After hours and hours of practicing and following this video over and over I think I finally achieved a coffee spill that looks as real as his drawing.
I started watching Signor Barenghi draw realistic still lifes on RUclips a few years ago, and recently I decided to take up drawing with colored pencils. It is a big world of techniques, and he uses them all so well! Here he is using an under painting to get the foundation for colors in watercolor before working with the pencils. It seems like magic, but when you think about the skill and training for what he is really doing, it is even more wonderful.
Longer version of the timelapse is better than the shorter one because it shows a lot of effort that you took in this drawing even the shadow makes it real
I can smell the coffee coming off that picture… how did you do that? I not only am impressed by the art I am impressed by how you made me smell the picture through my phone that’s incredible.
That was the best 15 minutes of my day. Watching you create a mind bogglingly accurate drawing. I love seeing all the different techniques and mediums you use. Reminds me of one those wonderful hand created advertising illustrations from before photography and computers took over the publishing world. Stunning stuff ...again 😁🙏🙏🙏🙏
I actually thought he spilled coffee onto his paper and I was like if ur gonna draw something on that paper why did u spill something on it? Then I saw the title and it all made sense
I thought he was gonna do that trend/challenge where you spill coffee on the paper, wait for it to dry, see what the stain looks like and then make a piece from that :)
I can't believe I'm actually watching how it transformed into life-like painting! The jug looks sooooo shiny like real silver or tin or whatever you call that metal! Just awesome!
1st time viewer.. Wow..I love your sense of chrome..metal reflection to build depth without back ground....with a cup next to it and it's represented reflection in the spilled urn would be top notch.. I love your art style and look forward to watch old/new videos... subscribed!
In this video, gouache, markers, colored pencils, and a pen I've never seen before may be used. I'm not sure if it's paint or pigment when using an airbrush. Gouache is the foundation of the whole painting. Then use colored pencils to add highlights and details. Maybe some distressing. The painting is very well done. I just don't have the opportunity to paint right now. But I have seen many painting tutorials. The process is almost the same. They all require an understanding of shadow distribution, highlights, etc. Especially the direction of light. This uses almost all current painting methods. It's not a pure sketch, nor a single painting tool. Because different tools have different advantages and disadvantages.
"Why isn't Marcello Barenghi in Wikipedia?" There's a handful ("very few") hyperealistic artists that should be on Wikipedia for their unique and extensive training in this type of art!" Hopefully, someone with some time on their hands could indulge into these artists, "when they were born, where they were born, age, parents, when they became interested in art, if there are others in their family who might have the same interests etc. I think his followers would be very interested in Marcello's background! "He's definitely not new to this kind of abilities. 💖 watching you draw and 🎨! Just another admirer!
Amazing skillset! Respect your talent from the bottom of my heart! Just a small note; please add "draw" or "create" in-between 'to' and 'a' in your heading..
So awesome! Mind if I ask what kind of plastic you used to cover and cut? I have some temp sticks, but they stick too hard, they'd rip the paper up lifting them up.
Outstanding as ever. All your 3D works stand out! 😅 No matter what I see you do, it always blows my mind! 🤯 I do _not_ mean to be cheeky, and ignore me or say no if you would rather, but I'm going to ask something of you as a beginner who is trying to learn about all the different media artists use in their drawings and paintings before I really try to learn how to paint. Could you please consider listing the types of media that you use? I don't mean to turn it into a tutorial (I appreciate that you have that set up and I don't want to interfere with or undermine them), just give us a list of materials in your description. E.g. in this work, are your pencils oil, watercolour or ordinary, or any other type of pencils? Just by listing "coloured pencils" we'd understand you mean the typical ones, but adding their "nature", for want of a better word, if different would be a big help. After all, there are so many types of pencil, and other media these days that a budding artist could end up spending a lot of money on things they'll never use! I think I saw you use a pigment pen (I think they're called that?), so if that was on the list it wouid help - it doesn't have to be "in order of appearance," but that would definitely be good! And don't worry about adding anything more than once; as we recognise what's in the list, it would turn spotting it again, particularly if a different colour, into a "side quest"! I would also love to know what you use in the spray gun to create the shadows (they always look awesome!). My son, who makes really intricate, miniature models, has told me a bunch of things that he uses, so I really need the answer from the one who uses it! I'm sorry if I'm being cheeky, I certainly don't mean to be rude, I'm just trying to learn about which things to buy and which to not bother with. Should you do this, over time we'll be able to pick out what effect is caused by which item, and that would be so very helpful! Whatever you do, keep the videos coming. They're awesome!

Sick! Keep up the good work 💯
You're so patient, give me a like
My favorite part is the scratch marks on the coffee jar. The texture is so good
Also the reflection on the coffee looks very realistic
imagine coming to watch someone draw but end up getting a whole art class. this is crazy good!

Thank you.

You deserve Nobel for this skill of drawing
Nobel prizes aren't awarded for drawing, you muppet! 😂
They're for physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and peace.
It is so amazing to see how you are creating all your realistic drawings line by line. Terrific! 👍😍

I was watching it and it’s almost like I didn’t see it being draw, I just got drawn in and it kept morphing in detail… incredible work
At times, I thought your coffee jug was an actual REAL one....Your drawing/coloring is outstanding!

This is really incredible. It's always satisfying to see someone successfully do photorealism. Love all the different media you use
Your skill in capturing realism is truly impressive
Che tecnica e che arte magistrale!!! Complimenti, sembra un oggetto vero...ed il liquido versato è apoteosi totale.
I can't believe I'm actually watching how it transformed into life-like painting! The jug looks sooooo shiny like real silver or tin or whatever you call that metal! Just awesome!
Truly a masterpiece and an epitome of hyper realism.
Aloha...Stunning as always, been following you for years now and your work always amazes me
THAT is AMAZING! I don't have that kind of patience! (nor an air brush machine or the knowledge to use it). just AMAZING.

Excellent how to have given the Pot a Brushed Steel effect.
Absolutely amazing Marcello!!! I'm shocked at your skill!!!
Looks like tea lol. Am just amazed watching this with my son Ashy. Actually it's probably more realistic than the real thing.
No words will be sufficient to appreciate this !
A GENIUS of art...
Dude, You didn't draw the coffee, YOU LITERALLY SPILLED IT!!!
Rien à dire ❤😮 , just you're one of the greatest drawer I've seen in my life ❤❤🎉 spectacular 😂

I spilled a coffee jug on my cardboard. It kinda looks real and easier.
I did the same but it still doesn’t look as real as his drawing.
😂😂😂
Maestro. Excelente trabajo. A mi pareja y a mí nos dejó estupefactos.
Impressionante.. Quanto mi piacerebbe disegnare così.. Bravissimo!

... And then ...
...
1000% perfect detail.🙏🏾😇
Am i the only one who feels like i can taste it?...😮
I can taste it too

Попробуйте, навряд ли получится так реалистично.😅
