I run these tires each summer for the past four years and and love them the 1 mi an hour difference it's worth the trade-off they are ninja quiet and you get more torque
I did 3000 miles on those tires. They used to be called Kenda Sunlites. Rode the rear all the way down to the Tuffy liner until daylight could be seen through the tire with a few holes and still never got a flat. I now run heavier Shinko SR 567 slicks. Easily twice the weight of the sunlites(kraz).
The slicker profile and lower profile tires should make it quicker for acceleration since there's less resistance compared to knobby tires, but the motorcycle/scooter style tires like that one have a lot higher density and weight so may offset the gains. That model is designed as a cruiser so it's geared more towards being puncture resistance street tires. Something like the Vee Speedster would be designed more for speed and acceleration.
What about difference to the odometer reading in the comtroller? I'd imagine there's no way to correct for this in the display? Different tire size will throw off distance and speed
That was a Great review. In the Drag Racing world a Smaller tire will be quicker but will loose MPH on the big end. Also a smaller Lighter tire will help reduce Rotational mass making it able to spin quicker. 🚲🔋😉👍
I like it.. I'm sure the motors can go 40 amp controllers. Maybe rear 40 amp and keep front stock. Doesn't some guy do a controller package for the X class to pump up speed? It's plug and play but for the X Class.
You ought to do a video where you put motorcycle tires on that's what I'm trying to find I have Kendra's Tires on my rad rover that didn't last a year and a 1/2 2 of them! last flat a 16th of an inch stick punched the tire .I would rather have A 1/2 inch thick motorcycle tire then have to walk my bike home And change the tires all the time
You should of try the same height tire but instead of 4inch wide tires maybe get 2.5inch tires. Lubricating the inner tube and tires will make installation much easier.
Well done sir 👍 it might help if the derailure is in the highest gear can sometimes help when removing the rear tire...at least on a bicycle maybe not on an e-bike. Anyway nice ride.
Keep the projects coming 👍🏼 Always interesting and entertaining to see what’s swirling around up there in your noggin 😄. I especially liked the part of the video where you said ; “trying to keep the front wheel on the planet” 🤣. That’s a first !
If your thinking on juicing up the grizzly look into grin technologies phase runner. You can pair two phase runners together into one display that they carry. It's also a variable controller and can use upto a 72v battery. I'm thinking on route with my grizzly since I have a good feeling the hub motors will perform well in higher voltage battery.
Thanks for this! Been looking for a review of these tires as I’ve just bought them for my Super 73! Have you noticed the trouble of trying to fit a 20” tube in them? It folds in the tire? Surely I can’t ride it like that… it’s properly doubled up. I’m guessing yours was the same?
Ok. First off, I like the yellow between the bars on the handlebars so please keep that. It was the first thing I noticed that I liked. I like the spoke skins and the new tires. I like the yellow front fender and agree I'm not sure if you should do the back one. It might be too much yellow. I think you did a great job of customizing it overall. The bike is really cool and a beast. I assume it can't beat the Citizen Cycle though, right? Race coming?
Hi, Very interesting tutorial … thank you so much for it. Please, could you what’s the app you’re using at the 4:34 minutes ? Ohhhh also, by the way, your bike is so beautiful. 👍
What's up my friend ? so happy you're still doing the video bro. I took some box one handlebars on mine. Because those handlebars are horrendous. Keep up the good work fam💯🙏
I might get those tyres for mine. I'm rocking the Vee speedsters white wall at the moment so I'll have to wait a minute but I'm loving the Grizzly mods it's one of the best I've seen 👍🏼
I love what you did with it. I think it's worth it for minus one mph. But it's it was 2 or 3 I wouldn't do it. Lol. The most important thing is that you have fun riding it and you seem to love it!! 😊
Interesting. I see most people claiming 39/40 mph on a Grizzly. My AR Kepler goes 0-30 in 5.6s and tops out at 36 for me. I wonder if the Kepler is faster? All the comparisons I see for the Grizzly have been to other cafe racer brands like the Super 73.
Cyrusher has a Updated Ranger 2.0 , do you think you will be able to review it ! I am trying to get the New Upgraded controller and headlamp ,but the price has to be Right for a 6 months old bike !!!😊
How do U get rid of that ghost pedaling? Is there 2 controller's 1 in the front and 1 in the rear like the citizen bike ? I think it's better the way U have it now.
Hi I would also like to change my tires to the kenda craze slick tyres I can't find weight s for them , anybody know how much they weigh I don't want to be putting on a heavier tyre but I much prefer the slick tire as long as it's not too heavy thanks a lot
I tried these tires and the profile was so much lower that I had to stop peddling in turns or the peddles would hit the ground and even with liners I constantly got flats.
Are there any tires that have these featues but are also more puncture resistant? (I want the peace of mind knowing I won't ever have to deal with a flat )
🐍 Ariel Rider needs to fix the fenders on their Ebikes. Can you run the hose water across the road like you might find where there's a broken sprinkler, guy washing his car or natural rain fall in a low spot on the road❓️ Show the world the spray pattern and built-in FAIL of their design so Arda can see it and fix it. With your lower tires, maybe your wife can do the splash test for us.😉 🖖🤙
a mile an hour is hardly worth reporting. you could probably compensate for that by adding pressure to the tires and do some easy improvement of aerodynamics.
If you change the diameter of the tires on an automobile, it will make the speedometer inaccurate. I don't know how your bike is measuring speed ..... is it measuring tire rotation to display speed, or is it doing a GPS measurement and calculating speed? Your comparison here might be apples to oranges. The addition of yellow to the front fender improves that bike's appearance, you should do the same to the back fender.
They are lower-profile street tires and you tested them by going in a straight line ? You tell us that street tires "won't be as good off road" ? You tell us knobby tires are louder than street tires ? Dude...!? Go to a big empty parking lot, Chalk out some big 30-40 ft circles, evaluate the performance and feel of the bike accelerating and braking and riding in a figure eight at 10,15,20 mph. How fast can you do 10 laps on the knobbies vs 10 laps on the street tires. Maybe we could learn something that we didn't know already.
Believe me when I say this but tire liners have no need in these tires the sheer thickness and k shield is enough to prevent most things these are true high puncture prevented tires

That yellow carbon wrap on the handlebars and the front fender really sets it off!

