much for the warnings❤️☘️

The thing at 33:15 reminds me so much of Jean Jacket from Nope. I freaking loved that movie. The concept of the alien life form was insane, I've never seen anything like that anywhere else.
I think Jack was referencing the game September 7th that he played a while back... at the beginning of the game when he found the apartment layout familiar! I remember because it had that scary elf!
Everything about this game is so interesting and /very/ unnerving, but the scout/murmuration at 33:08 gave me chills. I hope the second episode comes out soon, I NEED to know what happens.
As someone who doesn’t have photosensitive epilepsy but has had a seizure before, I genuinely appreciate it when people warn / put time stamps in. Sometimes flashing lights do induce migraines for me also so it’s really appreciated that you take it seriously for your viewers!!!
Just a little side-note, but 'NETCDF' 18:02 is a common data model and file format used in the Atmospheric and Earth sciences, for managing high-dimensional scientific data. Bit of a surprise to see it pop up in a jacksepticeye video XD
I'm feeling pretty good right now. Just started therapy, cleaned my room, got some laundry done, changed the cats litter, fed the cats outside, took trash out, got food, smoked, and now I get to sit down and watch Sean while I eat:) EDIT: I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind works, it's much appreciated
It's the little things, and everything counts. Depressed mind is a weird thing for me; too often I'd rather use every cup shaped object to drink tea from, or any utensil to eat with rather than fill my dishwasher. So yesterday I did a bit cleaning like that too, and stupid simple stuff as it was, I feel better. And I have clean tea mugs now.
This game was SO refreshing, the inventory system, the character feel, the vibe of the whole thing, not to mention the graphics and sound design! The creator has my full support in anything else they make, GIVE THEM A GOOD PRODUCTION BUDGET ASAP 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is one of the best visuals I have ever seen in my life, if not THE BEST already! , sound effects, NAILED IT, plot and storyline, NAILED IT , I mean, it's UNDERRATED
Honestly, I would probably throw everything around in that one room and accidentally block myself in as well 😂 I love it when you can find something completely outside of the game's story and then you're sitting there for several minutes fighting with the inanimate objects because you couldn't leave it alone and now it's a mess but it makes it all the more fun and an overall better experience than if you hadn't interacted with that area at all
Absolute masterpiece of an indie game. The sound especially was UNREAL, design was stunning, nerves were constantly confused. This dev needs a budget because man, this was unreal. What an amazing year for indie devs
That was amazing. I love games that are crafted this painstakingly good. The Dev so deserves more appreciation for this, honestly. Can't wait for chapter 2!
I first watched this in Evelien's channel and I immediately thought you'd like the sound effects of this game. A lot of things here remind me of Annihilation and Roadside Picnic in with its sounds, eerie beauty, and sci-fi horror/cosmic horror like with the deer.
I think the reason that Sean couldn’t kill the alien at the end was either because he was meant to fail as a cliffhanger, or he was supposed to shoot the bulge on the back of the alien. It looked like the aliens back was turned specifically for the purpose of showing where to shoot, but Sean completely missed it somehow. 😂
I, like you jack, have not stopped being like "zomg this is so COOOOOLL" the entire time i watch you play. this is amazing - like others have said, I think we need more, much more from this developer! xoxo
This is a PHENOMENAL game, I cannot wait to see what more you do. There's so much feeling in every second of this game, and I'm so glad Sean was just as excited and passionate about it too. Really incredible concepts, so many questions, leaves me thinking about it a lot and definitely wanting more -- not necessarily answers, just experiencing it! Love, a AAA dev of 20 years who is just blown away by this.
Hey Sean my name is Cael and I am 16 years old currently I just wanted to say that it has truly been an honor to watch your channel thrive and grow ever since you started and your progress in RUclips has literally blown my mind but unfortunately I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and the doctors say I might not make it but if I don't I just wanted to let you know that your positive attitude through the years and everything you do has kept me going through all the tough times so thank you and keep up the good work my friend may God bless your soul ❤❤❤
The fact that it is a solo inde game is insane to me, everything from the tone to the sound design looks phenomenal, cant wait to see what they make when their support blows up!
Wow. This shows that the dev really understands game design and storytelling. From audio and visual detail, to the environment trigger timing and physics design... very nice!
Wow. Just wow. One of the most atmospheric and beautiful indie horror games ive ever seen. That whole segment with the trees creaking as they were being sucked in was absolutely phenomenal!
This is unbelievable. I cannot believe this was made by one person, thats insane. Good on them honestly. And i really enjoy your chilled out lps, they're excellent company.
