    I was at this show. I kept dialing the 800 number for TicketMaster on a rotary phone, getting a busy signal until I found out the show sold out in about 30 minutes. Got scalped tickets through the newspaper classifieds for $50 each for the absolute last row im the Coliseum. Had the roof blocking my view of the big screen and a family smoking something in front of us. Axl came on over 2 hours late and we had no idea everyone was cheering during the intermission because the roadies were zooming in on women flashing. Our parents waited for a few hours across the street. I honestly have no idea how we coordinated pickup without cell phones. Still an awesome concert. The UYI albums hadn't dropped, and this was our first time hearing most of these songs.

    I swear, Axl Rose was a living DEMON back in the day. Love that he's still rocking and stable but in the early 90s, kids? Check out this force of nature. I've seen the official concert videos lots of times but a bootleg like this is an UNCUT GEM.

      Honestly, I prefer a 1000 times how it was back in the day. Every show, not only from GNR, but many other bands was a freaking battle. You would be there to be part of the show and really enjoy it. Now, well, people is so nice now and everyone wants to take a souvenir with their smartphones, Every single concert is like watching cold play and Taylor swift at the same time.

    Was this the infamous show where Skid Row had to play way longer than their allotted time because Axl wasn’t even in the building?

    • @danielpempel7746
      @danielpempel7746 9 месяцев назад +1

      I remember Skid Row doing a normal length set. We just sat around waiting for over 2 hours between sets. They work zooming the camera in on women getting them to flash. I had no idea what was happening until I saw them at Giants stadium, because I was in the last row and could see the video screen.

    I guess everyone should have seen the warning signs of Axl's declining tolerance of the Rock N Roll lifestyle, complaining of record company executives and media outlets up his ass making him do shit he doesn't want to do. Some could point to his self absorbed personality at this point or the reason for it. Non the less I miss those days and the unpredictable nature of how things were before it all became cliche. Long live GNR🤘🏼❤

    Saw this concert in Toronto, Canada at the old CNE Stadium, likely within a week or two of this show. Thank you to the poster.
    A couple of things were annoying..
    Practice zooming and panning before a concert! A baseball game would help with the basics of camera use.
    Slash is the driving force behind GnR, then and now, but your camera couldn't seem to find him.

      Cameras weren't allowed in these shows, so this would be a small hidden camera. Maybe like a palm camera and those aren't easy to use

      Are you for real? Cameras were, one, huge back then. And two, illegal. This guy who filmed this risked not even getting IN to the show had he got caught at security. Let alone filming the entire show while security roamed around keeping an eye out for things like this. Settle down and thank the guy.