Is it slower. Did you put the new size of the tire in the computer. That would effect the speedometer also
Wow, the Grizzley is looking sick! Love the low-profile look!
a loss of one mph on the top end is totally worth the nicer quieter tires
I like it.. I'm sure the motors can go 40 amp controllers. Maybe rear 40 amp and keep front stock. Doesn't some guy do a controller package for the X class to pump up speed? It's plug and play but for the X Class.

Great tires, I installed them (yes it took ages to get them sittin right). Problem is, nobody can hear me coming, it's like stealth mode.. lol
Keep the projects coming 👍🏼

Can you post a link for the tires please?
The kendas are great
I have those on my bike
20"x4.25"
And yes, they are super quiet.

Looks and sounds better😊
Great bike bro. All you need now are some Steeler stickers.
Very Cool Look. That lump immovable seat looks a bit questionable. Lots of different size people. Glad it fit You.
great review !! I'll take the quiet and loss of speed every time
Absolutely love what you did with that bike. That is beautiful looking

Perfect candidate for controller shunt mod. Super easy to do
You have to do the rear fender also. Your Grizzly is sharp-looking! The videos are super Informative.
I run those kenda kraze on my Zugo ebikes, need to adjust the kick stand to make shorter.
Oh man, that's a keeper!
Cool mods Citizen! Can you compare this with the new Shadow step scrambler 1000w single motor? They both look awesome
The bike really looks fantastic, I was looking at the road runner pro but still haven't made up my mind.

yes, i'm still at it :) i will check out the Box One handlebars, thanks for the tip!

oh and do your rear fender in yellow to, it looks a bit off now ok hehe

I put the trooper tires from super 73 on my grizzly. Similar to the kendas but don’t drop the wheel diameter.
Black and Yellow looks niiiiccceee

there are 2 controllers, this ebike comes with them ok :0
both controllers are under the seat ok :0
Hi I would also like to change my tires to the kenda craze slick tyres I can't find weight s for them , anybody know how much they weigh I don't want to be putting on a heavier tyre but I much prefer the slick tire as long as it's not too heavy thanks a lot
I was thinking of changing my Philodo AWD to smaller tires as it is a little tall for me. But, I don't want to lose my top speed 🤣
I tried these tires and the profile was so much lower that I had to stop peddling in turns or the peddles would hit the ground and even with liners I constantly got flats.
I digging it grizzly is a beast it looks even better and bigger in person 🤙😎
do you have a review of the Ehora bikes sorry if I spelled it wrong
I love the look of your bike!
Thank you!
Did you change the diameter of the tire in the settings?
The speed on the display was pretty close to GPS speed so I'm guessing so... hmmm I wanna know now 😄
I changed wheel size to 22in
Adjust the wheel size in your P settings, so your speedometer is more accurate. It still think you're going 36 and limiting the power to the motor.
WOW , thanks for the info , always wondered about that !!!
Just a little fyi the kickstand is adjustable.
Nice bike. No big deal to me at least on the speed.
Love your stuff. Might want to correct spelling of the title. It’s affect. Effect has the opposite effect of affect.
Yeah as the smaller tire has to do more rotations to equal one rotation of a bigger tire
A minor difference in state of charge of the battery can easily explain a 1mph difference.
I would put two phase runner controllers on it and hit 45 !!!! But man what’s nice bike 🚲 💨
Those are torque washers they are placement hangers.
If bumblebee the transformer was a ebike that's what he would look like 🙂
Nice looking bike. I do 0 to 40 mph in 5 seconds with my 3 motor ebike.
My new tires are bigger and hesvier. With rear motor i go 28-30 down from 30-35
With dual motor i go 38 mph up from 35.
I ride with the vee tire speedsters. They are taller, street pattern and ride them at 32psi
Are there any tires that have these featues but are also more puncture resistant? (I want the peace of mind knowing I won't ever have to deal with a flat )
Will they be good in rain? Dont think so right?
No, e-bikes are not good for riding in the rain.
I think those grips might be the exact same ones that I have on my ebike lmao
Possibly, just cheap ones from amazon :)
If it help handling it good
Shorter Tires Affect Your Speed.
Yes it definitely looks cool and really like the tires nice one man 👍 ✌ 🚵
did you wrap the frame too or no ?
Nope
@@CitizenCycle925 ok Thank You, i notice the yellow grizzly i got the frame does not look yellow ok, is why i ask ok :0
😊😊change the handle bars and you got something…

love it
I have 26" smoothies on my Philodo H8 and it's such a better ride.
a mile an hour is hardly worth reporting. you could probably compensate for that by adding pressure to the tires and do some easy improvement of aerodynamics.
Might be rpm related as to top speed. You lost some overdrive.
If you change the diameter of the tires on an automobile, it will make the speedometer inaccurate.

The addition of yellow to the front fender improves that bike's appearance, you should do the same to the back fender.
Cut the tall handlebars, drop them down to the yellow carbon fiber.
if you get bigger tires will go faster
those handlebars make this bike so ugly.. those alone spoil the look of this bike
Change the handle bars to bmx handle bars and this will look amazing
It looks like a clown's bike
*Promosm* 🍀

Supermoto look lol

Basic common sense. You have to experiment to discover? Seriously dude