33:35 I absolutely LOVE the portrail of this alien. When people generally think "alien", they think of a physical being, but that probably isn't the case for some. Some probably are forms of some kind of energy. Something without form. We as humans cannot use OUR understanding on how life works, on other planets.
The fact the creator put "handcrafted by" instead of "created" or "produced" just shows how much love he put into this.

I was so confused 😭😂 I was doing some laundry while watching the video and my heart skipped a beat cause I thought there was someone behind me and it took me a minute to realize that Sean just spoke german to me
I wasn't prepared for the suddenly perfect german XD
i love people using random german expressions makes my language feel better to me hahaha also it sounds so adorable imo
wait, where is this again?
@@kebabit7076:19 Here ya go
This game is amazing, Glad a big creator is show casing it.
This dude just blew me away, jesus from just the audio like goddamn! The visuals and the style was just fucking amazing. This dude will go far.
I like how 19:50 he didn’t notice the aliens walking toward him 😂
Oh my god, I didn't even notice them 💀Thanks for pointing this out. This game is phenomenal!
I was looking for this comment! Same!
I noticed it immediately, I thought he did notice them but he didn’t :(
HELL I didn't even see that til now Jesus Christ. I was like Jack, too distracted by the damn floodlights
I hope the developer doesn't feel pressured or rushed to get the next episodes out asap because he truly has a talent for telling stories through games and as long as he does what he does best, the next episodes will be just as awesome as this one.
this was some fucking insane talent holy shit. Well done, developer
You just have to wonder how far indie horror games have come, they look AAA nowadays
and vice versa for how AAA games look nowadays, at this rate we'll be getting AAA shovelware and indie game of the year contenders.
True, unreal 5 is insane all these indie games looks great even if the game itself is bad it still looks amazing
I feel like there was so much more to this game that jack missed cause he was so eager to get abducted. lol
I’m not epileptic but flashing lights definitely bother me and it’s unbearable in a dark room while I’m going to bed so thank you so much for the warnings❤️☘️
flashing lights when it’s dark irritates my astigmatism and gives me a migraine so it’s appreciated when there’s a warning for it
@@xerxcey8967 that makes no sense, don't you have glasses?
@@karljuliuz bright light messes with my astigmatism. like driving at night or in the rain, people who have their high beams on, stop lights are unusually bright. and i have glasses but don’t wear them often
@@xerxcey8967 not wearing your glasses is your problem then mate. I got astigmatism as well and I wear mine all the time or use contact lenses, as I have a hard time reading stuff without them. The bright lights thing is gone too with glasses, no more headaches. Look after your eyes man.
@@karljuliuz most of the time i’m just forgetful about it💀i wear them when i remember to or when i start to get a migraine though
I would love more alien horror games, this was so cool! I feel like it's a fairly untapped genre.
Everything about this game is so interesting and /very/ unnerving, but the scout/murmuration at 33:08 gave me chills. I hope the second episode comes out soon, I NEED to know what happens.
yees great sounds there
Wait ONE PERSON created all of this!!?!? HOW!!!?!? That is insane. He needs to be discovered cause he is going places.
As someone who doesn’t have photosensitive epilepsy but has had a seizure before, I genuinely appreciate it when people warn / put time stamps in. Sometimes flashing lights do induce migraines for me also so it’s really appreciated that you take it seriously for your viewers!!!
This game's atmosphere is IMPECCABLE. Made me want to immediately rewatch Midnight Special and Arrival.
This one deserves all the love, lets support this one and help him expand the scope.
There is so much potential in this one, love it
Holy crap, this has got to be one of the coolest games I’ve seen. Right with Jack in that this ticks soooo many of the boxes, I can’t even
Just a little side-note, but 'NETCDF' 18:02 is a common data model and file format used in the Atmospheric and Earth sciences, for managing high-dimensional scientific data. Bit of a surprise to see it pop up in a jacksepticeye video XD
As far as I know you’re the first to notice that. Real satellite data. Thank you so so much as the dev of CHORSOSIS.
@@adamdubigames The attention to detail is crazy my god, you are COOKING. Hope you get to craft the game you truly want to create my man!
Sounds like a productive day! Good job rat Jesus 👍
hell yeah good for you
love you rat jesus
Nice work!!! ❤ We're proud of you!!☺️👏🏽💜
It's the little things, and everything counts.
I am so happy to see a Hungarian game getting the attention it deserves!
Coming home to a Sean update is like coming home to a warm meal and tea :) LOVE YA SEANNNNN
Not me making a cup of tea when I saw he uploaded.
