In this video, we'll be going over several equilibrium ICE table questions involving initial pressure, final pressure, total pressure, moles, volume, equilibrium concentration, small K values, and Kc. This is part 3 in a series of videos where we'll look at all the different ways ICE table problems can be asked.

at 6:51, wouldn't you multiply both the partial pressures rather than adding them?

The question was asking for the total pressure not the product of the pressure thats why he added (total= + and product= x)

    How is 2x^2 times x = 4x^3? wouldnt it be 2x^2 x 1x = 2x^3???

The entirety of (2x) is being squared so not only do you square the x, you also square the 2 which equals 4x^2. You should put parenthesis around the thing you are squaring to avoid confusion. Also, when multiplying exponents you do it by adding their degrees. So 4x^2 * x^1 is equal to 4x^3 (Of course this is assuming they have the same base).
