Mike’s misery came to an end at the hands of an armored engineer with a plasma cutter when he lunged at the one, the only Issac Clarke.
I choose to see it that way. Whenever I play the games, as I am want to do every few years, I view each kill as setting an innocent soul free from the Brethren’s influence.

@@MrPikaGammerI didn’t. Call me sappy but I actually took the time to dismember every body I could find before neatly arranging their bodies so that, when the ship is eventually found, they won’t have to look for the remains, nor will remains be looking for them, so to speak.

Technically the red markers need to kill the creators of them so a convergence event can begin. In dead space 2 it says the makers must be absorbed or killed by the necromorphs or by the marker. Without killing or consuming the makers than the marker can not begin convergence. So it will continue to transmit the signal hoping a more smarter individual will survive the outbreak and create new markers. Also In dead space remake Mercer said he knew their was plenty of biomass to start a convergence but without the creator’s death then convergence will not happen. It’s a odd life cycle. You think they wouldn’t need the creator but the creator is the key component to complete a convergence event.

Well at least he was already dead before he was turned because imagine the amount of pain he'd have felt throughout the transformation process
Thankfully, you have to be completely dead for the virus to transform you into a Necromorph. If an infector were to inject you, you’d just feel like shit for a few hours, although that would most likely make you a prime target for other necromorphs who’ll do _a lot_ more than just jab you.
A suggestion? A presentation on the horror of Astartes augmentation from Warhammer 40K. 19 separate surgeries for the implantations of each Astartes organ, with no anesthesia, coupled with months upon months of psycho-indoctrination, introducing the aspirant, through the combination of drugs, psychic stimulation and technological simulation, introducing the recruit to all the horrors the galaxy can throw at him, as his body convulses in agony as it morphs to fit the Astartes archetype. To the point where only faint, distant and barely recallable memories are all that remain of the boy that the Astartes had once been.

Im vaguely familiar with Dead Space lore as I watched Jacksepticeye’s series on the remake. Very nice video! If you’re looking for some other horror game to cover, why not Iron Lung?

@@MR_ILLUSTRATED the one slight issue with trying your format with Iron Lung is that the horror comes from being trapped in a submarine and from my knowledge the only way to die is a scripted sequence where a monster eats you.
@@MR_ILLUSTRATED To summarize, it's an indie horror game where all stars and planets capable of sustaining life just disappeared one day, leaving behind the space stations, space ships, and moons in an event called the quiet rapture. One day the remnants of humanity discovered the first known life found on a celestial body since the quiet rapture, that celestial body is a moon covered in an ocean of blood. The player takes a bunch of photos in the yellow submarine as punishment for the crime of felony tomfoolery and then a goofy lookin fish comes and says hi.

also infectors are able to turn people into necromorphs that are still alive as seen in dead space 2
Take almost time opposee to the signal that take hours, not only around an cercle around Marker, and apply also to living beings

Most of people in Dead Space universe are some of the unlickiest bastards in all universes, if it's not horrid mutated creatues, it's totalitarian government, if it's not totalitarian government, it's religious fanatics, if it's not religious fanatics then it's fact that your civilisation is not that far from collapse due to resource shortage which is only prevented by planet-crakcer fleet that literally breaks planets apart in order to get them. And if not all of the above, you have moon sized lovecraftian monstrosities and the lack of any alien life in known space (I'll let you guess what happened to it)

The Necromorphs work so well because they can influence life at its most basic level; they have a backdoor into our brains simply because we evolved right next to the damn thing and it was steadily adjusting our brain chemistry all the while. On a species that has no concept of mental illness, or even a concept of an individual mind, they might struggle considerably. How do you drive a Hive Mind insane with dementia? You don’t, because you can’t.
I'm so glad you've decided to branch out into other series. Your art is too amazing to be limited by just SCP content.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been on this channel, and seeing you do dead space lore felt kind weird but right I absolutely love the new direction . if you really want to do some deep dives, with art that’ll truly give you a run for your money, you should cover, half-life and quake too, both games have EXTENSIVE Lore and body horror GALORE.

Those were some very talented illustrations
An important detail to add to the marker lore is that the black markers don't wait for intelligent life....they seed sentience into existing species. The marker influence is what allowed humanity to develop into the perfect maize for a new generation of brethren moons.
And this was just a typical monday for Mike.

So in this story our hero was just playing fortnite for days while necromorph invasion was happening on his ship. Only until he was very rudely chased away from his computer, he ran into necromoprhs who waited all this time outside his room, putting a show for him. Making sure to bring every type of creature in front of him, but to never block him or prevent him from escaping.
Boy, those horror stories sure are great entertainment.