@@adamdubigamesInsane work Adam, can't wait to see you grow 🫵🏽
This is one of the best visuals I have ever seen in my life, if not THE BEST already! , sound effects, NAILED IT, plot and storyline, NAILED IT , I mean, it's UNDERRATED
Adam is nothing less than a gigachad for doing this
Honestly, I would probably throw everything around in that one room and accidentally block myself in as well 😂 I love it when you can find something completely outside of the game's story and then you're sitting there for several minutes fighting with the inanimate objects because you couldn't leave it alone and now it's a mess but it makes it all the more fun and an overall better experience than if you hadn't interacted with that area at all
I knew Sean would love this game after seeing Evelien play it. It looks so good, cant wait to see how the story unfolds
I don't often click on the horror gameplay videos but something about this one made me want to check it out and I did NOT regret it
This game looks phenomenal. As Jack said, the sound, atmosphere, and storytelling. Hats off to the developer.
absolutely loved Evelien play through this and I was WAITING for you to pick it up because it feels like you'll dig the visuals a lot
The aliens appearing from behind the house/building at 20:00 was soo creepy. I dont think jack noticed them though
The sound design of this game is an absolute masterpiece... Imagine giving this guy a AAA budget and letting him go absolutely wild. Insane.
The sound design was freaking amazing! I felt uneasy throughout the whole play through!
Absolute masterpiece of an indie game. The sound especially was UNREAL, design was stunning, nerves were constantly confused. This dev needs a budget because man, this was unreal. What an amazing year for indie devs
Watched Vinny and Joel play this, honestly really incredible and promising as an entire game! This video is sure to give it some needed attention.
That was amazing. I love games that are crafted this painstakingly good. The Dev so deserves more appreciation for this, honestly. Can't wait for chapter 2!
This is incredible, but I hope the second episode is much longer. This one ended right when you were getting into it.
I am honestly not really into aliens and all, but this was so good! The setting, beautiful visuals and the sound design!! Loved it.
This is so fucking GOOD!! And that sound design! Delicious!!! I hope this guy makes more games like this!
I'm on it! thank you!
The atmosphere of this game is so good. I’m going to buy it and support this creator.
Thought this was going to be just another spook but this game looks so good, the sound was amazing! So good, can't wait to see more.
I first watched this in Evelien's channel and I immediately thought you'd like the sound effects of this game. A lot of things here remind me of Annihilation and Roadside Picnic in with its sounds, eerie beauty, and sci-fi horror/cosmic horror like with the deer.
I am blown to smithereens, what an absolute masterpiece of a video game
I love how you find a needle in the middle of a rusty, grungy basement, don't bother sterilizing it, and just put mysterious liquid inside for later.
Jack never fails to be entertaining no matter what game he plays lol
Bro 😂
Adam has easily earned a spot on my top game devs list
the beginning i interpreted the two figures as the soul leaving the body. they say most people die before they even hit the ground.
I, like you jack, have not stopped being like "zomg this is so COOOOOLL" the entire time i watch you play. this is amazing - like others have said, I think we need more, much more from this developer! xoxo
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PLAYING MY GAME!!!
@@Jockdog thank you so much
Hey Sean my name is Cael and I am 16 years old currently I just wanted to say that it has truly been an honor to watch your channel thrive and grow ever since you started and your progress in RUclips has literally blown my mind but unfortunately I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and the doctors say I might not make it but if I don't I just wanted to let you know that your positive attitude through the years and everything you do has kept me going through all the tough times so thank you and keep up the good work my friend may God bless your soul ❤❤❤
I want a 100 hour game of this 😩 Checks all the right boxes for me, I love it
The fact that it is a solo inde game is insane to me, everything from the tone to the sound design looks phenomenal, cant wait to see what they make when their support blows up!
Wow. This shows that the dev really understands game design and storytelling. From audio and visual detail, to the environment trigger timing and physics design... very nice!
This is EXTREMELY promising, I'm so excited, Episode 1 was already fantastic
WHAT, this episode was amazing jack! So dang cool to see stuff like this, hidden gems! And HOW the heck did this guy make the game look so good???
woops, meant to say *thankyou
i hope this dude makes more of these games this is a treat, huge props
Wow. Just wow. One of the most atmospheric and beautiful indie horror games ive ever seen. That whole segment with the trees creaking as they were being sucked in was absolutely phenomenal!
32:50 this part right here, subtle but so cool and creepy. even till the end its so good
10:51 I actually thought that was in the game wtf Jack was way to too smooth with that
Man I can't wait to watch the rest of this game. The visuals, along with the atmosphere, are stellar looking. What a fantastic looking game
That game had such great atmosphere and sound.
2 things that are key to a scary/suspenseful/horror game.
The fact that one guy made this in UE5 in a short amount of time is nuts
