I will forever hold these memories and these students of mine tremendously dear in my heart! These are the PIONEERS of the famous "Leone High School Swing Choir." I am so thankful to the person that posted these videos. These students worked so hard to help make this swing choir the best of its kind even in its early years, and what it is in the present! I'm sure no one keeps track of the history of music happenings in the islands, but this style of singing where slight body movements are inserted into random parts of a song were intorduced by this very talented group of people: The LEONE HIGH SCHOOL SWING CHOIR! Samoans have ALWAYS danced gracefully to music, or while singing, but this is the first time in the history of group performance where body movements are lightly incorporated into a song while its being sung!
